An interesting update has emerged on Roman Reigns, revealing more on his appearnce on last night's (Decemeber 19) WWE Raw. ## The December 19th edition of WWE RAW, kicked off with a shot of Paul Heyman holding the WWE Universal Championship belts. Heyman introduced himself before the camera panned out to reveal Roman Reigns was there, too. ## Reigns called Raw the home of Kevin Owens who was trying to tear down his island. Not only that, but Owens went and got himself John Cena. Reigns warned that Owens would need more than that. He’d need the entire Raw locker room. Reigns was going to return the favour and show Owens what he had at his disposal, then everyone would acknowledge the Bloodline. ## According to Fightful Select, Roman Reigns was not physically at WWE Raw. There has been a little update on the biggest moment that WWE may have planned for the showcase event. ## As we have seen, The Rock Vs. Roman Reigns has been the hoped-for main event for this show in Los Angeles for a couple of years. ## Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave an update on The Rock Vs. Roman Reigns, stated that Dwayne's life is a lot more than just pro-wrestling even though, still, there are major affirmations that WWE will be able to get The Rock in. ## Dave Meltzer noted the following: ## “The main event for WrestleMania, in a perfect world, is Roman Reigns vs The Rock. ## “It’s been the hoped-for main event for this show in Los Angeles for a couple of years. ## “Now we’re here. ## “Is it going to happen that way? I would not argue that Roman has given a lot of time to be called the best wrestler in WWE right now. While WWE is in the process to plan something big with Bray Wyatt's storyline. ## Roman Reigns has ruled over WWE as the Undisputed Universal Champion. Given that he has faced every single top star in WWE which apprently increased his credibility to be the face of the company. ## While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Bray Wyatt’s potential feuds in the future, including with Roman Reigns. Meltzer made it clear that Reigns might not even want to work with The Eater Of Worlds. ## Everybody who works with Bray Wyatt, very few of them come out looking better Do they go with him and Roman? I could see Roman wanting nothing to do with this guy. If it’s not being built for Roman, then he’s got a limit to how far he can go, if Roman doesn’t agree to work with him. The Road to WrestleMania is starting very soon, but no matches have been made so far. ## Two of the biggest names in the wrestling industry – The Rock and Roman Reigns were expected to cross paths once and for all at WrestleMania 39 next year. However, The reports are coming with a note that WWE creative is currently pitching alternatives for Roman Reigns' match at the show of shows. ## According to Ringside News, WWE creative is “pitching alternatives” for Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania match no contract for that match has been made official yet, and any report saying The Rock is 100% locked in is “irresponsible.” ## Obviously, Roman Reigns' opponent for the WrestleMania match is going to be a massive one, but nothing is in stone yet. A massive tag team match is set for the last SmackDown of the year. ## During the December 16th edition of SmackDown, The Bloodline entered the ring to a massive reaction. The fans broke into a loud "Ucey" chant. Reigns demanded Chicago acknowledge him to another big reaction. ## The big news coming out of the segment was an appearance from John Cena. There was another potential huge Young Rock hint at the WWE WrestleMania match between Roman Reigns and The Rock. ## For months, WWE has been planting seeds for indeed what you would like to call a recording-breaking match in the history of WWE. The December 2 edition of NBC’s “Young Rock” featured another tease that The Rock may return to the ring at WrestleMania 39. Sami Zayn has emerged as one of the top names in WWE. His current run as the ‘Honorary Uce’ of The Bloodline faction has worked incredibly. ## Sami officially joined "The Bloodline On the September 23 edition of SmackDown, where Reigns declared Sami an official honorary uce and gave him a new shirt. At Survivor Series WarGames on November 26, Zayn along with the Bloodline, defeated the team of The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland and Butch), Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens in a WarGames match. ## Sami recently spoke with Peter Rosenberg and revealed on how the story with Roman Reigns actually began. ## “I won’t pull the curtain back too much, but the idea was kicked around about a year ago, a good six months before the seeds were even planted on screen. The first time I think there was any interaction between myself and the Bloodline was just after WrestleMania. In actuality, the idea was first discussed going into Survivor Series of last year. ## I was doing this whole thing on SmackDown where I was the longest-tenured member as the locker room leader. I thought it’d be something interesting with the locker room leader and Head of the Table. The premise being, the Head of the Table isn’t in the locker room anymore. I wasn’t originally envisioning being a full member of the Bloodline or anything like that, just something to where Roman and I can occasionally get on screen together in a light-hearted way, and I’m giving him these reports of what’s going on and what he needs to be careful for. Every once in a while, I get things kicked my way too. That was sort of the idea.” ## When asked if this was something he had pushed for. ## “It was talked about with Roman as well. We were sitting at catering one day, and I heard an interview that he did with Ariel Helwani where he was very kind towards me and saying nice things about me as an on-screen character and that he’d like to do something down the road with me one day. Despite winning WWE's first main roster WarGames match, Roman Reigns wasn't too pleased upon returning backstage after the match. First reported by Fightful Select, Roman Reigns was visibly upset after the Survivor Series main event, specifically about a spot within the match. It was rumored that Reigns took exception to what he perceived as an unplanned spot between he and Kevin Owens. ## As he walked backstage, he mentioned possibly having a ruptured ear drum, and wanted the spot to go as originally planned. The exclamation was said to have been "expletive filled" and it was clear to everyone that Reigns wasn't happy. ## Earlier this week, Dave Meltzer confirmed the hard-hitting slap and that it had left noticeable bruising on the Tribal Chief. There was talk of a possible broken eardrum, although, this wasn't confirmed, came from a slap by Owens, Reigns was upset, but 20 minutes later it had all blown over so there is no lingering issue regarding it. ## Now, on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Metzer wrote the following: ## “Reigns was furious and backstage after went off on Owens, with swearing and such. According to numerous sources, Reigns was mad both because of the injury but also because it wasn’t a spot he had known about and felt it didn’t make sense to do it in the match. “Some said it happened, Reigns was obviously furious, but it largely blew over by 20 minutes later. Others said that wasn’t accurate in the sense it wasn’t completely blown over, that Reigns was upset, but it’s not like they are changing any plans in booking or he won’t work with Owens or there will be any punishment or anything like that.” ## “It fell into the category of s**t that happens but the idea was that after Zayn got over doing what was not supposed to be a long-term gimmick, that Reigns pretty much picked Owens and Zayn personally to work a long program with and the idea is he could have picked any two people on the roster to elevate and those were the ones he picked. ## “Zayn got that spot because of how well the crowd took to him in the short-term program and Owens made sense with their history and because he can talk and is a great performer. Austin Theory is no longer guaranteed to take a shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship as he lost the Money In The Bank briefcase. ## Theory tried to cash in his briefcase on Roman Reigns several times, but was thwarted on each attempt. Eventually, Theory cashed in on Seth Rollins and the WWE United States Championship, but was unsuccessful during his cash-in. After losing the briefcase, Theory took a more serious turn and won the US Title at WWE Survivor Series. ## Speaking to City News, Theory discussed his character change. ## "The cocky, arrogant, douchy persona just really gets under people's skin and it did its purpose.
