Mumbai, August 20 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has teamed up with director Apoorva Lakhia for a war action drama Battle of Galwan, which is based on the events that took place between the Indian and Chinese troops at the Galwan region on June 15, 2020 when 200 Indian soldiers bravely defended their territory against a force of 1200 Chinese Liberation Army soldiers. ## The film was officially announced recently with the first look poster, and now, the shoot of it has begun in Ladakh. On Wednesday, some pictures from the shooting spot went viral on social media. There were rumours that the movie might get shelved, but the latest development suggests it is well on schedule. ## Produced by Salman Khan Films, Battle of Galwan stars Salman Khan in the lead role, portraying the late Colonel B. Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment, who heroically led Indian soldiers during the conflict. The movie has Chitrangda Singh as the female lead, while Himesh Reshammiya is the music composer. ## The official release date of BOG has not been announced yet, but Salman Khan hinted in a recent media interaction that the film won't be released on Eid 2026, and they are eying either January or June 2026 theatrical release. The movie is set to go on floors in August this year, and ahead of it, the possible release date plans have been revealed. ## Salman Khan's Battle of Galwan To Skip Eid 2026 Release? ## According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the much-awaited film might skip releasing during the Eid weekend in 2026. This particular holiday period has seen Salman's many films in the past, but the same may not be the case with his upcoming movie. ## "The makers are not looking at releasing the film on Eid. This is because three films are already scheduled for release on March 19, 2026 – Yash-starer Toxic, the comic caper Dhamaal 4 and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's intense romantic drama Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal", says the report. ## The report further stated that with Eid release almost ruled out, the makers are considering to the bring the film to the big screen in either January or June 2026. It is said that the makers are planning to wrap the shoot in 55-60 days, so there is a possibility of a January 2026 release. Helen Remembers Shammi Kapoor On 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'

Mumbai, Jan 8 (IANS) Enigmatic yesteryear actress and dancer Helen recalled late actor Shammi Kapoor on the singing reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'. As Helen is appearing as a special guest, each contestant gave power-packed performances on her famous dance numbers.## While each of them has given their best it was Vraj and Rajashri's dance moves on the song 'O Haseena Zulfonwali Jane Jahan' from the film 'Teesri Manzil', that took Helen down memory lane.## Feeling nostalgic after witnessing Vraj and Rajashri's performance, Helen said: "Such a beautiful performance! I just went down memory lane, and it reminded me of Shammi Ji today. Shammi Ji, are you listening?. If he would have been here, he would have been so happy after seeing your performance".## She recalled working with the late actor and continued: "We both have worked in a lot of films together but let me tell you, he was a prankster, he used to make us all laugh on set. We have done rehearsals for this song around 8 to 10 times, and Shammi Ji had his style. He never used to do any rehearsals".## When Helen's husband and screenwriter Salim Khan made an appearance in the video, she reminisced how even he was part of the famous track 'O Haseena Zulfonwali Jane Jahan' and played drums on it.## She further added: "Salim Saab played a small role, too.
