Mumbai, April 27 - Actors Ajay Devgn and Kichcha Sudeepa had a war of words on Twitter regarding language's impact on movies.## Ajay Devgn reacted to Kichcha's statement on pan India movies in which Kichcha Sudeepa said Hindi is not the national language of India. Ajay took this statement seriously and took to Twitter and asked Sudeepa why is he dubbing his movies to Hindi then. ## An hour later Kichcha Sudeepa warmly replied that he loves and respects Hindi and that's why he understands the language and asked Ajay if he replied in Kannada would he be able to understand and respond.## Fight over Hindi language status is quite common in the southern states. Many times people protest based on the national language. That is the main reason why the constitution of India hasn't declared Hindi as the national language. But Hindi is spoken by a majority of people in India and along with English, it is used as the language for official purposes. Bangalore, January 8 - The makers of Kichacha Sudeepa's big-budget action-adventure film "Vikrant Rona" have reinstated their commitment to the film's theatrical release, despite the lucrative OTT offers. Directed by Anup Bhandari, "Vikrant Rona" is currently slated for February 24, 2022, worldwide in multiple languages. ## Since the movie has been delayed a few times, there were reports that the makers might take the OTT route for the film. It has been reported that one of the leading digital platforms offered Rs. 100 crores for direct-to-OTT release. Producer Jack Manjunath too confirmed that they are getting many big offers but they are committed to the theatrical release of the film. ## "It is true that we have been receiving some really good offers for direct online releases as it is a film that created a buzz nationally. But the film has seen nearly three years of hard work to ensure it is a world-class 3D release. Hence, while the prices being offered are tempting, we are waiting for a proper theatrical release to ensure everyone sees our vision the way we intended them to", he said according to ETimes. ## Meanwhile, the makers haven't taken a call on pushing the release date of "Vikrant Rona" yet as the country is going through the third covid-19 wave. Many states have imposed restrictions on theaters, including Karnataka, where theater capacity has been reduced to 50% and night curfews have also been introduced. ## However, they did have to change their plans with regard to promotions. "We had a teaser that was planned for a January-11 release where it would have been playing along with all the big festive releases across different languages. But, with most of them postponing their releases, we were forced to change that plan and have deferred our teaser launch for now".## "Vikrant Rona" is a 3D film that will be released in Kannada along with dubbed versions of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and other languages. The cast of the film also includes Nirup Bhandari, Neeta Ashok, and Vasuki Vaibhav, among others. Bangalore, October 23 - First time since Darshan's "Roberrt" and Puneeth Rajkumar-led "Yuvarathnaa", the Kannada Film Industry is having a sigh of relief. It has been a hard time for the South Indian film industry because of the covid-19 pandemic, but now, it is looking for revival, all thanks to the much-needed boost from the recently released Kotigobba 3 and Salaga. ## The long-awaited Kichcha Sudeepa starrer "Kotigobba 3" might have faced financial issues before its release on October 15, it has brought joy to the industry with a solid box office response. With strong Rs. 27 crores India gross at the box office in the first 8 days, the Shiva Karthik-directed has become one of the top grossers after the second covid-19 wave India. ## On the other hand, Duniya Vijay-fronted and directed "Salaga", which opened a day earlier on October 14, is doing well at the Karnataka box office. So far, the crime thriller has grossed approx Rs. 17.50 crores in the first 9-days and have been declared hit at the box office. It also stars Dhananjay, Nagabhushan, and Sanjana Anand in key roles. ## Two big Kannada films running to packed houses across Karnataka are good news for theatre owners, many of whom were on the verge of closing down because of the pandemic and no big-ticket fresh releases. "Both films enjoying full occupancy at 90 percent of all centers for five days is a big development", says K V Chandrashekar, chairman of Kannada Exhibitors Association.## In the pandemic-hit year, Darshan starrer actioner "Roberrt" remains the highest-grossing Kannada film. It was released on 11 March and grossed over Rs. 69 crores worldwide and was declared super hit at the box office. Dhruva Sarja, and Rashmika Mandanna's "Pogaru" remain the second-highest Kannada film of 2021 with Rs. 45.10 crores worldwide while Puneeth Rajkumar and Sayyeshaa Saigal's "Yuvarathnaa" is at number 3 with Rs. 38.70 crores worldwide gross in 15 days. It was made available on Amazon Prime Video only after 9 days of theatrical release. ## Among the upcoming Kannada films, the industry has high hopes for Dr. Shivarajkumar's "Bhajarangi 2", which opens on October 29. The fantasy action film got a homogenous response for the trailer which promises a visual extravaganza film to watch on the big screen. Bangalore, October 17 - The long-awaited Kannada action-thriller film, Kotigobba 3 was released in theaters on October 15 and roaring at the box office. Bangalore, October 14 - The big-ticket Kannada film, Kotigobba 3 starring Kichcha Sudeepa was all set to release worldwide today on October 14. However, the financial issues between the producer and distributors played a spoilsport as the morning shows for the film got canceled.## Reportedly, the film's producer, Soorappa Babu, hasn't paid one of the film's financiers because of which the early morning shows have been canceled. This unfortunate situation left Kichcha's fans in anger as they raised slogans demanding the immediate release of the film and refused to leave theaters.## Now, Kichcha Sudeepa released a statement asking his fans to be patient and not damage the theatres. The actor also apologizes for the negligence from the cornered people and promised that his future films will not see such chaotic releases.
