Bayley Shares Her Previous Private Text Messages With IYO SKY Before WrestleMania Collision

Ahead of their WrestleMania 40 clash, Bayley has revealed a glimpse into her past communication with IYO SKY, formerly known as Io Shirai. ## The messages, shared on social media, date back to March 2022 and showcase Bayley reaching out to Shirai, then an NXT Superstar, with an idea (possibly represented by a knife emoji in the screenshot). Shirai's enthusiastic response suggests the beginnings of a potential collaboration.## While the full details of Bayley's initial concept remain veiled, Shirai would indeed appear alongside Bayley and Dakota Kai at SummerSlam 2022 under the new ring name IYO SKY. The trio would later form the dominant faction Damage CTRL, capturing a victory against Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka at Clash at the Castle in September 2022.## The dynamic of Damage CTRL would shift throughout 2023, with Asuka joining the group in November, reuniting with her former partner Kairi Sane. However, tensions arose within the group as Asuka and Sane attacked Bayley, the reigning Royal Rumble winner, on February 2nd, 2024, setting the stage for their WrestleMania showdown.## With Dakota Kai also turning on Bayley on the latest episode of SmackDown, WrestleMania 40 promises a complex and potentially emotional encounter between former allies Bayley and IYO SKY. ## Less than 2 weeks away.#WrestleMania pic.twitter.com/duqLPHv81M— Bayley (@itsBayleyWWE) March 27, 2024 ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Former WWE Star Mandy Rose Details What She Wanted To Achieve During Her Run On 'NXT' Between 2021 And 2022

Former WWE Superstar Mandy Rose, who enjoyed her most successful run in her final stint with "WWE NXT," has opened up about the changes she made to refresh her character. In a recent interview on McKenzie Mitchell's YouTube channel, Rose revealed her desire to evolve during her 2021-2022 return to "NXT." She took this run seriously and wanted her character to reflect that.## "I went with the whole dark hair look and I just had kind of a different vibe going," Rose said. "I just wanted to be a little edgier, I wanted to be taken more serious because it was always 'The Golden Goddess' and I wanted to switch it up." ## This character shift coincided with her most dominant period. Rose reigned as the "NXT" Women's Champion for over a year, defeating popular wrestlers like Dakota Kai, Meiko Satomura, and Io Shirai (now IYO Sky). However, her reign ended abruptly in December 2022 when Roxanne Perez dethroned her, followed by her release from WWE.## The reasons for her release remain ambiguous. Some reports indicate it stemmed from the content on her FanTime page, deemed incompatible with WWE's PG image or conflicting with a sponsorship deal.## Rose had a rollercoaster seven-year career with WWE. After spending all of 2016 in "NXT," she transitioned to the main roster for four years before returning to "NXT" in 2021, where she remained until her release. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Ranking The Top 5 Highlights From WWE SmackDown On November 10, 2023

Chicago, 11 November - Here are the top 5 highlights of the November 10th episode of WWE SmackDown which aired live at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH. Let's check out the top 5 highlights below: ## #1. Santos Escobar's Heel Turn: The segment opens with anticipation for Santos Escobar's heel turn, a significant development in his character arc. The gradual shift from babyface to heel is a pivotal moment in a wrestler's storyline, and for Escobar, it adds layers to his persona. The tension is built effectively as he confronts Rey Mysterio, and the subsequent interaction with Carlito sets the stage for a potential feud. Escobar's departure through the crowd adds an element of unpredictability, leaving fans curious about the direction his character will take. ## This turn is particularly intriguing given Escobar's history with Mysterio and the LWO. The narrative potential lies in exploring the reasons behind Escobar's departure and how it will impact both Mysterio and the LWO stable. ## #2. Bobby Lashley vs. Carlito Match: ## The in-ring action between Bobby Lashley and Carlito is described as one-sided, with Lashley dominating most of the match. While the outcome is predictable, it serves a purpose in building Lashley's credibility as a dominant force. The concern raised about Carlito's occasional losses in his WWE comeback adds an element of intrigue, questioning the direction of his character. The post-match angle, however, steals the spotlight. The chaotic brawl involving the Street Profits, Wilde, Toro, and Escobar emphasizes the internal conflicts within the LWO stable. Escobar's involvement in the beatdown and his reluctance to help Carlito hint at deeper issues. The tension escalates with Rey Mysterio's intervention, culminating in Escobar's surprising attack on Mysterio. ## #3. Damage CTRL Segment: ## Bayley's address regarding her plans for Damage CTRL and the surprise appearance of Kairi Sane injects new energy into the women's division. The revelation that Sane forgives Bayley for a past attack raises eyebrows, setting the stage for a potential redemption arc for Bayley. The skepticism expressed by the commentator adds a layer of intrigue, questioning the simplicity of Sane's forgiveness. The segment's significance lies in the formation of Damage CTRL as a formidable faction. With SKY (presumed to be Io Shirai) and Dakota Kai by her side, Bayley positions herself as the leader of a powerful trio. ## #4. Dragon Lee vs. Cedric Alexander Match: ## The description of the match between Dragon Lee and Cedric Alexander highlights the enjoyable nature of the bout. The emphasis on crowd reactions, especially the "This is awesome!" chants, underscores the audience's appreciation for quality in-ring action. The call for more matches of this type on WWE programming suggests a desire for a diverse range of wrestling styles and a focus on showcasing the talent of the roster. ## The positive response from the crowd suggests that fans are receptive to dynamic and engaging matches, and the hope for more such encounters raises questions about the booking decisions and the variety of matches presented on WWE shows. ## #5. LA Knight and Grayson Waller Segment: ## The segment featuring LA Knight and Grayson Waller is characterized by strong mic work from both performers. Knight's response to his loss at Crown Jewel and his determination not to be pushed to the back of the line maintains his status as a credible contender. Waller's insertion into the narrative as a provocateur questioning Knight's abilities adds a personal touch to their feud. The subsequent match between LA Knight and Grayson Waller is described as a solid television match, serving its purpose in keeping Knight in the spotlight. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Charlotte Flair vs. Io Shirai Match Added To 7/21/23 WWE SmackDown At Last Minute

WWE is constantly evolving, and this dynamic nature sometimes necessitates immediate plan changes, especially when concerns about COVID-19 persist, as the pandemic is not entirely over yet. Such an instance occurred on last week's SmackDown, requiring some quick thinking from the team. ## According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the Charlotte Flair vs. IYO Sky match on SmackDown was not originally scheduled to take place. Instead, it was hastily put together at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. ## The situation arose because a few individuals who were initially scheduled for the show couldn't appear, primarily due to COVID-related reasons. While some may not have tested positive, they were in close proximity to COVID-19, prompting adjustments to the show's lineup. As a result, Charlotte Flair's match with IYO Sky was a late replacement, as it was not part of the original plan. ## Such unexpected situations may happen again in the future, given that the card is always subject to change in WWE. The company faces the challenge of putting on live television broadcasts, where the show must go on regardless of the circumstances. Ideally, WWE hopes that any COVID-related issues do not persist, as they have various ongoing projects, and altering plans is something they aim to avoid whenever possible. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Somebody who has really impressed me, I love working with Cora Jade at NXT. I love her character development and how she's really evolved. Tiffany Stratton. Never judge a book by its cover. Tiffany has really embraced her character, and she's interesting to watch, but she's also open to, 'this is what I need to work on.' ## She said she wants to get better in the ring and knows that she's still not there yet, but she wants to grow. Formerly Dakota Kai was one of the best things about NXT television, but that didn't accomplish her. Triple H Not Expected To Step Off The Gas Pedal Anytime Soon As He Re-Shapes The Roster

There has been an update on the recent return following Triple H's takeover on WWE. ## Triple H, whose real name is Paul Levesque, was announced as WWE's new head of creative late last month when Vince McMahon announced his retirement. Vince would step down after two Wall Street Journal reports he paid $14.6 million to women amid allegations of sexual misconduct. ## Triple H was previously the head of creative for NXT from 2010 until he suffered a cardiac event in September 2021. During this stint on the NXT brand kept up gaining the prize from almost every superstar within the company. ## The perfect example could be given on the basis of what happened during SummerSlam. Everyone was expecting something to take place at the event and it did leave up at some point. Dakota Kai made her return to the company, aligning herself with Bayley and IYO SKY (Io Shirai). ## Plush, On the August 5 edition of SmackDown, Karrion Kross and Scarlett (Scarlett Bordeaux) made surprise appearances during the main event segment, with Kross attacking Drew McIntyre and teasing a bout with Roman Reigns. ## According to Fightful Select, Kross and Scarlett’s signings came together very quickly. The report noted that both were among the talent discussed by Triple H and higher-ups earlier this week about ‘bolstering’ the WWE main roster. ## A ‘feeling out process’ has also reportedly started regarding a number of other names who were discussed for potential returns. Fightful noted that sources told them not to expect Triple H to step off the gas pedal anytime soon as he re-shapes the roster. ## The report also revealed that Triple H has held several talent meetings individually over the course of the past week. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Top NXT Names Discussed For WWE Main Roster

A top NXT act could be headed to WWE's main roster as early as this weekend. ## Fightful Select previously reported that Gunther and Marcel Barthel were discussed for call-ups. Since then, there are more names that have been a part of those discussions. ## According to the latest from Fightful Select, LA Knight and Raquel Gonzalez have both been pitched as potential call-ups. Raquel seems to be expected by most within NXT, but LA Knight's situation didn't seem as certain. ## One of the pitches involves LA Knight potentially as a manager because of his highly acclaimed mic work. ## Knight worked a dark match back in January against Roderick Strong, winning the match. Raquel Gonzalez defeated Toni Storm in one back in October, then was brought up in February to work and win a dark match against Io Shirai. ## There have been several pitches to bring her up in the past that didn't come to fruition. As with anything, it's never certain until it happens on television. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
