The whole Royal Rumble storyline circles around the Men's and Women's Royal Rumble matches. ## Both the men's and women's matches generally feature 30 wrestlers. Traditionally, the winner of the match earns a world championship match at that year's WrestleMania. ## In addition to the Women's and Men's Royal Rumble matches, the event also features a prominent match between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. Plush, It will be the first-ever Pitch Black match between LA Knight and Bray Wyatt. ## Elsewhere, WWE Raw Women's Championship will be on the line as the champion Bianca Belair defends against the challenger Alexa Bliss. Kevin Owens ## Kevin Owens will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at the 20223 Royal Rumble PPV. The challenge was laid down during the January 6th 2023 edition of SmackDown, when The Bloodline kicked off the show with a promo.
