The September 21st edition of AEW Dynamite (Grand Slam) crowned the new AEW World Champion! ## In the main Bryan Danielson battled Jon Moxley in the Tournament of Champions final to crown a new world champion. MJF was seen watching the match in a luxury box with his casino chip. ## The match went back and forth with the business of various submission holds and nearfalls. In the end, the two landed on the ramp and Moxley hit Bryan with the Death Rider. ## Bryan rolls into the ring and Moxley puts on a sleeper submission. At AEW Dynamite: AEW Grand Slam (2022) Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley battled in the Tournament final for the vacant AEW World Championship. ## After CM Punk won the AEW World Championship at All Out, Punk got suspended due to a legitimate backstage physical altercation following the event's media scrum. ## On the following episode of Dynamite, AEW president Tony Khan announced that the AEW World Championship was vacated. Tony Khan took down AEW World Champion CM Punk over the controversy following All Out. At the same time, Khan announced the Grand Slam tournament of champions to determine the new AEW World Champion. Now Sammy Guevara is taking this seriously because he knows he has to win the AEW Championship and is preparing for it.## Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin Hull made it to the second round of the tournament during the recent rampage. Tay Melo and Anna Jay intervened during the match which resulted in the match being handed over to the Spanish Gods and secured an easy win.## Guevara posted a photo of his upcoming match against Jon Moxley on Twitter on Saturday, along with some captions that show his confidence for victory. CM Punk and Jon Moxley will battle for the AEW World Championship this Sunday in the main event of All Out, but the road to that match is one that many fans didn't expect. ## Punk returned from his surgery-requiring foot injury at the Quake By The Lake event on Aug. 10 and it was immediately apparent that AEW was looking to have Punk and Mox unify the AEW World and Interim AEW World Championships. ## However, due to heated confrontations between the two, it was announced that the match would instead take place on the August 24 episode of Dynamite, where Moxley quickly defeated Punk, becoming the undisputed AEW World Champion in the process. The following week on Dynamite, Moxley issued an open contract for a championship match at All Out, in which Punk signed the contract.
