Bengaluru, October 16 - Supermrly talented and versatile actor, Prithviraj Sukumaran has been confirmed to star in Prabhas-fronted Salaar. On his birthday today (October 16), Hombale Films unveiled the first look poster of the actor. ## Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the role of 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐚𝐫 in the movie and the first look poster gives the glimpse into his rustic look in the movie. Bengaluru, October 16 - After becoming a rare 100 crore grosser at the worldwide box office, the latest Kannada sensation Kantara is now behind only Yash-fronted KGF film franchise to emerge as the Non-KGF Kannada industry hit. ## The Rishab Shetty-starrer has scored approx. 115 crores so far in 16 days, making it the third highest-grossing Kannada movie of all time, after "KGF: Chapter 2", and "KGF: Chapter 1". The adventure action thriller film has overtaken Rakshit Shetty's "777 Charlie" (approx. 103 crores) to become a new non-KGF industry hit.## Interestingly, four out of the top 5 highest-grossing Kannada films of all time have released in 2022 as only KGF-1 was released in 2018. Kichcha Sudeepa's "Vikrant Rona" is the fifth biggest movie in the list with approx. 100 crores worldwide. ## Hombale Films has been churning out some critically acclaimed films that are equally successful at the box office. Bengaluru, September 29 - Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil will reportedly be headlining KGF producer, Hombale Films' next production. The production house teased a new big announcement today (Sept. 29) with the tagline "A race against time". ## According to LetsCinema, Hombale Films-headed by Vijay Kirgandur will announce a new film tomorrow (Sept.30) with Fahadh Faasil. Pawan Kumar, who directed the Kannada movie "U-Turn" and its Tamil-Telugu bilingual remake, will reportedly be directing Hombale's film with Fahadh. ## The studio will make the official announcement tomorrow at 10:16 AM. Fahadh, meanwhile, will next be seen in the Tamil political thriller film "Maamannan", which is currently under production. After the blockbuster box office success of "KGF Chapter 2", the studio officially launched their next movie with Muhurtha shot on May 20, Friday. ## The movie was announced way back in 2020 with the first look poster, featuring Srii Murli as a Cop. The script of "Bagheera" is written by Prashanth Neel while it will be directed by Dr. Suri. The movie marks the second collaboration between Neel and Srii Murli, after 2014's flick Ugramm. Bangalore, March 26 - One of the biggest Kannada production houses, Hombale Films, fronted by Vijay Kiragandur, is gearing up for its biggest release yet in the form of Yash-starrer "KGF: Chapter 2". The Pan-India film, which is expected to break many existing box office records, will be debuting in theaters worldwide on April 14 in multiple languages. ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, "KGF 2" is the second part of the studios' hugely successful 2018's film that is currently the highest-grossing Kannada movie of all time with a worldwide cume of 238 crores. The sequel is carrying a lot of hype and buzz and is sure to take a mammoth opening, especially in the Hindi dubbed version. ## KGF is not the only Pan-India movie in the development under Hombale Films. The studios' "Salaar", fronted by superstar Prabhas is already in production and almost 30% shoot is completed. The Kannada-Telugu bilingual movie is being directed by Prashanth Neel, and there are strong reports that this movie will also be released in two parts. It will be released in multiple languages including Hindi and is touted to be as strong as KGF. ## Apart from the aforementioned movies, Hombale Films is working on two more Pan-India films, for which the official announcement will be made in the month of June. Vijay Kiragandur has confirmed the development of those films during a recent interview with Pinkvilla.## "We will be announcing two more Pan Indian films in the month of June.
