Kochi, March 15 - Superstar Mohanlal's much-awaited Empuraan is hot in the market ahead of its worldwide release on March 27. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the action drama has been in the news lately for various reasons but all have been fixed now for a smooth release.## Empuraan is easily the biggest Malayalam film with huge hype around it, and considering that, the makers are treating the film in that way. On Sunday, it was announced that the first show of the film would start at 6 AM IST, becoming one of the rare Malayalam films to have an early morning start.## Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, Empuraan is nearly 3 hours long so the early start will give it 5-6 shows on the first day and that should be enough for it to emerge as the biggest Malayalam opener. The movie also has the potential to work wonders in other versions if the makers manage to create hype at the last moment which needs to be seen. ## Empuraan is the second instalment in a planned trilogy and is a follow-up to the 2019 film Lucifer. Kochi, March 15 - After weeks of suspense and uncertainty, one of the biggest Malayalam films, superstar Mohanlal-fronted action thriller Empuraan is set to storm the big screen on March 27, as originally scheduled in multiple languages.## As reported earlier, there was uncertainty over the release date of the film due to the internal tussle between Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions. It was reported that Aashirvad wanted the other studio to exit the film on its terms but Lyca disagreed for the same. ## Now, as per the latest development, Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies has stepped in to solve the issue and it is said that the studio has replaced Lyca as it has paid the required amount to get all the rights from the Tamil production house. ## Meanwhile, the upcoming posters of Empuraan will still reportedly feature Lyca. The official announcement with new changes is expected to be dropped by today evening. Mumbai, March 14 - Legendary Amitabh Bachchan impressed one and all with his performance in director Nag Ashwin's epic Kalki 2898 AD which was released last year. The Bollywood veteran played the role of an immortal warrior Ashwatthama and his character will have a bigger impact in Kalki 2. ## There have been many reports regarding the shooting timeline of the Kalki 2898 AD sequel and according to the latest report by Mid-Day, Big B is set to start filming for the movie in May this year. It will have a month-long schedule and he will rejoin the filming with other actors later.## Kalki 2 will mainly focus on the conflict between Prabhas' Bhairava, Big B's Ashwatthama and Kamal Haasan's supreme Yaskin. Per the report, Bachchan's screen time has been increased in the sequel.## Big B will reportedly start preparation for his role by the end of this month (March). "The sequel will take forward his and Bhairava/Karna's (Prabhas) story, and their role in rescuing Sumathi's (Deepika Padukone) unborn child. It will be grander than the last one, as Prabhas and Bachchan also confront the evil Supreme Commander, Yaskin (Kamal Haasan). Chennai, March 14 - Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most in-demand Indian filmmakers because of his ability to connect with the masses through his films. His filmography, though it is just 6 films old, is full of blockbusters, and the future line-up promises to take things a notch higher.## Lokesh Kanagaraj has confirmed 2 films in the pipeline, including the currently on-floors Coolie starring superstar Rajinikanth. The second one is Karthi-fronted Kaithi 2 which is a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). However, Lokesh might direct another film before this blockbuster sequel. ## It is known to all that superstar Aamir Khan is playing a cameo role in Lokesh's Coolie and it was also reported earlier that the duo would team up for a full-fledged film. Now, as per the rumours in the media, Kaithi 2, which was supposed to be Loki's immediate next after Coolie, is set to be delayed. ## The rumours say that Lokesh might direct Aamir Khan after Rajinikanth-starrer as has been reported earlier. The movie is currently the production and is scheduled to hit the big screens later this year. ## The cameo role of Aamir Khan in Coolie has been confirmed by multiple sources though the makers never made it official. On the actor's 60th birthday today, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is also celebrating his 39th birthday today, shared a fresh picture of him with the actor wishing him his birthday. ## While the filmmaker didn't directly confirm Aamir's presence, he has given enough hints in his post to make things official. Hyderabad, March 14 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire is all set to re-release on the big screen on March 21. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, was originally released in December 2023 and emerged as a box office hit with over 600 crores gross collection worldwide.## Salaar has been trending on Disney Plus Hotstar for more than a year now as the movie is slowly becoming popular nationwide. Cashing on this opportunity, the makers decided to re-release it across the country and the decision is proving right as it's off to a strong start in the pre-sales. ## Eight days ahead of the re-release, the bookings for the film opened and on its first day, it sold over 25K tickets on the first day. The trend continues to be strong on the second day and so far, it has sold nearly 50K total tickets which is excellent. ## If the trend remains strong, then Salaar can emerge as the biggest re-release grosser at the Indian box office and this looks certain as it has reached more people due to OTT and there is unanimous acknowledgement for its big screen experience. ## The box office result of Salaar re-release might also dictate the term for its sequel which is scheduled to start rolling later this year. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, March 13 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will be celebrating his 60th birthday on March 14 and on the evening of it, he addressed the media at his residence and shared updates regarding his future projects, including the next release Sitaare Zameen Par.## When asked about the film, Aamir confirmed that this R. S. Prasanna's directorial is the sequel to his 2007 drama, Taare Zameen Par and the official release date of it will be announced tomorrow, i.e. on his birthday. It is produced by produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions.## Meanwhile, according to the report by Pinkvilla, SZP's final edit is on the verge of being locked and it will hit the big screens in June 2025. Aamir Khan has been passionately working on this slice-of-life sports comedy-drama and is confident that it will win over audiences and work big at the box office.## The makers are also working on the teaser and trailer and they will start promotion during the IPL 2025 season.
