Hyderabad, August 20 - Telugu mystical action-adventure film, Karthikeya 2 is on a dream run at the box office. The movie, starring Nikhil Siddharth in the title role, had a limited release but went on to outshine other new releases to become a massive blockbuster within a week. ## "Karthikeya 2" was released on Saturday (August 13) and opened to super positive reviews and word of mouth. It scored 5.04 crores net on the first day and went on to finish the first full week (7 days) with approx. 36 crores net, including both Telugu and Hindi languages.## The movie was valued at approx. 13 crores worldwide and it has already scored over 28 crores Share the collection, including 18.7 crores share in Telugu states (AP/TG). It became the highest-grossing film for actor Nikhil in just 4 days and there is not stopping it at the moment. ## Meanwhile, the dubbed Hindi version of the movie is showing no sign of taking a back seat. The Hindi version opened with just 7 lakh on the first day but thanks to positive word of mouth, it grew exponentially throughout the first week and never dropped at once in the first 7 days. It closed the full opening week scoring 2.46 crores net. The total Hindi net collection is 8.21 crores.## The growth of film in the Hindi language can be understood by the number of shows it added over the week. It was released on just 55 shows by the 7th day, it had over 3000 shows and is increasing rapidly with each passing hour. In addition to under its further growth, K2 outscored outright Bollywood biggies, "Laal Singh Chaddha" and "Raksha Bandhan's" combined total yesterday (August 19). ## The worldwide gross total of "Karthikeya 2" is approx. 50 crores, including 7 crores at the overseas box office. Hyderabad, August 16 - One of the biggest Telugu film producers, Dil Raju has turned down many rumors surrounding him over the recent events by attending the success meet Karthikeya 2. ## It was reported that Dil Raju was stopping the release of Nikhil Siddhartha-starrer and wanted his own film to get a maximum number of screens in Telugu states. ## Not only filmmaker put a full stop to baseless reports, but he also slammed the media reports and people for maligning his image. Hyderabad, August 16 - Actor Nikhil Siddharth's Karthikeya 2 has achieved the break-even target in just 3 days and becomes Tollywood's third straight hit. With a worldwide share collection of around 15 crores, the mythological mystery thriller has joined the likes of "Sita Ramam" and "Bimbisara" in delivering big at the box office for Telugu movies in the last two weeks. ## Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, "Karthikeya 2" has had trouble getting a wide release, which could have helped it to register bigger numbers at the box office. The film was supposed to release last month but was forced to postpone as the makers were not being able to book enough theaters due to other releases. ## Despite the limited release, the movie has been able to leave a lasting impact on the audiences which is resulting in houseful boards outside theaters. Mumbai, August 14 - Director Chandoo Mondeti's supernatural thriller film Karthikeya 2 has become a rage despite getting a limited release across Telugu states. The movie is also making its presence felt in the dubbed Hindi version.## The movie starring Nikhil Siddharth, Anupama Parameswaran, and Anupam Kher has had just 54 shows on the first day in Hindi but most of them got filled after the super positive word of mouth. Because of the huge demand, more shows and screens got added for the second day. The movie has more than 180 shows in Hindi on Sunday (2nd day). ## "Karthikeya 2" is getting the same response as Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise" in the Hindi version as far as shows allotment is concerned. "Pushpa" too started on a slow note but after getting positive WOM, more shows were added to the movie which helped it to get excellent results at the box office. ## For "Karthikeya 2", there are already 600+ shows for tomorrow (August 15), and more and more shows are being added with each passing hour. There is a possibility that shows for tomorrow may increase to 1000 shows as the momentum has really shifted towards the film. ## The box office collection of the movie in Hindi was 9 lakh gross on the first day, which is a low number by the look but high considering the release size.
