Mumbai, January 20 - The Punjabi Indi-pop single, "Lahore" by Guru Randhawa has become the latest entry in the billion views club on YouTube. On Thursday (January 20), the popular music video hit the 1 billion views mark on the T-Series YouTube channel, becoming the second for Guru Randhawa after "High Rated Gabru". ## "Lahore" was released on 13 December 2017 and became an instant hit among the youth. In an interview with IANS, Randhawa had said about "Lahore'" that "It's about a girl whom I have referred to from different places like Lahore, Delhi, Mumbai or London. I have compared her to Lahore's beauty, Mumbai's move, London's weather, and so on. Mumbai, December 6 - Bhushan Kumar-headed music label, T-Series creates history by becoming the world's first YouTube channel to reach 200 million subscribers. The company, which was founded by Gulshan Kumar on July 11, 1983, is at least 77 million ahead of the second-placed American YouTube channel and streaming media show, Cocomelon, acquired by the UK company Moonbug Entertainment. ## T-Series is also the most viewed YouTube channel with over 172 billion views. Not just a record label, T-Series is one of the leading production houses in India. It has produced blockbuster films such as Aashiqui, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, and Bewafa Sanam in the 90s apart from Tum Bin, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Aashiqui 2, Baby, Satyameva Jayate, Bharat, Kabir Singh, among many others in the last 20 years.## Speaking on the milestone of touching 200 million subscribers, Bhushan Kumar told the republic world, "A year back we touched the maximum number of subscribers which was 100 Million and that was also a landmark and today, we've touched 200 million. Mumbai, November 16 - Bhushan Kumar under his production banner T-Series, has announced a new film, titled "Dhokha". The thriller drama stars actors R Madhavan, Aparshakti Khurana, and Darshan Kumar, along with Khushali Kumar, who marks her debut with this film. Khushali is a relative of T-Series head, Bhushan Kumar. ## "Dhokha" is directed by Kookie Gulati and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dharmendra Sharma, and Vikrant Sharma. Mumbai, September 13, 2021: In a big development, two of India's biggest production houses, T-Series and Reliance Entertainment have joined hands to produce a slate of films over the next 2-3 years. During this period, the two companies will jointly produce more than 10 films across different genres that include big-budget tentpoles as well as mid and small-budget content-rich films. ## The two studios have worked together on the music marketing front for more than 100 films. And now, they will jointly be venturing into film production and will be investing over INR 1000 crores over the course of the next 24 to 36 months. ## The extensive line-up of films is in various stages of development which includes Hindi remakes of Tamil blockbuster drama and action thrillers, a mega historic biopic, espionage thriller, courtroom drama, satire comedy, romance drama, and a film based on shocking true events, amongst others.## Given the pace of the developments, confirmed alignments with some of India’s biggest stars, four to five films will have a comfortable big-screen release worldwide, starting next year-2022. To give the audiences a larger-than-life experience, Reliance, and T-Series partnered with filmmakers like Pushkar and Gayatri, Vikramjit Singh, Mangesh Hadawale, Srijit Mukherji, and Sankalp Reddy. ## Bhushan Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, T-Series, said in a statement, "After working on music marketing together, this collaboration has happened at the right time and this will just strengthen our ties. Mumbai, July 16, 2021: The Managing Director of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar has been accused of an alleged rape case. DN Nagar police station in Andheri (West), Mumbai, has registered a First Information Report (FIR) on the complaint of a 30-year old woman. ## The woman claimed that she was allegedly raped by Kumar on the pretext of giving her a job in one of his upcoming projects. Taking action on it, Mumbai Police has registered an FIR under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for a case of rape. Mumbai, July 3, 2021: On the first death anniversary of Saroj Khan, producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series has announced the biopic of the legendary Indian dance choreographer. ## The T-Series' official Twitter handle announced that the producer recently acquired the rights to Saroj Khan's life story from her children Raju Khan, Sukiana Khan, and daughters of Hina Khan. Mumbai, July 1, 2021: The Bombay High Court today delivered the judgment in the murder case of T-Series owner, Gulshan Kumar, who was brutally killed in broad daylight on August 12, 1997. Ramesh Taurani, the owner of the music label Tips Industries Limited, was one of the accused with music director Nadeem Akhtar Saifee (of Nadeem-Shravan fame) in the case. ## Taurani was charged with allegedly conspiring with Saifee by hiring Dubai mafioso Abu Salem to carry out the murder. He was also charged for paying Nadeem a sum of Rs 2.5 million to carry out the execution. Taurani was arrested by Bombay's crime branch for 'abetting' music magnate Gulshan Kumar's murder but was later granted bail after being imprisoned. ## Five years later, in 2002, the sessions court dropped all charges against him. After his acquittal in the lower court, the State of Maharashtra then appealed in the High Court which has now been dismissed by the court after 19 years when a division bench of Justices Sadhana Jadhav and NR Borkar delivered a judgment today (July 1) and acquitted him from all chargers. ## Taurani called it a triumph of the truth after he got relief in the Gulshan Kumar murder case. "The appeal has been dismissed and my family and I happy and relieved. I was expecting the verdict. I had to go through a long ordeal that was not required. It has been almost 25 years and I have gone through a lot of trouble. I got my acquittal in 2002 but since then there have been so many appeals. The sessions court had given a detailed order so I felt that it was unnecessary to bring it up in the High Court. The judiciary is already burdened so I believe this was stretched too far", Taurani said (via News 18). ## Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court upheld the conviction of Abdul Rauf Merchant in the murder case. He was an aide of gangster Dawood Ibrahim and was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2002 for Gulshan Kumar's murder in 1997. While delivering the judgment in the Gulshan Kumar murder case, the high court bench noted that Abdul Rauf Merchant had "criminal antecedents".## The bench said, "He is not entitled to remission as he absconded right after his arrest. He was released on furlough in 2009. His conviction continued as he fled parole and continued with his criminal activities. Hence in the interest of justice at large, he does not deserve any leniency". ## The bench, in its order, stated that they upheld the conviction and sentence passed against Abdul Rauf Dawood Merchant under section 302, 307 of IPC by the judgment of sessions court judge dated April 29, 2002. They also added that he is also convicted for the section under section 120-B of IPC. The bench said that he is acquitted of charges under sections 392 (Robbery) and 397 (Robbery or dacoity in attempt to cause death) of IPC.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, March 29 (IANS) T-series honcho Bhushan Kumar has pledged to donate Rs 11 crore to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative PM CARES Fund and Rs 1 crore to the Chief Ministers Relief Fund, Maharashtra to lend support to the ongoing battle against the coronavirus pandemic.## Kumar took to Twitter on Sunday and tweeted: "Today, we are all at a really crucial stage & it's extremely important to do all we can to help. I, along with my entire @TSeries family pledge to donate Rs. 11 crores to the PM-CARES Fund. We can & will fight this together, Jai Hind @PMOIndia @narendramodi #IndiaFightsCorona."## He added: "In this hour of need, I pledge to donate Rs. 1 crore to the CM's relief fund along with my family at @Tseries. Hope we all get through this difficult time soon. Contributors to the fund will enjoy tax benefits, it has been announced.## "People from all walks of life expressed their desire to donate to India's war against COVID-19. Respecting that spirit, the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund has been constituted.
