BY SACNILK

Paul Heyman will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2024. The news, first reported by the Associated Press, comes as a well-deserved recognition for Heyman's immense contributions to the world of professional wrestling.## Heyman's career began in WCW, where his controversial persona "Paul E. Dangerously" managed iconic wrestlers like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Arn Anderson, and Rick Rude. His innovative use of promos and his signature oversized cell phone made him a distinctive figure in the industry.## After leaving WCW, Heyman took the independent scene by storm with his Philadelphia-based promotion, Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW). He transformed ECW into the notorious Extreme Championship Wrestling, known for its hardcore style and groundbreaking matches. Inspired by alternative rock music and MTV, ECW rose from public access to national pay-per-view, showcasing a unique blend of hardcore brawlers and skilled athletes. ## ECW's influence is undeniable, credited with inspiring WWE's iconic "Attitude Era" and becoming the third-largest wrestling company in the world before facing financial struggles in 2001. Heyman then landed in WWE, initially as a broadcast partner, but soon found himself leading the charge of the infamous "Invasion" storyline, where ECW stars challenged WWE for dominance. ## Heyman's ability to reinvent himself has been a constant throughout his career. He has formed memorable alliances with superstars like CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Big Show, and Kurt Angle, consistently using his sharp wit and strategic mind to elevate their careers. ## Currently, Heyman acts as the "Special Council" to the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. His guidance and outspoken nature have been instrumental in shaping one of the most dominant championship reigns in WWE history. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

These men and women stand tall as titans of the sport, etching their names onto the proverbial Mount Rushmore of Wrestling. ## Every year, the stakes are at their highest at this marquee event, captivating unparalleled attention like no other. While the legendary matchup between Hogan and Rock undeniably captivated audiences and ignited box-office magic at WrestleMania X8, it was the Triple H vs. Jericho showdown that ultimately claimed the coveted final slot, cementing itself as the grand finale of the spectacle. ## Let's check out the top 10 below; ## 1. Hulk Hogan: 8 Main Events ## Hulk Hogan was the focal point of the first nine WrestleManias, except WrestleMania 4. He won against Paul Orndorff, Roddy Piper (teamed with Mr. T), King Kong Bundy, Andre The Giant, Randy Savage, Sgt. Slaughter, and Sid Justice. ## His only loss was to The Ultimate Warrior in a Winner-Takes-All match. At WrestleMania 9, he had an impromptu match against Yokozuna, winning in under 30 seconds. ## 2. Despite some backlash, Reigns has closed the show multiple times, with four main events in a row. His most recent win was at WrestleMania 39 where he defeated Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. ## This year too at WrestleMania XL, Roman Reigns will sit on the top of the list when he gets to defend Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in the main event. ## 3. Triple H: 7 Main Events ## Triple H, one of the most decorated Superstars, has worked seven WrestleMania main events. Despite losses, he holds significant wins over Chris Jericho and Randy Orton and successfully defended his WWE Championship at WrestleMania 16. ## 4. His sole win was against John Cena at WrestleMania 28, while he lost the rematch at WrestleMania 29. Shawn Michaels: 5 Main Events ## Shawn Michaels, dubbed Mr. WrestleMania, has a poor win-loss record at the event with just 1 win in 5 appearances. Top 5 Longest Time Spent In A WWE Royal Rumble Match, Ranked

BY SACNILK

The Royal Rumble is a big deal for wrestling fans, and it's exciting to see who will come out on top. Winning the men's or women's Royal Rumble means getting a shot at the World Championship at WrestleMania. ## But the real challenge is endurance – the longer you stay in the Royal Rumble match, the better. The person who lasts the longest is called the "Iron Man" or "Iron Woman." There's no special prize for it, but it's still a cool accomplishment to stick it out in the Royal Rumble for a long time. As the 2024 Royal Rumble approaches, let's look back at some records set by wrestlers over the years.## #1. Daniel Bryan - 76:05 (2018 Greatest Royal Rumble) ## WWE acknowledges Daniel Bryan as the person who spent the most time in a single Royal Rumble. The 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble had a record 50 participants, which is more than the usual 30 in a regular Royal Rumble. Despite this, Bryan worked hard all night to reach the final three. Although he fell short in the end, it seemed like nobody could stop Braun Strowman that night. He managed to eliminate an impressive thirteen opponents on his way to victory. Interestingly, Daniel Bryan was not one of those thirteen. ## #2. Gunther - 71:40 (2023) ## Gunther holds the second spot with a total time of 71:40. However, it's important to mention that Gunther is recognized as the record holder in traditional 30-man Rumble matches with a time of 1:11:40. Daniel Bryan's time of 1:16:05 was achieved in a 50-man Rumble. ## Gunther entered first and got eliminated by Cody Rhodes, the winner of the 2023 Royal Rumble. ## #3. Rey Mysterio - 62:12 (2006) ## In the 2006 Royal Rumble, Rey Mysterio stood tall against the WWE giants. He endured physical attacks for over an hour, making it to the final three against former Evolution members Triple H and Randy Orton. ## By eliminating both, Rey Mysterio secured a significant victory, elevating himself in the WWE. This triumph paved the way for him to solidify his position by winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 22, defeating Randy Orton and Kurt Angle. Rey Mysterio, known for his thrilling style, never had to go back to being a mid-carder after that. ## #4. Chris Benoit - 61:31 (2004) ## Although WWE may want to overlook its history with Chris Benoit, there's no denying the impact the "Canadian Crippler" had at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia in 2004. In that year's Royal Rumble, Benoit entered as the first participant, breaking a decade-old record for the longest time in a single rumble. He was also only the second winner up to that point to enter at #1. ## Benoit's significant victory paved the way for him to compete for and win his only World Heavyweight Championship later that year at WrestleMania 20. In a triple threat match, he defeated Triple H and Shawn Michaels. ## #5. Rhea Ripley - 61:08 (2023) ## Rhea Ripley's move from NXT to the main roster has been impressive in WWE. In the 2023 Women's Royal Rumble, Ripley came in first and stayed in the match until the end, ultimately winning it. This adds up to a total time of 61 minutes and 8 seconds, making her the first woman in WWE to achieve such a feat. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Triple Threat War: AJ Styles, Randy Orton & LA Knight Battle For Roman Reigns Royal Rumble Shot On New Year's Revolution SmackDown

BY SACNILK

Stamford, December 16 - WWE has been consistently revisiting past pay-per-view themes for NXT over the years, such as No Mercy, Halloween Havoc, and Great American Bash. In a surprising move, the company is extending this practice to the main roster for SmackDown. Given the upcoming Christmas break, WWE granted the talent and crew time off and pre-recorded the December 22nd episode. ## During the taped show, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and LA Knight stepped into the ring to state their cases for facing Roman Reigns. Consequently, a triple threat match was scheduled for the New Year's Revolution episode of WWE SmackDown. The victor of this match would earn the opportunity to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble. ## It's worth noting that WWE previously organized three New Year's Revolution events from 2005 to 2007. The inaugural show featured a headline match pitting Triple H against Batista, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, and Edge in an Elimination Chamber match for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship, with Shawn Michaels serving as the special guest referee. ## The subsequent year saw John Cena defending the WWE Championship against Carlito, Chris Masters, Kane, Kurt Angle, and Shawn Michaels in an Elimination Chamber match. Cena managed to retain, only for Edge to seize the title through the first-ever Money in the Bank cash-in immediately following the match. ## At the third and final New Year's Revolution event, Cena defended the WWE Title against Umaga. These nostalgic callbacks to past events add an intriguing layer of anticipation for the upcoming showdowns on SmackDown and the Royal Rumble. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Former WWE Champion Confirms He Will Have Neck Surgery In Early 2024 To Have Artificial Discs Placed In Neck

BY SACNILK

New York, 26 November - During the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show podcast, Kurt Angle announced his plans for neck surgery which is scheduled for early 2024. ## The surgery involves the placement of artificial disc replacements in his neck and is aimed at improving his motor skills and overall quality of life. This decision comes after he previously expressed his desire to have the surgery in the early months of 2024. ## "Just so you know, I'm having neck surgery [at the] beginning of next year. They're going to put in artificial disc replacements and it's going to help [his hands]. I can't really grab things and things always slip out of my hands and fall. I have horrible motor skills," he said. ## "My arms, they actually atrophied three inches each, and I don't have any muscle [between his thumb and finger], this is completely flat. They're supposed to be muscle in there but it deteriorated. Atrophied. So when I get these rubber discs or disc replacements, they're going to open up the nerves so they can go down my arm so I can have better circulation." ## According to Kurt Angle, the recovery time for his upcoming surgery is expected to be two weeks. Although a specific date for the procedure has not been announced, Fightful is dedicated to providing readers with regular updates on Kurt Angle's condition as more information becomes available. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

A 16-time World Champion, he has taken on the likes of The Rock, Brock Lesnar, the late Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker and Randy Orton. In his most recent return to WWE, "The Greatest of All Time" hasn't been shy about making his presence known on the mic, as a guest referee and, of course, competing in the squared circle. Above all, however, Cena has proven to be a thorn in the side of The Bloodline. ## Since 2021, Cena has challenged Reigns for the the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, joined forces with Kevin Owens to defeat Reigns and then-"Honorary Uce" Sami Zayn, defeated Jimmy Uso and Sikoa in another explosive tag team encounter, and ushered in the fastest-rising star in SmackDown history, LA Knight, to challenge Reigns for his title at WWE Crown Jewel. After Cena delivered an Attitude Adjustment to Solo on the Oct. 20 edition of SmackDown, their showdown was inevitable. ## What will happen when the dangerous Sikoa looks to destroy Cena? Kurt Angle Opens Up About WWE Producer Departure: Anticipated Release And Lack Of Passion

BY SACNILK

New York, 16 October - Kurt Angle, a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, concluded his in-ring career at WrestleMania 35 with a loss to Baron Corbin. Following this, Angle transitioned into a backstage role as a producer within WWE. ## During his tenure as a producer, Angle occasionally made sporadic appearances on WWE television. However, his departure from the company occurred shortly thereafter. On April 15, 2020, Angle was released from his WWE contract as part of cost-saving measures due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. ## Despite his release from WWE, Angle has not refrained from making appearances on WWE television. His most recent appearance was on Raw is XXX, which took place on January 23, 2023. During this event, he participated in a segment with D-Generation X, which included Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, and X-Pac. ## In a recent episode of his own podcast, "The Kurt Angle Show," Angle reflected on his role as a WWE producer and discussed how it all came to an end. ## "Yes, [Mark Carano] called me. 'Hey, we're going to let you go.' Actually, I wasn't that into my job. I was a producer. I was killing time. I knew that if they were going to do cuts, I would be the first one let go because they were paying me a lot of money, more money than other producers. I knew that if they were going to do cuts and they were going to let go of someone, I'd be the first. I didn't put much into it, I really didn't. I should have been a lot more passionate about it," said Angle. ## Undoubtedly, Kurt Angle's legacy as a top WWE star during his in-ring career is firmly established. Throughout his tenure with WWE, Angle accomplished an impressive array of championship victories. His championship accolades include the WCW Championship (1 time), WCW United States Championship (1 time), World Heavyweight Championship (1 time), WWF/WWE Championship (4 times), WWE Tag Team Championship (1 time, where he and Chris Benoit were the inaugural champions), WWF European Championship (1 time), WWF Hardcore Championship (1 time), and WWF Intercontinental Championship (1 time). ## Notably, Angle also became the Fifth Grand Slam Champion, earned the title of King of the Ring in 2000, became the 10th Triple Crown Champion, and emerged as the victor of the WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament in 2002, all while teaming up with Chris Benoit. Jason Jordan Worked As A Producer On 7/31/23 WWE Raw

BY SACNILK

Chicago, 2 August 2023 - Chad Gable and Jason Jordan, who formed the formidable tag team American Alpha, had a relatively brief partnership that spanned just two years. Despite the short duration, they achieved remarkable success by capturing both the "NXT" and "SmackDown" Tag Team Championships. However, WWE management made the decision to separate them in 2017, leading them down different paths. ## Tragically, Jordan's wrestling career came to an abrupt halt in less than a year due to a severe neck injury. Subsequently, he made a significant career shift and transitioned to a role as a WWE producer, utilizing his expertise and knowledge to contribute behind the scenes. ## Per the latest report from Fightful Select, Jason Jordan produced this past Monday's Chad Gable vs. Gunther match and Judgment Day promo. ## In 2011, Jordan inked a contract with WWE, leading to his assignment in the developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Following his debut in NXT the next year, he joined forces with Chad Gable, and together they created the impressive tag team known as American Alpha. Their partnership resulted in them clinching the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2015. Later, the duo was drafted to the SmackDown brand, where they triumphed again, winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. ## In 2017, American Alpha parted ways when Jordan transitioned to the Raw brand, portraying the role of Kurt Angle's son. Subsequently, he formed a short-lived tag team with Seth Rollins and managed to secure the Raw Tag Team Championship in December 2017. Notably, he became one of the select few to achieve the distinction of winning the Raw, SmackDown, and NXT Tag Team Championships. Furthermore, he once held the FCW Tag Team Championship alongside CJ Parker. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk For More Wrestling News...

Ranking Cody Rhodes' Top 10 Matches Of All-Time

BY SACNILK

Since Cody Rhodes's return to the WWE, he has risen to become one of the most beloved and celebrated wrestlers worldwide, truly earning the status of a superstar within the company. ## His first departure from WWE was in 2016, and it was only after playing a significant role in founding All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and building a formidable reputation outside of WWE that he made his triumphant return. ## When he initially joined AEW, he faced some challenges with the fanbase, but eventually, he decided to come back to WWE, receiving an overwhelmingly positive reception at WrestleMania 38. ## From that point onward, his career soared to new heights. Despite a setback due to an injury that sidelined him for half a year, Cody Rhodes persevered and achieved remarkable success, winning the Royal Rumble and headlining WrestleMania in his first year back. This elevated his fame even beyond that of his legendary father, Dusty Rhodes, within the WWE. ## Here are my picks for Cody Rhodes' top 10 matches of all time: ## 1. Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins - Hell in a Cell 2022 Seth "Freakin" Rollins exuded unshakable confidence as he stepped into the Hell in a Cell Match, having already experienced four intense encounters in this unforgiving steel enclosure. On the other hand, it was Cody Rhodes' debut within the intimidating structure, making the situation even more challenging for him. To compound his difficulties, during the Hell in a Cell Kickoff, it was revealed that Rhodes had suffered a devastating injury while weight training – his right pectoral tendon had completely torn off the bone. ## Rhodes was showered with a standing ovation after the match, as the WWE Universe witnessed an awe-inspiring display of tenacity and determination within the Hell in a Cell. ## 2. Cody Rhodes vs. Dustin Rhodes - AEW Double or Nothing 2019 The match had minimal build-up, primarily consisting of a brief video package featuring interviews from both competitors. It was presented as a family rivalry, although the underlying motive seemed more focused on determining the superior wrestler rather than harboring genuine animosity.## The Double or Nothing 2019 match followed a deliberate and classic style, prioritizing compelling storytelling over flashy maneuvers. This unique approach set it apart from other matches on the show.## Throughout the intense encounter, there were heartfelt nods to their late father, the legendary Dusty Rhodes, and the ring saw a significant amount of bloodshed, adding to the dramatic spectacle. Cody relentlessly pursued the victory, attempting to vanquish the veteran gunslinger once and for all. His quest for triumph held personal significance, not just for his family but also for his self-validation. ## The match garnered widespread acclaim and received a prestigious five-star rating from Dave Meltzer. ## 3. Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins - WrestleMania 38 Unpredictably, the Visionary failed to foresee the return of Cody Rhodes, leaving Seth "Freakin" Rollins both stunned and determined as the former two-time Intercontinental Champion made his remarkable comeback to a WWE ring after a six-year absence. "The American Nightmare" seamlessly fit back into the action, engaging in a methodical and technical exchange with Rollins during the opening minutes of the match. ## Rhodes attempted a daring crossbody off the top rope, but Rollins expertly intercepted him mid-air with a rib-crushing dropkick, exploiting Rhodes' vulnerable midsection. Nevertheless, Rhodes displayed resilience, executing a spectacular dive through the ropes that sent Rollins flying over the announce table. Back in the ring, he followed up with an impressive crossbody, nearly securing a victory.## Rollins, however, retaliated by hurling Rhodes into the barricade with a powerful Buckle Bomb, followed by a punishing Falcon Arrow, pushing Rhodes to the brink. In a tense moment, Rollins prepared to deliver his signature stomp, but Rhodes skillfully evaded him twice, taking Rollins by surprise with a sudden Cross Rhodes for another astonishingly close nearfall. ## As the intensity escalated, both Superstars pulled out all the stops, exchanging knockout blows that left the WWE Universe in awe, wondering what it would take to determine the winner of this fierce contest. Despite surviving a Pedigree from Rollins, Rhodes unleashed consecutive devastating Cross Rhodes maneuvers, paying tribute to his late father with a Bionic Elbow, and then sealing the deal with a third Cross Rhodes to secure the victory in his long-awaited return match to WWE. ## 4. Cody Rhodes vs Nick Aldis – NWA 70th Anniversary Show The match was a true clash of generations, as the young upstart Cody Rhodes took on the veteran Nick Aldis. Rhodes was inspired by the legends of the past, and he paid tribute to them throughout the match. He used Dusty Rhodes' signature moves, he wore a Dustin Rhodes-inspired mask, and he even hit Aldis with a Randy Orton RKO. ## Aldis was no slouch, however. He is a master of the old-school style, and he brought his own brand of intensity to the match. He hit Rhodes with a variety of power moves, and he even busted him open with a stiff forearm shot. ## The match went the full three falls, and it was a back-and-forth battle the entire time. In the end, it was Rhodes who came out on top, but it was a hard-fought victory. The match was a fitting tribute to the history of the NWA, and it was a true classic. ## 5. Cody Rhodes Vs Rey Mysterio – WrestleMania XXVII Cody Rhodes faced off against Rey Mysterio, who made a spectacular entrance dressed as the beloved Captain America. Initially, Rhodes took charge and controlled much of the match, but Mysterio skillfully turned the tide later on. The climax of the contest featured Mysterio cleverly unmasking Rhodes and delivering a series of headbutts. ## However, Rhodes showed remarkable resilience by countering with a swift removal of Mysterio's knee brace. As the high-flying Rey attempted a daring dive, Rhodes cunningly incapacitated him with the knee brace, setting up the perfect opportunity to execute his signature move, the Cross Rhodes, and secure a triumphant victory. ## 6. Cody Rhodes Vs. Seth Rollins – WrestleMania Backlash 2022 Continuing his winning streak, Cody Rhodes achieved another remarkable triumph over Seth Rollins at WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday. ## Following an intense and captivating showdown, The American Nightmare emerged victorious by expertly thwarting Rollins' roll-up attempt and responding with a clever grip on the tights, securing the winning pinfall. ## 7. Cody Rhodes Vs. Sammy Guevara – AEW Beach Break 2022 One of the most exceptional bouts in Cody Rhodes' career occurred during a thrilling ladder match against Sammy Guevara for the coveted TNT Championship. This monumental event took place on the January 26, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite, marking the first-ever one-on-one ladder match in AEW history with the prestigious TNT title at stake. ## Earlier, Sammy Guevara had triumphed over Cody's brother, Dustin Rhodes, the previous week, securing the interim TNT Champion title when Cody unfortunately missed the show due to COVID. As a result, a highly anticipated unification ladder match was scheduled for the following week. ## A standout moment in the contest was when Sammy Guevara showcased his incredible athleticism, launching himself from the top rope onto a ladder and swiftly executing a mesmerizing diving cutter from an astonishing 15 feet above the ground, stunningly connecting with Cody Rhodes. ## 8. Cody Rhodes Vs Kurt Angle (WCPW True Legacy 2016) In front of a jam-packed Altrincham Ice Dome in Greater Manchester, Rhodes and Angle put on a captivating contest, seamlessly blending various wrestling styles. The match took a while to officially kick off, but the crowd cheered loudly as the two competitors, along with referee Steve Lynskey, entertained with an impromptu cartwheel display. Angle, the Olympic gold medallist, focused on targeting Rhodes' ankle, and his strategy proved effective as Rhodes eventually succumbed to the Ankle Lock and tapped out after a thrilling 12-minute bout. ## This wasn't the first time these two met, though. They had a prior encounter in August at Northeast Wrestling's Wrestling Under the Stars 5 event, with Cody emerging victorious in their inaugural clash. Their third match took place inside a steel cage at the 21st Wrestlefest event, which turned out to be Angle's final indie match before his return to WWE. Once again, Cody Rhodes triumphed in a hard-fought 12-minute battle. ## Cody and Angle pleasantly surprised many fans, including myself, with their WCPW showdown. Despite sharing some similarities in their in-ring styles, such as both executing a graceful top-rope Moonsault, their chemistry together was truly remarkable. ## 9. Cody Rhodes Vs. Kenny Omega Vs. Kota Ibushi – NJPW King Of Pro-Wrestling 2018 The triple threat match between Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Cody Rhodes at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling 2018 was a truly unique event. Not only was it one of only twelve triple threat matches in NJPW history, but it was also a clash of three of the greatest wrestlers in the world. ## 10. Cody Rhodes Vs. Brodie Lee – AEW Dynamite Chris Jericho 30th Anniversary Celebration Following his dominant victory over Rhodes, Brodie Lee stepped up to face challengers like Dustin Rhodes and Orange Cassidy in defense of his hard-won TNT Championship. During Rhodes' absence, Lee's title reign showcased his prowess as a formidable champion. ## A particularly memorable and historic moment during this period was the first-ever Dog Collar Match in AEW history, drawing inspiration from the legendary Greg Valentine vs. Roddy Piper clash at Starrcade in 1983. This unique contest was a testament to Rhodes' admiration for old-school wrestling and his desire to pay homage to iconic figures like his father, Dusty Rhodes, who left a lasting legacy in the sport. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Roman Reigns Could Surpass John Cena's WWE Record, Says Kurt Angle

BY SACNILK

While re-watching the July 4, 2005 episode of WWE Raw, Kurt Angle emphasized Cena's impressive ability to acclimate swiftly to the WWE environment. According to Angle, this adaptability was a key factor in Cena's remarkable success in the wrestling world. Angle further asserted that Cena's accomplishments and accolades have set him apart as one of the greatest WWE performers in history. ## Moreover, Angle discussed the potential of Roman Reigns, another prominent WWE superstar, surpassing John Cena's records. With Reigns currently making waves in the wrestling industry, Angle sees the possibility of him achieving even greater heights than Cena, setting new milestones and cementing his own legacy. ## "John Cena, he was maybe two or three years in the business by this time, and here he is on top. I mean, this kid picked it up very quickly, and he had arguably the best career in WWE history," said Angle. "He did win sixteen World Heavyweight Titles in WWE specifically. No one's ever done that." ## "He's going to break the record. If he doesn't skip and go to Hollywood and become a movie star, which I think he's going to do," said Angle of Roman Reigns. Transcription Via Fightful ## Kurt Angle Teases Possible Return to the Ring Against John Cena Kurt Angle, the Olympic gold medalist and 14-time world champion, has not ruled out a return to the ring despite retiring in 2019. Angle, who turns 54 this year, had double knee replacement surgery in May. He told the Wrassingh Show that he is still not feeling 100%, but he is open to the idea of one more match. ## "I don't have the itch to get back in the ring now," Angle said. "But you never know. You wait a couple years after knee replacement surgery, see how you feel, and if it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, that's okay." ## If Angle does decide to return to the ring, he said he would like his last match to be against John Cena. ## "John, I still think he's possibly still in his prime," Angle said. "I would definitely say John Cena. The reason for that is, I'm 53 years old, I'm not the same athlete I was when I was 33. When I decided to retire, it was because I lost a step and I didn't want the fans to remember me as the person who was in the ring when I returned to WWE. I wanted them to remember me as the person who was in his prime who was literally the best wrestler in the world. Knowing that John is still in his prime, I know he can carry me through a match." ## Angle's retirement match at WrestleMania 35 was against Baron Corbin, and it was not well-received by fans. If Angle does return to the ring, he will be looking for a match that will be more fitting for his legacy. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
