WWE Intercontinental Championship: GUNTHER(c) Vs. Braun Strowman ##
Gunther will defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Braun Strowman on the January 13 episode of WWE SmackDown. ##
The match was set during the December 30th edition of SmackDown with Imperium entering the ring to discuss Gunther's reign as Intercontinental Champion and his path of destruction. Before Gunther could speak, Braun Strowman would make his way to the ring to confront the champions and told Gunther that he wanted a title shot. ##
Strowman stopped them and fought off Kaiser and Vinci. He blocked a chop and sent Gunther to ringside. The Strowman express ran down Kaiser and Vinci, but Gunther moved. Strowman crashed into the barricade. Gunther grabbed a chair and beat down Strowman. In weeks, Braun Strowman will challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental title. ##
Winner Prediction: Gunther ##
Singles Match: Kevin Owens Vs. Sami Zayn ##
Next week, Sami Zayn goes one-on-one with Kevin Owens. ##
On Friday's WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns reproached Sami Zayn for trying to call the shot and then losing on the December 30 episode of WWE SmackDown which saw Roman teaming against John Cena & Owens. ##
During the episode, Reigns admitted he's not mad at Owens, not Zayn. Reigns isn't worried because he has a solution. Heyman then announced Zayn vs. Owens for next week. Zayn accepted the match and promised to beat Owens. Reigns asked Zayn to stay and watch the title match with him. ##
So, Coming up next week, it will be Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in a singles match. Plus, Intercontinental Champion Gunther will defend his title against Braun Strowman. ##
