The movie hits $155 million in North America in just 5 days, heading for $175+ million first week collection. ## Superman To Remain Number 1 Movie In The Second Weekend With $55+ Million ## According to Variety, James Gunn's directorial will score big again, aiming to collect $55 million to $62 million in the second weekend with a standard 50% to 55% domestically. The movie is set against the backdrop of the Galwan Valley clash in 2020 between Indian and Chinese troops. ## The makers recently announced the film with the first look poster, which was appreciated by all, and piqued the curiosity for the movie. Mumbai, July 15 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's big screen adaptation of Ramayana is officially the costliest Indian film by a long margin, after producer Namit Malhotra revealed that the budget for this 2-part epic will be in the range of Rs. 4000 crores. ## In a recent podcast, Malhotra said that they have been working on this mega project for the past 6-7 years and by the time they are done with both parts, the budget will be around $500 million, which equals roughly Rs. 4000 crores. ## "We are making the largest film in the world for the greatest story and greatest epic that the world should see. I think it's still cheaper than some of the Hollywood films' budgets. I think we are making a bigger film at a lower cost. Hyderabad, October 7 - In one of its kind experiments, director SS Rajamouli's epic duology, "Baahubali - The Beginning" and "Baahubali - The Conclusion", are set to re-release in a single epic cut on October 31st this year, under the title as Baahubali - The Epic. The official announcement of the film was made earlier in the year on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Baahubali - The Beginning. Since the makers are bringing both films in one cut version, there have been talks about the film's theatrical runtime, as the combined runtime of both films is close to 6 hours. As per the latest update, the film has been censored with a U/A certificate with an approved runtime of 3 hours and 45 minutes. Recently, producer Shobu Yarlagadda confirmed during an interview that the final runtime of the movie would be around 3 hours and 40 minutes. It will be the longest Indian film ever in the modern era. The filmmaker also revealed that the first half of Baahubali - The Epic will consist of Baahubali (2015) portions, while the second half will feature scenes from Baahubali - The Conclusion (2017). The makers are treating it as a new film and leaving no stone unturned to promote it. They have also planned to promote the film in the USA via online media. Mumbai, July 15 - Director Priyadarshan has broken the ice and officially announced his next film, titled Haiwaan, featuring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. The news about the movie was already out in the media, and without delaying it further, the filmmaker confirmed the same on social media. ## Taking to Instagram, Priyadarshan shared a picture of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan with a simple caption - "Haiwaan, my next film with Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan at Lords". The image was taken while the actor duo was watching the India vs England Lord's Test match. ## The shoot of Haiwaan is expected to commence in August this year, and the film will hit the big screen in 2026. While he has directed only 7 films so far (all Tamil), the maverick filmmaker is spreading his wings and will be making his Bollywood debut with none other than superstar Aamir Khan. ## The collaboration between Aamir and Lokesh has been making waves in the media, and it was Aamir who first officially confirmed the project in a recent media interaction. And now, director Lokesh has also confirmed that he is indeed teaming up with the Bollywood superstar next year. ## Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj Team Up For A Superhero Movie ## The project in question is in the superhero genre. Hyping the film further, director Lokesh said in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India that it is a very good script. He further said that with this film, they are aiming to reach out to the global audience, and not just the Indian audience. ## "It is a Hindi film, but made for a global audience. Aamir sir and I have spoken about it a lot over the last few months, especially when he was on the sets of Coolie. In fact, I found a lot of similarities between him and Kamal Sir. I love the way he approaches a subject. I know fundamentally his films are very different from mine, but our collaboration will bring about a new genre", said the director. ## Production Timeline ## There is no fixed or official timeline set for the production of the movie. However, according to Aamir, his movie with the Leo director is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2026, around September or October, for a 2027 release. As confirmed by Lokesh to THR India, it will be a Hindi film that will also be released in other languages. ## What is Next For Lokesh Kanagaraj and Aamir Khan? ## Lokesh has wrapped up superstar Rajinikanth's gangster action drama, Coolie, which is scheduled to hit the big screen on August 14 this year. This film features Aamir Khan in a cameo role. After Coolie, Lokesh will start Karthi's Kaithi 2, which is a part of his cinematic universe, by the end of this year. ## The filmmakers' movie with Aamir will start after Kaithi 2. He also has Kamal Haasan's Vikram 2 and a film with Suriya's Rolex character from Vikram. He also plans to make Leo 2 with Thalapathy Vijay, which is not definite at the moment. Except for Coolie and Aamir's film, all the upcoming movies of Lokesh will be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. ## Aamir Khan, on the other hand, was seen in the recently released comedy drama Sitaare Zameen Par, which is still playing in theatres. He will next reunite with director Rajkumar Hirani for the biopic of Dadashaheb Phalke, known as the father of Indian cinema. It will start filming in October this year. Mumbai, July 15 - India's action star Vidyut Jammwal is set for his Hollywood debut with Legendary Pictures' live-action Street Fighter movie, based on the video games from Capcom, according to the report by Deadline. Vidyut Jammwal, who has been deliberate about the project, will play the role of Dhalsim, a yogi with fire-spitting abilities — a fundamentally peaceful man who fights to support his family. The character was first introduced in Street Fighter II in 1991. The project is currently in development by Legendary and distributed by Sony Pictures. The film will be directed by Kitao Sakurai. Earlier, YouTuber twins Danny and Michael Philippou of the channel RackaRacka were in talks to direct the film, but later dropped out of the movie due to other commitments. As has already been announced, Street Fighter cast will also include Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian as M.
