Mumbai, July 25 - Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday has made a thunderous start online, becoming the second most-viewed movie trailer of all time in its first 24 hours. The highly anticipated MCU event film amassed a staggering 503 million views across all platforms within a day of its launch, underscoring the immense global excitement surrounding the film.

While the trailer fell short of the all-time record, it comfortably surpassed several previous benchmarks to secure the number 2 spot. The only movie trailer ahead of Avengers: Doomsday is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which rewrote history earlier this year by collecting an unprecedented 718.6 million views in its first 24 hours.
Before these two Marvel giants, Deadpool & Wolverine held the record with 365 million views, followed by Spider-Man: No Way Home with 355.5 million views. Avengers: Endgame, which once dominated online conversations, now rounds out the top five with 289 million views.

Avengers: Doomsday is one of Marvel Studios' most ambitious projects to date. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film features a massive ensemble cast that brings together the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts, Wakandans, and the X-Men. The cast includes Robert Downey Jr. as the iconic villain Doctor Doom, alongside Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Simu Liu, along with others. The film is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on December 18, 2026.
Interestingly, if trailers from all forms of entertainment are taken into account, Rockstar Games' GTA VI Trailer sits between Avengers: Doomsday and Deadpool & Wolverine with an incredible 475 million views in its first 24 hours. Although it is a video game trailer rather than a film, its launch remains one of the biggest digital entertainment events ever.
