Deool Band 2 Day 15 Box Office: Marathi Sequel Hits 50 Crore Milestone, Leaving it 10 Crore Shy of Surpassing Ved

BY SACNILK

Deool Band 2 has reached a massive milestone in its theatrical journey, officially crossing the 50 crore net mark at the Indian box office. This sequel, written and directed by Pravin Tarde, has clearly touched an emotional chord with the audience by blending a gritty social narrative with deep devotional themes. By addressing the sensitive issue of farmer suicides through the eyes of Sangeeta, a struggling woman who finds solace in visions of Shri Swami Samarth, the film has managed to sustain interest far beyond the typical run of a regional drama. Mohan Joshi's return as the saint and Snehal Tarde's powerful performance as Sangeeta have driven this success, proving that stories rooted in faith and local struggles still carry enormous weight at the ticket windows. Entering the 50 crore club is a rare feat for Marathi cinema, and it cements this production's status as a blockbuster. As of its 15th day, the film is continuing its steady run despite entering its third week. Live updates show that the movie has added about 0.41 crore net so far today, which pushes the total India net collection to 51.21 crore. Looking back at the 14th day, which was the second Wednesday, the film earned 1.80 crore. While this was a 23.4 percent drop from the previous day, the hold remained respectable for a mid-week performance. On the gross side, the domestic total has now successfully surpassed the 60 crore mark, currently standing at 60.22 crore. Take a look at the collection breakdown of the movie over its first 14 days: Week 1 Collection: ₹30.20 Cr Day 9: ₹3.10 Cr Day 10: ₹5.00 Cr Day 11: ₹5.75 Cr Day 12: ₹2.60 Cr Day 13: ₹2.35 Cr Day 14: ₹1.80 Cr (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The core of this success remains the solid footprint in Maharashtra, particularly in major hubs like Mumbai and Pune. On Wednesday, Mumbai recorded an overall occupancy of around 17.5 percent across 626 shows. Pune performed even better, witnessing nearly 25 percent occupancy from its 408 shows. These two regions have been the engine room for the movie, providing the necessary volume to maintain high daily totals even after the initial opening weekend rush. With 51.21 crore net already in the bank, the next logical target for Deool Band 2 is the record set by the blockbuster Ved. According to the current standings, the film needs to collect approximately 10 crore more to surpass the 61 crore net mark achieved by Ved. Given that it has just entered its third week and still has 826 shows running today, the path toward that record seems clear, though the pace of collection over the coming weekend will be crucial in determining how quickly it closes that gap. In the national multiplex chains, the film saw a decent turnout during its second Wednesday. The combined gross from major chains like PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis was approximately 12 lakh. This came from about 5,400 tickets sold across 570 shows. PVR led the contribution with nearly 6 lakh, while INOX and Cinepolis followed with roughly 3 lakh each. The average occupancy across these premium screens hovered around 4 percent, showing that the urban audience is still trickling in to watch the sequel.

Allu Arjun Clinches Seventh Filmfare Trophy For Pushpa 2 Matching Megastar Chiranjeevi's Competitive Award Record

BY SACNILK

Allu Arjun has etched his name further into the annals of Telugu cinema history, securing the Best Actor (Telugu) trophy for Pushpa 2: The Rule at the 70th Filmfare Awards South. The victory, announced on February 21, 2026, marks the actor's seventh competitive Filmfare win, bringing his total tally level with the long-standing record held by Megastar Chiranjeevi. The win for Pushpa 2 follows the massive critical and commercial success of the Sukumar-directed sequel, which saw Allu Arjun reprise his role as the titular red-sander smuggler turned kingpin. His performance, characterized by intense physicality and a distinct dialect, has already earned him significant national acclaim, with this latest Black Lady serving as a testament to his dominance in the leading man category. Data highlights a remarkable efficiency in Allu Arjun's award trajectory. The actor reached the seven-award milestone from just 13 nominations, whereas Megastar Chiranjeevi achieved his seven Best Actor trophies from 21 nominations. While Chiranjeevi still holds the record for the highest number of wins specifically in the Best Actor category, Allu Arjun's cumulative competitive trophies—spanning Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Critics' Choice—cement his status as the most decorated actor of the current generation. Chiranjeevi's legendary status is anchored by a diverse filmography that saw him dominate the Best Actor category across three decades. His record-holding journey began with the nuanced Subhalekha (1982) and the family drama Vijetha (1985). He later secured critical acclaim for the K. Viswanath-directed Aapathbandhavudu (1992) and massive commercial success with the mass entertainer Muta Mesthri (1993). The Megastar's later wins for the dual-role performance in Sneham Kosam (1999), the industry-redefining blockbuster Indra (2002), and the iconic comedic turn in Shankar Dada MBBS (2004) set a benchmark for stardom that remained unchallenged for over twenty years. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})   Allu Arjun's journey to seven Filmfare awards includes five Best Actor trophies for Parugu, Vedam, Race Gurram, Pushpa: The Rise, and now Pushpa 2: The Rule. He also secured a Best Supporting Actor win for his portrayal of Gona Ganna Reddy in Rudhramadevi and a Best Actor (Critics) award for Sarrainodu. This consistent performance across diverse genres has allowed him to close the gap with the industry's senior legends in record time. The success of Pushpa 2: The Rule at the Filmfare Awards comes on the heels of its record-breaking box office run, where it surpassed the collections of its predecessor to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time. With a background score by Devi Sri Prasad and high-octane sequences choreographed by top-tier stunt directors, the film has set new benchmarks for the Masala genre.

The production house reached unprecedented heights with Dangal (2016), a biographical sports drama that shattered box office records. It stands as the highest-grossing film from AKP and one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, with a staggering worldwide collection of ₹ 2070.3 crore, largely fueled by its monumental success in China. This success was followed by Secret Superstar (2017), a heartwarming story of a young girl's musical aspirations, which also became a massive global hit. Grossing over ₹912.75 crore worldwide, it is considered one of the most profitable films ever made on a modest budget. In recent years, AKP has continued to experiment with different genres. While the official adaptation of Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), had a mixed run at the domestic box office with collections around ₹61.36 crore nett, it found a better reception in international markets. showcasing the production house's continued focus on ambitious, large-scale projects.

Thalapathy Vijay's 'The GOAT' Updated Official Theatrical Runtime Revealed

BY SACNILK

Chennai, August 27 - Thalapathy Vijay's most-awaited action thriller The Greatest of All-Time is set to be one of the longest Tamil films with over 3 hours of theatrical runtime. The movie, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is scheduled to be released on September 5 in multiple languages. ## The GOAT was recently censored with the UA certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with the runtime approved under 3 hours. However, due to some reasons, the makers sent the movie for re-censorship which resulted in longer than its original runtime. ## While the movie retained its UA certificate, the theatrical runtime is now 3 hours and 3 minutes (183 minutes). This move, despite the runtime being lengthy, shows the confidence of the makers in the movie as reports say the film has come out very well. ## Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film stars Vijay in dual roles as a father and son, alongside Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Yogi Babu, Premgi Amaren, and Yugendran in key roles.## The GOAT, which is the penultimate film of Vijay before his political entry, follows Gandhi, former leader of a special anti-terrorist squad, who reconciles with his squad members to address the problems which were stemmed from their previous actions. ## Stay tuned...
