My child friend, create such an atmosphere at home that people without work, without reason, do not leave the house. Your stubbornness can bring huge results: PM PM) ## In today's situation, we have to save the country from lockdown. State Governments Should Keep Medical Oxygen Demand Under Control: Union Minister Piyush Goyal

BY SACNILK

New Delhi, April 18, 2021, In a recent interview with news agency ANI, India's Union Minister Piyush Goshal talked about oxygen demand by the state government. ## State governments should keep demand (for medical oxygen) under control. Demand-side management is as important as supply-side management. Containing COVID spread is the responsibility of state governments & they should fulfil this responsibility: Union Minister Piyush Goyal ## If cases continue to rise unlimitedly, then it will pose a major challenge for the healthcare infrastructure of the country. We are with the state governments but they need to manage the demand & take concrete steps to contain COVID spread: Union Minister Piyush Goyal to ANI ## We need to use medical oxygen rationally & stop its wastage. Patients should be given the required amount of oxygen only. There're reports of oxygen wastage & about patients being given oxygen even if they don't need it. We've urged state govts to keep an eye on it: Piyush Goyal ## On this statement, Rajasthan's CM Ashok Gehlot posted a tweet, "I condemn this insensitive statement of Mr. Piyush Goyal in the difficult time of the Covid pandemic. State governments need Oxygen for patients admitted to their hospitals, not for their private use." ## Mr Gehlot also appealed to Hon'ble PM to give a warning to ministers to not issue such insensitive statement so that states can coordinate in a better way with the centre. ## I appeal to the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Mr. @narendramodi ji, to give warning to the ministers to not issue such insensitive statement so that states can coordinate in a better way with the centre. And people in distress do not suffer mentally because of it.— Ashok Gehlot (@ashokgehlot51) April 18, 2021 ## On April 19, 2021, India recorded 2.71 lakh new covid-19 cases and the situation is getting worse now. ## Wear Mask!! ## For more and the latest news about India, stay tuned to us.
