Mumbai, February 14 - Amazon Prime Video's latest feature "Gehraiyaan", starring Deepika Padukone, is getting a very good response on the platform. The Shakun Batra-directed film, which narrates the complexity of modern relationships, was Prime Video's 2nd most-watched title in the last week. ## According to the third party reacher Ormax Media, "Gehraiyaan", which was released on February 11, scored 6.5 million views in the first 3 days. The movie, however, was the most-watched title in the first 3-days on Prime Video in the week from February 7 to February 13. ## Disney Plus Hotstar series, "The Great Indian Murder" attracted 6.8 million views in the full week, and was the most-watched Indian title during the aforementioned time period. SonyLiv's "Rocket Boys" came third with 3.2 million views during the same period. It was released on Feb. 4. ## Produced by Dharma Productions in association with Viacom18 Studios, and Jouska Films, "Gehraiyaan" also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa in prominent roles. Mumbai, February 11 - Dharma Productions' romantic drama, "Gehraiyaan", starring Deepika Padukone has been released on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Shakun Batra, the complex modern relationship drama film is being loved by the critics and OTT audience alike. ## Originally made for the theatrical release, the makers changed their plans and collaborate with Amazon Prime Video for the wide reach of the film and sold the streaming rights in the range of Rs. 100 crores, according to industry insiders. It is said that the movie cost approx Rs. 70 crores to the makers. ## The direct-to-digital amount of "Gehraiyaan" has made it the biggest deal for a woman-centric film and one of the highest for a Bollywood movie. The makers are said to be happy with the deal as they thought it wouldn't have recovered the cost if it was released in theaters amid the current circumstances.## Earlier, Akshay Kumar, Dhanush, and Sara Ali Khan's "Atrangi Re", which was released in December last year on Disney Plus Hotstar, was reportedly sold to Rs. 140 crores while movies like "Laxmii", "Coolie No. 1", "Bhuj: The Pride of India" were also sold at a high price. ## "Gehraiyaan" is jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Jouska Films. Mumbai, Jan 20 (IANS) The makers of the upcoming film 'Gehraiyaan' unveiled the trailer on Thursday and showcased an intense but complex human relationship. ## Directed by Shakun Batra, Amazon Original Movie 'Gehraiyaan' stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa as leads along with Nasseruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur in pivotal roles. ## Deepika said: "Alisha, my character in 'Gehraiyaan' is extremely close to my heart and certainly one of the most challenging characters I have portrayed on screen. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play a role that was fun and challenging at the same time. Each of the characters' struggles and arcs are real, raw and relatable." ## The actress says when it comes to dealing with relationships and human emotion, Shakun Batra is truly a master of his craft. ## "In a manner, this seems like coming back home to me," Siddhant Chaturvedi said. ## He added: "I feel there is a little bit of Zain in all of us. Mumbai, December 20 - Director Shakun Batra's long-in-production "Gehraiyaan" has opted for a direct to OTT route via Amazon Prime Video. The much-awaited modern relationship drama, starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa in the leads, will be landing on Prime Video in January 25, 2022. ## Producer Karan Johar of Dharma Productions said in a statement, "Gehraiyaan is an intense, real, and honest observation of modern relationships, and Shakun has done a phenomenal job of portraying the complexities of human emotions. That, combined with the cast's earnest and powerful performances, makes the film a truly compelling story. We're thrilled to premiere Gehraiyaan on Amazon Prime Video. The Yash Raj Films has wrapped up the production work of Bunty Aur Babli 2, a sequel of its 2005 film Bunty Aur Babli. The directorial debut of Varun V Sharma has completed the shooting schedule with the shooting of a song and dance routine on Saturday.## The shoot, at Mumbai's Yash Raj Films studios, adhered to the Indian government's recently announced safety protocols that allow movies to restart production in the COVID-19 era. This time Rani Mukerji will reprise the role of Babli Sr. while Saif Ali Khan along with Siddhant Chaturvedi and debutante Sharvari Wagh are the new additions. ## "As luck would have it, we had to wrap by shooting a fun song sequence and there was no better way to meet the entire team again and bring the house down with a lot of positivity, joy, and madness", Sharvari Wagh told Variety. ## Varun V. Sharma who is making his directorial debut had previously served as chief assistant director on YRF's "Tiger Zinda Hai" starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. "I'm thankful that it all went well because this will give confidence to the entire film industry to return to shoot", said Sharma. ## Bunty and Babli 2 was announced in December last year and was scheduled for a theatrical release on 26 June 2020. Mumbai, March 5 (IANS) Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, who has been signed up as a brand ambassador of a men's grooming range, feels celebrity faces truly influence consumers to buy products. Being a fanboy of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, Siddhant says he also did the same in his years of growing up.## "Being a Shah Rukh Khan fan, as a kid, I would go for anything that SRK endorsed. If I saw an ad on TV, I would ask if I could get that (product)," Siddhant told IANS.## On Virat, he added: "Being a huge cricket fan, I felt anything that Virat does, I have to do!"## Now that the actor has become the face of a men's grooming brand, the subject of his signature style naturally came up. "I believe in finding my own comfort. Those days when everyone found growing beard cool, I wasn't doing it only because everyone was doing it. I grew a stubble. Holding on to my signature style that defines my personality is important to me rather than following a trend. I am an actor. So, most of the time I am portraying someone on-screen who I am not. If I have to be someone else off camera too, where will I show the real me?" he chuckled with a wink.## Is grooming as important for men as women? "It is important to be well-groomed, especially when you are going out for a date, a professional meeting or attending an occasion. Personally, I am lazy by nature to groom myself every day, but I am an actor and I am in showbiz. That is why I prepare myself to get used to the practice of being presentable at all times," he replied.## Being signed up to sell products, they say, is the first sign that you've arrived as a star.
