In a rematch of their earlier encounter, AJ Styles emerged victorious over Bobby Lashley in a hard-fought match that left Lashley with two head injuries. It was a disappointing end to the night for Lashley, who bled profusely in his earlier match and failed to advance to the finals of the tournament. ## Styles will now face Seth Rollins in the finals, and there's reason to believe it could be an excellent contest. The two locked up at the start of their match, and it was reminiscent of some of the best matches in TNA history. Lashley, still feeling the effects of his earlier match, stopped Styles' chop attempt with some well-placed elbows and a boot to the face. He then threw Styles over the top rope, and the action spilled to the outside, where Lashley continued to dominate. ## After the commercial break, Styles regained the upper hand with a flurry of kicks to Lashley's legs, but Lashley quickly recovered and slammed Styles to the mat. Styles fought back with a calf crusher, but Lashley escaped and regained control. However, Styles was not to be deterred and landed a DDT that earned him a two-count. Despite his injury, Lashley fought back with punches to Styles' head and a suplex that almost won him the match. ## Styles came back with a sliding punch, but Lashley locked in the Hurt Lock until Styles reached the ropes for a break. They continued to brawl outside the ring, and Lashley attempted to run Styles into the ring post, but Styles countered and ran Lashley into the post instead. WWE's Undisputed Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, made a triumphant return to SmackDown, taking the ring by storm in a segment with The Bloodline, wherein he revealed his match for Night of Champions. Reigns, in a candid moment, confided in Solo Sikoa that his brothers Jimmy and Jey Uso were the real problem, not Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, as Solo had assumed.## Reigns, evidently disgruntled, disclosed to Solo that The Usos had begged for a rematch, dedicating the match to Roman and yet, they lost. This, in turn, resulted in Roman's disgrace, as the loss tarnished the image of The Bloodline, a group Roman holds very close to his heart. Thus, Roman sternly demanded an apology from Jimmy and Jey for their sub-par performance.## Upon Jimmy's refusal to apologize, Roman wasted no time in shoving him in the face. Jey, on the other hand, took a more conciliatory approach and apologized on behalf of himself and his brother, seeking another shot at the Tag Titles, promising to redeem themselves.## In a surprising turn of events, Paul Heyman announced that the Tag Title match at Night of Champions will see Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa team up against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. It has been revealed, via the private Twitter account @BoozerRasslin, that some of the plans for tonight's WWE Friday Night SmackDown have been leaked. These plans, which were disclosed several hours ago, are subject to late changes. ## According to the leak, the Bloodline's ongoing problems will be further explored in the lead-up to the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View event. Roman Reigns and Solo SIkoa will apparently face Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at NOC, and this match is expected to be announced when Reigns returns tonight. However, Jey Uso is not expected to be pleased about this development. ## In addition, it has been reported that LA Knight will select a tag team partner, and Grayson Waller will extend an invitation to the new World Heavyweight Champion to be the first guest on his talk show, the Grayson Waller Effect. Karrion Kross Full Match ## Kross unleashes a knee strike followed by a flurry of punches, but Nakamura counters with a knee and a series of well-placed kicks while backed into a corner. Kross responds with a forceful forearm and whips Nakamura towards the ropes, but Nakamura rebounds with a spectacular flying boot from the corner. ## Kross retreats to the outside of the ring, and Nakamura pursues him. Kross manages to land a knee to Nakamura's midsection, but Nakamura rallies with a powerful offensive assault. However, Kross gains the upper hand by powerbombing Nakamura into the ring post. ## After the commercial break, Kross lands a vicious kick to Nakamura's head, causing Nakamura to become visibly agitated. Nakamura responds with a barrage of forearms, but Kross counters with a headbutt. Despite this setback, Nakamura evades Kross's attempted slam and retaliates with a dropkick. ## Nakamura then proceeds to deliver a series of swift forearms, knees, and kicks, culminating in a devastating enzuigiri. ## Kross sends Nakamura flying with an Irish whip, but Nakamura dodges as Kross charges into the corner. Nakamura takes advantage of the situation and places Kross on the turnbuckles, delivering a running knee to Kross's midsection for a near fall. As Nakamura continues his offensive with a series of kicks, Scarlett gets onto the apron, and Nakamura becomes distracted. ## Kross capitalizes on the distraction, executing an exploder for a near fall. He then locks in the Kross Jacket, but Nakamura counters with a snap mare and transitions into a cross arm breaker. Kross manages to counter and nearly pins Nakamura, but Nakamura maintains his momentum, applying a triangle hold. Kross attempts a one-armed powerbomb, but Nakamura counters with a guillotine choke. ## Nakamura follows up with a knee strike and a powerful enzuigiri, followed by a German suplex. Nakamura then sets up for his finishing maneuver, the Kinshasa, but Kross counters with a clothesline, and both competitors collapse to the mat. ## Kross manages to get a near fall after executing a suplex, but Nakamura responds with a quick rollup for a near fall of his own. Kross then lands a brutal knee strike to Nakamura's head before hitting him with a Doomsday Saito, coming within inches of victory. ## However, Nakamura perseveres and lands a knee and a well-placed kick to Kross's head.
