Chennai, June 28, 2021: The dynamic trio of Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha Akkineni, and Nayanthara have teamed up together for the first time in Vignesh Shivan's Tamil romantic comedy "Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal". ## While Samantha and Nayanthara have already worked with Vijay Sethupathi in Super Deluxe and Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, respectively, it is also the first time when two leading ladies of South India working together in a film. ## The shooting of the film was supposed to take place in April 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. In May 2020, the production house announced that the film will go on floors from August 2020. On 10 December 2020, the team officially kickstarted the film on floors in Chennai. ## And now, according to reports, only 15 days of shoot left for Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, and the team is gearing up for the release in October this year in theaters. Apart from direction, Vignesh Shivan has also written and jointly produced the film with Nayanthara and Lalit Kumar under the banners of Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio. ## Earlier in February on Valentine’s Day, director Vignesh Shivan unveiled the title logo and revealed that his fourth feature film is titled 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal'. Hyderabad, June 27, 2021: Last year on September 2, director Harish Shankar announced his next film with power star Pawan Kalyan, which is going to be actor's 28th film. Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, the makers had also released the first-look poster of PSPK 28, which has a photo of India Gate with Subhash Chandra Bose and Sardar Vallabhai Patel on it.## Recently, the makers had planned to unveiled the title and the first look of Kalyan on the occasion of Ugadi 2021. Mumbai, June 13, 2021: Versatile actor Manoj Bajpayee has returned to reprise his fan-favorite role as Shrikant Tiwari in Amazon Prime Video's "The Family Man 2". The actor is very well received by the audiences for his role in this espionage action thriller series. ## The series, however, faced the heat from the Tamil-speaking people who alleged that the show depicted Tamils in an "objectionable manner". Many people asked for a ban on the series, for which, the makers had to release a statement that people shouldn't reach a conclusion by seeing only the trailer and asked them to wait for the show to premiere. ## Meanwhile, Manoj Bajpayee feels the series has worked, and that proves people know that the story isn't about hurting sentiments. ## "We as a team - our directors, writers, are very sentimental to each and every person and state. Chennai, June 4, 2021: Samantha Akkineni, who made her digital debut with Amazon Prime Video's "The Family Man 2", is overwhelmed with the response she is getting from the viewers. The series, which was originally planned to premiere on June 4, preponed a few hours as it dropped on June 3. Chennai, May 25, 2021: The controversy around Amazon Prime Video's upcoming web series, The Family Man 2, is getting more intense as the Tamil Nadu government has written a letter to the Information and Broadcast Minister Prakash Javadekar seeking a ban on the show for 'depicts the Eelam Tamils in a highly objectionable manner'. ## "I would like to bring to your notice about the condemnable, inappropriate, and malicious contents of The Family Man 2 serial in Hindi, which depicts the Eelam Tamils in a highly objectionable manner. The trailer of the above said serial which was released in the social media network is aimed at discrediting and distorting the historical struggle of Eelam Tamils in Sri Lanka", read a section of the letter.## According to the trailer launched recently, South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni, who makes her digital debut with this series, can be seen portraying a character named Raji. According to them, assumptions have been made based on a few shots in the trailer and urged people to wait for the show to premiere, which is scheduled for June 4 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. ## "Some assumptions and impressions have been made based on just a couple of shots in the trailer. Many of our lead cast members, as well as key members of the creative & writing team, are Tamilians. BA Raju, who was a senior film journalist, a publicist, and a producer in the Telugu film industry, died due to sudden fluctuations in diabetes and cardiac arrest on May 21st night in Hyderabad. ## Raju worked with top Telugu stars in his career spanning four decades. Chennai, May 21, 2021: Ever since the trailer of Amazon Prime Video's new web series, "The Family Man 2" has released, it is receiving backlash from the Tamil community for allegedly portraying Tamil people as terrorists in the show. ## Even though Amazon Prime Video has edited the trailer, the controversy around the web series is certainly becoming a big issue with political parties has also started jumping into the matter. After getting calls for a ban on the series on social media, the founder of Tamil Nadu's third-largest party in the recently concluded elections, Seeman, on Friday, demanded calling off the series. ## According to a statement issued by Seeman (via India TV), the politician said that the trailer of the web series 'The Family Man 2' is shocking as it portrays Tamils as vicious and the Liberation Tiger for Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as terrorists. ## "The series seeks to intentionally portray the LTTE as terrorists and Tamils as vicious people. It is no coincidence that Chennai has been chosen as the location", Seeman said and according to him, the web series story revolves around an Eelam - in Sri Lanka- a woman who is portrayed as a militant.## "In a situation where 2 lakh Tamils in Eelam have been slaughtered by the tyranny of Sinhala chauvinism, the attempt to portray the Tamils as terrorists through a web series that stand as the greatest democrats and seeking justice in the international forums through moral and legal struggle is highly condemnable", Seeman continued.## As shown in the trailer, South Indian actress, Samantha Akkineni portrays one of the highly-trained rebels, Raji, in the show.
