Tokyo, January 28 - SS Rajamouli's period action drama film "RRR", which is flying high in the international awards, has completed 100 days at the Japan box office on a sensational note. ## Starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, "RRR" was released in Japan on October 21, 2023, and has been going strong there week after week. It has already become the biggest Indian grosser a long time ago in Japan by crossing Rajinikanth's "Muthu" (¥400 million) and it continues to pile on the momentum. ## The blockbuster movie is now in its 15th weekend with a gross collection of approx. ¥725 million (approx. 45.50 crores) in 100 days. The last couple of weeks has been extraordinary for "RRR" in the anime country with the 14th week emerging as the biggest so far in its run over there. ## "RRR" grossed ¥120 million in its 14th week, which is ¥39 million more than the first-week collection in the country. The awards buzz and Dolby cinema release have provided a major push to the "RRR" collection. Tokyo, January 19 - SS Rajamouli's period action drama RRR is continuing with its historic run and turns a blockbuster at the Japan box office.## Starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, "RRR" has completed 94 days in Japanese cinemas, grossing ¥650 million or 40.65 crores so far. Over the last few days, the collection in the anime country has jumped, thanks to the film's win at Golden Globe and its release in Dolby cinema and increase in IMAX screens. ## The Oscars nominations, which are scheduled to take place on January 24th, could give a further boost to the "RRR" collection in Japan. Tokyo, December 13 - Superstar Rajinikanth's "Muthu's" long-standing box office record has finally been broken as SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR has become the highest-grossing Indian film in Japan. ## "RRR", starring Jr. NTR, and Ram Charan has completed its 8th week at the Japan box office and has grossed ¥410 million (Rs. 24.88 crores) with 271K footfalls so far, which is also the highest for an Indian film. It has outdone Rajinikanth's "Muthu's" which had grossed ¥400 million in 1998. ## The SS Rajamouli-directed "RRR" was released in Japan in October this year and scored the biggest opening weekend for an Indian movie there. Though the numbers of "RRR" weren't as high as the makers had predicted it maintain a steady run throughout and finally topped "Muthu's" record to become the new number one Indian grosser in Japan. ## "RRR" is looking to go past ¥500 million and it was originally predicated to have this number. Chennai, November 8 - Tamil star Karthi is in fine form this year and with back-to-back big hits. The talented actor has had three films - Viruman, Ponniyin Selvan: I, and Sardar, released this year and all three went on to become successful at the box office. ## Now, as per the latest confirmed reports, Karthi has started the shooting of a new film titled Japan. Actress Anu Emmanuel is playing the female lead role and this is the first time when she is sharing screen space with Karthi. ## "Japan" is being directed by Raju Murugan who has previously directed films like "Joker", which won the National Award for the Best Tamil film, along with "Cuckoo", and "Gypsy".
