American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift on Saturday (June 13) calls out for the unity of all Tennesseans by taking down statues of the historical figures who did bad things through systemic oppression of hatred and violence on the black community. ## The singer took to Twitter and wrote a thread of Tweets, "As a Tennessean, it makes me sick that there are monuments standing in our state that celebrate racist historical figures who did evil things. Edward Carmack and Nathan Bedford Forrest were DESPICABLE figures in our state history and should be treated as such".## "Taking down statues isn’t going to fix centuries of systemic oppression, violence and hatred that black people have had to endure but it might bring us one small step closer to making ALL Tennesseans and visitors to our state feel safe - not just the white ones," she wrote in another tweet.## She tweeted another saying that it is hurtful to continue fighting for those monuments that have a racist history. "I’m asking the Capitol Commission and the Tennessee Historical Commission to please consider the implications of how hurtful it would be to continue fighting for these monuments".## "When you fight to honor racists, you show black Tennesseans and all of their allies where you stand, and you continue this cycle of hurt. Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar came in support of former West Indies cricket team captain Daren Sammy over the racial remark during his Indian Premier League instinct with Sunrisers Hyderabad. Sammy alleged that when he was playing with SRH in the IPL, some of his teammates used to call him 'Kaalu'. Gal Gadot starring Wonder Woman 1984 release date has again been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan unveils the first look of his digital debut web-series Breathe: Into The Shadows that is going to stream on Amazon Prime Video from July 10. She is up against a masked psycho killer who tortures the kids after kidnapping them. While other characters lose hope, Keerthy's character believes that her son is still alive and she goes in search of him. ## The leading lady Keerthy Suresh said in a statement, "Penguin has definitely been one of the most exciting and interesting projects I’ve worked on. As a mother, Rhythm is both gentle and caring, but also fiercely determined. She’s complex but authentic, and I think that will really strike a chord with audiences.
