The Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns won't be competing in a singles match at WrestleMania Backlash 2022. ## Instead, Roman Reigns is up in a six-man tag team match at WrestleMania Backlash. Many fans were hoping that Tribal Chief would defend his Universal Title against Drew McIntyre, but he is saving that match. ## Still, other fans were hoping that WWE would pay for the tease that Shinsuke Nakamura dropped weeks ago. Many believed that a match between the two top stars would go down as one of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history. Despite all the hype, the match is unlikely to happen anytime soon, if at all. ## During a recent WWE Live event at the O2 Arena in London on April 29, Roman Reigns defended his title against Drew McIntyre. Reigns would win the match in the end. ## As you can see below in the clip, After the match was over, Roman Reigns thanked the fans for participating in the show. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre will get a match at WrestleMania Backlash. ## It was previously reported that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns would close the show but didn't know, this would be the way to end the night. ## On April 29, 2022(tapped on April 22), WWE held a contract signing segment between RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos. WWE official Adam Pearce moderated the segment. ## Before they signed the contract, a brawl broke out between the tag team champions from the two brands, leading Roman Reigns to appear and layout the RAW Tag Team Champions. Seeming the offense, Drew McIntyre would add the aid. Randy Orton has his eyes set on defeating Roman Reigns in WWE and breaking records along the way. ## The 14-time world champion - who will celebrate his 20th anniversary in WWE on RAW tomorrow night, spoke about his legacy in an article published on the UK Metro. ## Reigns — the current undisputed WWE Universal Champion — made his WWE debut in November 2012, and while the 36-year-old will mark a decade at the company later this year, Orton thinks he will put his own legacy after Roman has left for Hollywood. ## A lot of people ask me what my legacy’ll be. I think, if you’re talking WWE more specifically, my legacy will be that I was the next guy – after The Undertaker – that was the only person that never went anywhere else, and had more matches, more titles, more accolades,’ he told WWE. ## ‘I don’t care if Roman Reigns… I’m sure he’s got Dwayne Johnson’s agent’s number on speed dial.
