Dhurandhar 2 has entered its eighth week of theatrical run, and the performance on its 51st day shows that the film is still holding its ground quite well for a movie that has been playing for nearly two months.While it is standard for collections to taper off after seven weeks, the activity on Friday suggests that the weekend transition is helping the film stay relevant at the ticket windows. One of the most encouraging signs for the film is the trend in ticket bookings on BookMyShow. On its 8th Friday, the movie saw approximately 12.88K tickets being booked. This is a noticeable improvement compared to the 8th Thursday, where the booking count stood at 10.96K. This increase indicates that the audience is still showing interest in catching the film on the big screen during the weekend, even with several new releases currently in the market. On Day 51, Dhurandhar 2 managed to collect an India net of ₹0.42 crore. When we look at the language breakdown, it is clear that the Hindi version continues to be the primary engine for the film, contributing ₹0.40 crore from 620 shows with an occupancy of 16.0%. The Tamil and Telugu versions are playing on a very limited number of screens now, contributing around ₹0.01 crore each. For a film on its 51st day, maintaining over 600 shows in the Hindi belt is a significant achievement in itself. This total is built on a very strong foundation across all languages. The Hindi version alone has contributed a staggering ₹1,072.79 crore. Even the smaller markets like Kannada and Malayalam have contributed ₹3.83 crore and ₹1.77 crore respectively. These numbers reflect how the film performed like a true pan-India blockbuster during its peak weeks. Looking at the performance in national multiplex chains like PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, the film recorded 2,455 ticket sales across 357 shows on Friday. This resulted in a gross collection of ₹7.78 lakh from these chains. PVR led the way with 1,274 tickets sold and a gross of ₹4.59 lakh, while INOX followed with 960 tickets and a gross of ₹2.58 lakh. Although the overall occupancy in these chains was over 4%, the fact that it is still occupying 270+ venues across the country shows that exhibitors still find value in keeping the film on their schedules. The regional occupancy data provides some very interesting insights. In Chennai, the film saw an impressive overall occupancy of 54.5% for its 5 shows. The night shows in Chennai were particularly busy, hitting 72.0% occupancy, which is remarkable for an eighth-week run. In Hyderabad, the movie maintained a steady 25.8% occupancy across 7 shows, with the afternoon screenings performing the best at 35.0%. The improvement in Friday's bookings suggests a healthy eighth weekend ahead, where we can expect stable numbers or a small growth on Saturday and Sunday. With the total net collection already sitting comfortably at ₹1,141.09 crore, these daily additions are just rounding off a historic performance. The film has already secured its blockbuster status and is now looking at a very professional and steady conclusion at the ticket windows.
