All Eyes on Peddi Ram Charan and A. R. Rahman Ignite Massive Buzz Ahead of the First Single

BY CHRISTA LINCY

Ram Charan’s Peddi is fast emerging as one of the most talked-about cinematic spectacles of 2025 — a film that promises both emotional depth and visual majesty. Directed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana, the movie is produced by Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. The film brings together heartfelt performances, stunning visuals, and A. R. Rahman’s evocative music, promising an experience that connects with audiences across languages. Peddi is believed to be a high-octane rural action drama with emotional depth, sports elements, and a strong social core — staying true to Buchi Babu’s storytelling sensibilities. The film’s cinematography is handled by R. Rathnavelu, known for his visual brilliance, while editing duties fall to Navin Nooli.Ram Charan’s rugged transformation, complete with a rustic aesthetic and raw intensity, signals a bold shift from his urban hero image. Shot extensively across scenic locales in India and Sri Lanka, the film carries a distinctive visual signature — blending earthy tones, grandeur, and cultural authenticity. With A. R. Sunny Deol's Blockbuster Line-Up: All The Upcoming Films of Gadar 2 Megastar

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Mumbai, October 29 - One of the biggest stars of the 90s, Sunny Deol, broke the shackles and delivered one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema with period action drama Gadar 2 in 2023. The actor followed this mega success with director Gopichand Mallineni's Jaat earlier this year and turned out to be a decent success. The veteran star, who redefined the patriotic and action-hero image for an entire generation, hasn't looked back since Gadar 2 and now has a packed and promising lineup ahead. His upcoming projects span across genres — from emotional dramas and patriotic sagas to massive epic and actioner spectacles — marking one of the busiest phases of his career in decades. 1. Border 2 Release Date: 22 January 2026 The much-awaited sequel to the 1997 war classic Border is finally on the way. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is Sunny Deol's immediate release and will see him reprise his iconic character in a new story of bravery and sacrifice. Joining him are Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, adding youthful energy to the ensemble. The film aims to recreate the patriotic fervour of the original with modern scale and storytelling. 2. Gabru Release Date: 13 March 2026 Touted as the most emotional role yet for Sunny, Gabru is an emotional drama directed by Shashank Udapurkar. The film, described as a story of courage, conscience, and compassion, will reportedly showcase Sunny in a deeply human and emotionally charged role — something different from his usual high-octane characters. The actor unveiled the first look on his 68th birthday, promising a moving tale that connects with the heartland audience. 3. Ramayana - Part 1 Release Date: Diwali 2026 Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is a mega-scale epic saga, in which Sunny Deol plays the role of Lord Hanuman. The project, one of India's most ambitious cinematic ventures, features a massive ensemble, including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, and Yash as demon king Raavan. It's a refreshing departure for Sunny, who will step into an epic world far removed from his usual patriotic dramas. 4. Lahore, 1947 Release Date - 2026 (TBA) Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Lahore, 1947 is a period drama set against the backdrop of the partition of India in 1947. It is based on Prof. Asghar Wajahat's drama – Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai. The film is expected to delve into themes of sacrifice, resilience, and national pride — perfectly aligned with the kind of cinema Sunny Deol has always championed. 5. Baap Release Date - 2026 (expected) A nostalgic action ensemble, Baap pairs Sunny with other '80s–'90s action icons - Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, and Jackie Shroff, for a throwback spectacle. Directed by Vivek Singh Chauhan, Baap is expected to emphasise old-school heroics, punchy dialogues and crowd-driven moments. 6. Soorya Release Date - 2026 (expected) Soorya is said to be the adaptation of the acclaimed Malayalam film Joseph, with Sunny reportedly in the lead as a gritty, world-weary cop. This project places Sunny in a lean, procedural role — different from his traditional action fare and aimed at showcasing acting depth. 7. Ramayana - Part 2 Release Date - Diwali 2027 The second part of the epic, in which Sunny Deol has the full-length role, will be hitting worldwide cinemas in 2027. The movie will be released in multiple Indian and international languages, using a special technology. 8. Coal King Release Date - TBA Director Anil Sharma has reportedly pitched a larger-than-life action drama set against the coal mafia and its brutal underworld to Sunny Deol, who is said to have liked it. There is not much information available about the project yet, but reports say it will be the duo's next project after Gadar 2. 9. Gadar 3 Release Date - TBA Talks are ongoing for Gadar 3, reuniting Sunny with director Anil Sharma to continue the Gadar saga. The first two films captured massive patriotic fervour and emotional catharsis; a third instalment would look to extend that narrative, leaning on the franchise's scale and the audience's attachment to the central characters. 10. Jaat 2 Release Date - TBA Following the success of Jaat, the sequel is reportedly in the works, with Rajkumar Santoshi in talks to replace Malliani to direct it. With creative teams assembling and scripts being refined, Jaat 2 is positioned to continue Sunny's recent run of earthy action dramas. Sunny Deol's upcoming lineup is intentionally diverse. Gabru and Soorya push him toward performance-driven drama; Coal King, Border 2 and Gadar 3 promise mass spectacle and nationalist themes; Ramayana offers epic scale, while Jaat 2 and Baap blend nostalgia with crowd entertainment. Together, these projects map out a carefully balanced second act. Stay tuned...

Aaryans Remarkable Journey From Unexpected Delays to the Grand Vision of a Pan Indian Dream

BY CHRISTA LINCY

Vishnu Vishal is back in uniform, and this time, the stakes are higher than ever. Aaryan, directed by first-time filmmaker Praveen K and produced under Vishnu Vishal Studioz, is a gripping investigative thriller that pits a determined cop against a cold-blooded mastermind. The film, which also stars Selvaraghavan, Shraddha Srinath, and Maanasa Choudhary, blends intense police drama with personal emotion, marking one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of the season. The movie follows an intriguing premise — a serial killer who publicly announces the victim’s name exactly one hour before committing the crime. The trailer sets up a nerve-wracking cat-and-mouse chase, promising a tightly woven crime drama with emotional undertones. Aaryan also stands apart for its scale and meticulous execution, with Ghibran’s music and Harish Kannan’s cinematography giving the narrative a gritty visual texture. Interestingly, Vishnu Vishal named the film Aaryan after his son — a choice that brings personal depth to the project. The actor has described the film as one of his most emotionally connected works, balancing commercial thrills with heartfelt storytelling. “It’s not just another thriller,” he said in a recent interview. “It’s about the choices we make when duty collides with humanity.” While the Tamil version of Aaryan is all set to hit theatres on October 31, 2025, the Telugu version has been postponed to November 7. The one-week delay was a strategic move to avoid clashing with major releases such as Baahubali: The Epic and Mass Jathara. Vishnu Vishal addressed Telugu fans directly, assuring them that the wait would be worth it and expressing respect for the other releases sharing the festive weekend. The decision highlights the team’s thoughtful release planning — ensuring that the film gets undivided attention across markets without losing momentum. Adding another layer of curiosity to the film’s journey, Vishnu Vishal revealed that early conversations had taken place about developing a Hindi adaptation of Aaryan — with none other than Aamir Khan being considered for the antagonist’s role. Although those talks did not progress further, the very thought of such a collaboration underscores the story’s universal appeal and the filmmakers’ ambition to take it beyond linguistic boundaries. It’s a testament to Aaryan’s strong narrative foundation — one compelling enough to catch the attention of Bollywood’s finest minds. Aaryan was shot extensively across Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi, with long night sequences and elaborate action choreography. Vishnu Vishal hinted that certain elements of the film draw inspiration from the Malayalam hit Kannur Squad, particularly its procedural authenticity and emotional depth. However, Aaryan retains a unique flavor — balancing realism with cinematic tension. During promotions, Vishnu appealed to audiences not to reveal major twists post-release, underscoring his confidence in the film’s layered screenplay. The actor also acknowledged the inevitable comparisons with Ratsasan but clarified that Aaryan follows a completely different emotional graph. Having received a U/A certificate, Aaryan is expected to offer a balance of gripping thrills and mass entertainment. The teaser, launched in late September, was widely praised for its haunting tone and suspenseful buildup. Social media conversations around the film’s trailer highlight excitement over Selvaraghavan’s menacing turn as the antagonist — marking his return to a complex character space. With a strong cast, sleek technical execution, and a high-concept narrative, Aaryan has shaped up as one of the season’s most intriguing releases. For Vishnu Vishal, it marks not just another thriller but a statement of creative intent — a fusion of emotional storytelling, technical polish, and star-driven intensity. As the countdown begins for its Tamil release and Telugu debut a week later, Aaryan stands poised to reaffirm Vishnu Vishal’s reputation as one of Tamil cinema’s most ambitious contemporary actors — one unafraid to chase stories that challenge both the screen and the soul.

O Kadhale Out Now Dhanush and A R Rahman Reignite Magic Ahead of Tere Ishk Mein Release

BY CHRISTA LINCY

The much-awaited Tamil version of Tere Ishk Mein’s title track, titled O Kadhale, has finally dropped — and it’s already setting the internet abuzz. Composed by the musical legend A. R. Rahman, the song captures the same haunting emotional depth that defined its Hindi counterpart, but with a distinctly Tamil soul. Sung by Adithya RK with heartfelt lyrics by Mashook Rahman, the track beautifully bridges melody and melancholy, making it an instant favorite among Rahman loyalists and Tamil audiences alike. The Hindi version of Tere Ishk Mein’s title track stormed past 50 million YouTube views in just three days, cementing the song’s appeal even before the film’s release. Now, O Kadhale continues that momentum — blending poetic Tamil phrasing with Rahman’s lush orchestration to create a symphonic experience that transcends language barriers. Directed by Aanand L. Rai, Tere Ishk Mein marks Dhanush’s third Hindi venture after the much-loved Raanjhanaa (2013) and the emotionally charged Atrangi Re (2021). The film reunites the actor-director duo after more than a decade, once again exploring the fragile intersections of love, destiny, and human vulnerability — themes that have consistently defined their collaborations. Starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in lead roles, the film is slated for release on November 28, 2025, and is already being billed as one of the year’s most anticipated love sagas. The Tamil track’s release further underlines Dhanush’s growing pan-Indian appeal — an artist effortlessly balancing his Tamil roots with his evolving presence in Hindi cinema. The Tamil rendition’s release is also part of a calculated promotional wave. With teasers already hinting at an intense love story torn by betrayal and fate, O Kadhale serves as the emotional backbone of the film’s marketing — a sonic window into its central conflict. With O Kadhale now out and resonating deeply among listeners, the stage is set for Tere Ishk Mein to claim its space as one of the most anticipated films of 2025. For Dhanush, the project isn’t just another crossover attempt — it’s a reaffirmation of his unique ability to inhabit worlds, languages, and hearts with equal grace. And if O Kadhale is any indication, this journey of love and longing will be remembered long after the final note fades.

The film has received widespread admiration from both the film fraternity and political leaders alike. Superstar Rajinikanth personally called Mari Selvaraj to convey his appreciation, saying, “Super, Mari! I watched Bison. The effort and personality you bring to every film amaze me. Stalin also lauded the film, calling it “another gem in Mari Selvaraj’s crown,” and praising how it merges the thrill of sport with a message of equality and empowerment. Their words have further elevated the film’s stature, positioning Bison as not just a box office success, but a cultural statement that reflects the spirit of contemporary Tamil cinema. November Belongs to Vijay Jana Nayagans First Single to Launch a Musical Wave Ahead of the Actors Next Big Screen Spectacl

BY CHRISTA LINCY

The highly anticipated musical marketing campaign for Jana Nayagan — the star-driven political action drama headlined by Thalapathy Vijay — is officially underway: reports confirm that the film’s first single will drop in the first week of November 2025, marking the beginning of a layered promotional rollout leading to its theatrical arrival early next year.Fans have been buzzing ever since the announcement poster hinted at a politically charged action-drama that blends mass appeal with emotional intensity. With Anirudh Ravichander once again composing for Vijay, and the actor expected to lend vocals to at least one track, the music is poised to be both a mass-appeal dance earworm and a strategic promotional tool. From the electrifying “First Roar” glimpse already trending on YouTube to the behind-the-scenes studio stills circulating across social media, the makers are skillfully tapping into Vijay and Anirudh’s proven on-screen and musical chemistry to amplify excitement among fans and streaming audiences. A lead single for a Vijay–Anirudh collaboration is more than a song — it’s a cultural moment. Their previous tracks have had outsized impact on promotions, social trends, and even box office awareness; this single is likely to be the centerpiece of Jana Nayagan’s marketing and may set the tone for the film’s public narrative as Vijay prepares for a major theatrical event in January. The single isn’t just about the launch of a song — it serves as the anchor point for the film’s marketing arc, bridging the gap between early promotional teasers and the full-fledged audio-video release phase.Fans have been sharing hashtag #JanaNayagan across X, Instagram and Telegram groups, dissecting every micro-clip and rallying for what is likely to become a viral dance routine. From early trade updates to the producers’ official handles, the rollout strategy is clear: deliver the song, trend on streaming services, reel in virality on social media, and drive ticket pre-orders for what promises to be a major Vijay box-office event. With Vijay’s previous outings setting benchmarks for both music and box office collections, this next phase is not just about entertainment — it’s about reclaiming territory. Chennai, October 28 - Indian cinema legend Rajinikanth continues to be busy doing films at the age of 75 despite his age and health concerns. The superstar is currently shooting for director Nelson Dilipkumar's highly anticipated Jailer 2, which is scheduled to release next year. Rajinikanth has been doing films non-stop and travelling regularly for them. According to the latest reports in Tamil media, the legendary actor is planning to retire from cinema after a multistarrer film with another legend, Kamal Haasan. The big project with Kamal Haasan has already been confirmed by the duo themselves, but who will direct it is still not confirmed. Reports say that Nelson Dilipkumar has been assigned this mega duty to handle both legends, and the director has reportedly agreed to the same. It is said that Nelson is planning to take the film in 2027 as he needs more time for the script. The project will be produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. As per Valaipechu, it will be Thalaivaar's final film before he bids goodbye to his glorious cinema career. Before the multistarrer, Rajinikant will reportedly do one more film with RKFI, and it will be directed by Sundar C. The announcement for the same is expected to be made in a couple of weeks. The superstar also has a film with Bollywood producer Sajid Nadiadwala, for which the timeline is not fixed. As things stand today, Rajinikanth has at least 4 films in the pipeline, including Jailer 2, which is his immediate next. He reportedly wants his film with Kamal Haasan to be his swansong, marking a fitting farewell to his memorable career. Stay tuned...

Rishab Shetty's Kantara Chapter 1 Crosses 3 Crore Admissions To Become Most Watched Film of 2025 In India; Tops 1 Crore Footfalls In Hindi

Bengaluru, October 28 - Amid the disappointing news of early OTT release, Risabh Shetty's Kantara Chapter 1 continues to draw big crowds in theatres. In a massive milestone, it has become the highest-grossing Indian film of the year, beating the Bollywood blockbuster Chhaava. Produced by Hombale Films, Kantara Chapter 1 has been one of its kind phenomena for Kannada cinema. The film's box office juggernaut has made it the most-watched Indian title of 2025 in theatres. In 26 days so far, the film has sold approximately 3.20 crores tickets in India across all languages, beating Chahava's 3.10+ crores admissions to become the number 1 movie of 2025. Kantara Chapter 1 is the second movie of 2025 and the ninth film in the post-pandemic era to top 3 crores (30 million) footfalls at the Indian box office. Yash-fronted KGF Chapter 2 remains the biggest blockbuster with over 5 crores admissions, and it, along with Kantara 2, is the only Kannada film of all time to reach 3 crores admissions. The prequel to 2022's blockbuster has also topped 1 crore (10 million) footfalls in the dubbed Hindi version, becoming the first South Indian film of 2025 to do so. The original Kannada version is the number 2 with around 80 lakh admissions, while Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil versions have sold over 1.30 crores tickets so far. Meanwhile, the film has grossed approximately 817 crores worldwide, including around 707 crores in India and 110 crores overseas, after 26 days. It was well on course to finish with 875+ crores worldwide, but the target now looks difficult after makers confirmed its digital release from October 31 in South Indian versions. Stay tuned...
