Lady Gaga issues a statement on the Black Lives Matter protest in the US
American singer, songwriter Lady Gaga has issued a statement on the ongoing protest in the United States Of America against the killing of a black man George Floyd by a policeman. Lady Gaga is among the several Hollywood stars who have supported the Black Lives Matter protest in the US. ## While supporting the protest, Lady Gaga said that the people of America must show their love for the black community, and said, she as a white, privileged woman, take an oath to stand by that. ## The 34-year old has lashed out at US President Donald Trump by calling him a fool and racist. She wrote, "We have known for a long time that President Trump has failed. He holds the most powerful office in the world, yet offers nothing but ignorance and prejudice while black lives continue to be taken. We have known he is a fool, and racist since he took office.
