Mumbai, May 10 - National multiplex theatre chain, PVRINOX, has reportedly sued producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films for cancelling the theatrical release date of its romantic comedy drama Bhool Chuk Maaf at the last minute. ## A day before the film's release on May 9, Maddock Films and Amazon Prime issued a statement stating that the theatrical release of Bhool Chuk Maaf was called off aftermath of the ongoing border conflict between India and Pakistan. The studio announced that the movie would now be released directly on Prime Video on May 9. ## According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, PVR Inox has decided to take legal action against the production house for damages of Rs. 60 crores for non-playability of the movie. While Maddock stated the conflict as the reason behind the decision, the theatre alleged that the decision was taken due to poor advance booking. ## "PVR has submitted their case in the Bombay High Court. The matter became serious as all the contracts were signed, and then suddenly Maddock backed off. Hence, this is a case of breach of contract", says the report quoting a source. ## Directed by Karan Sharma, Bhool Chuk Maaf stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles. Los Angeles, May 10 - Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have announced the official first look title of its next Monsterverse film, the sequel to Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024). ## Directed by Grant Sputore, the film has been titled as Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, and it is currently in production. The movie will hit the big screen on March 26, 2027, the studio re-confirmed its previous release date announcement. ## Along with the title announcement, a short teaser was also released, which shows an office for Monarch, the shadowy organisation that tracks the gigantic, city-destroying monsters called Titans, where a computer gives a real-life hotline that fans can call to receive an automated message. Mumbai, May 9 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn-fronted crime drama thriller Raid 2 has topped 100 crores net collection, becoming the 4th Bollywood movie of the year to do so. It achieved the milestone of 100 crores net on its second Friday (9th day). ## Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the sequel is looking to score around 5 crore net today, which will take its total collection to around 101 crore in 9 days. The movie has shown a strong hold with almost zero drop today, which indicates a strong second weekend. ## Raid 2 is the 4th Bollywood film of 2025 after Sikandar (110 crores), Sky Force (113.50+ crores), and Chhaava (600+ crores) to enter the coveted 100 crores net club. It has become the 129th Hindi film and 15th for Ajay Devgn to achieve the feat. ## It is among the very few Bollywood titles of the year to emerge as a box office hit. The lack of competition has been a big advantage for the movie, and it will enjoy a free run for the next few weeks. Mumbai, May 9 - Indian actor and politician Kangana Ranaut is all set to step into the Hollywood cinema as the National Award-winning actress has grabbed the leading role in the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil, reports Variety.## According to the report, Ranaut will star alongside Tyler Posey ("Teen Wolf") and Scarlet Rose Stallone ("Tulsa King") in the film. The production is set to begin this summer in New York, with producers specifically noting they chose U.S. locations to avoid recently announced Trump industry tariffs.## The film will be produced by Anurag Rudra ("New Me", "Tailing Pond") from a screenplay he co-wrote with Gatha Tiwary, president and founder of Lions Movies, which is producing the project. Mumbai, May 8 - Critically acclaimed action thriller film Kill director Nikhil Bhat is reportedly in talks for a Hollywood superhero movie in a groundbreaking development for Indian cinema. ## According to the latest report by Peepingmoon.com, Bhat is in discussions with Universal Studios. It is still unclear if there have been any draft deal papers yet, but the report claims that negotiations have been underway for some time. ## The filmmaker is reportedly represented by the Hollywood talent agency WME (William Morris Endeavor), which is said to be negotiating the deal on his behalf. Kochi, May 8 - Superstar Mohanlal's drama thriller Thudarum is super strong in its second week and is marching towards the 200 crores club at the worldwide box office. In this process, it has become the third-highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. ## Directed by Tharun Moorthy, Thudarum has crossed Tovino Thomas' 2023 survival thriller 2018 Movie (180 crores) as I type this on its 14th day to become the third biggest grosser, behind only Manjummel Boys (241 crores) and Empuraan (266.50+ crores). ## Thudarum had scored approximately 120 crores gross in its first week, while the second week is heading towards around 65 crores with less than 50% drop, which is excellent. It will be entering the 200 crores club the third weekend and will become only the third Malayalam movie ever to do so. ## Produced by Rejaputhra Visual Media, Thudarum has also topped 100 crores gross collection at the domestic box office today, making it the third Malayalam movie after Pulimurugan (100 crores), 2018 (110.50 crores) and Empuraan (123+ crores) to do so. ## The movie is expected to become the biggest Mollywood grosser domestically during the third week and will also look to top 100 crores gross in the home state, Kerala. Mumbai, May 8 - Maddock Films has called off the theatrical release of its comedy drama film Bhool Chuk Maaf in the light of recent events and heightened security drills across the nation. The movie was scheduled to hit the big screen on May 9. ## Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in the leading roles, will now be released directly on Amazon Prime Video on May 16, a week after its proposed theatrical release. The film is directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Maddock Films in association with Amazon MGM Studios.## The studio took to social media platforms to share the update and confirmed the direct-to-digital release of the movie on Prime Video. Mumbai, May 7 - One of the most anticipated films of the year, superstar Akshay Kumar-fronted comedy entertainer Housefull 5 is all set to hit the big screen on June 6. The makers recently launched the first song, Laal Pari, which set the internet on fire, and now, the next promotional content is ready to be released. ## According to the reports, the makers will release a song from Housefull 5 in the next few days, followed by the all-important trailer on May 27. Earlier, the teaser was launched, which increased the hype, and the trailer is expected to take it to the next level. ## The report also states that the first cut of Housefull 5 has been locked, and the approximate length of the film is 2 hours and 40 minutes. This makes it the longest film of the franchise. Mumbai, May 7 — Bollywood filmmakers are shifting to the full franchise mode and lining up more sequels or threequels, which are becoming guaranteed box office winners. Amid several sequels already in the works, the latest reports suggest there are nearly half a dozen more films that are getting a franchise treatment. ## According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 2, Queen 2, and Kahani 3 are already in development, and now, the sequels to Luka Chuppi, Garam Masala, and Brahasmtra have also entered the writing stage. It is to be noted that the demand for all these sequels has been going on for some time now.## Among the aforementioned sequels, Brahmastra Part 2 - Dev was one of the first to be confirmed, and the report says that director Ayan Mukerji has started working on it, though he is currently directing War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, and is on the verge of wrapping it up. ## It is said that Mukerji has got on board a fresh set of writers for Brahmastra 2. Mumbai, May 5 - After the very good opening weekend at the domestic box office with around 71 crores net collection, Ajay Devgn-led crime drama thriller Raid 2 has passed the first real test with flying colours after the very good hold on its first Monday. ## The Rajkumar Gupta's directorial movie is showing a drop of around 60% today from the Thursday opening day, which had a partial holiday, and around a 35% drop from Friday, as early estimates suggest the first Monday collection to be in the range of 7.50-8 crores net. ## The total collection of Raid 2 is around 79 crores net in 5 days, as the first 8-day week could hit the 100 crores mark, which is fantastic.
