IMDb Unveils The List of The Top 10 Most Popular Indian Web Series of The First Half of 2023

Mumbai, July 13 - The first half of 2023 has been good for the Indian entertainment industry which delivered some hugely successful movies and web shows. IMDb, an online database of information related to the entertainment industry, released a list of the most popular Indian movies of the year (so far) earlier in the day which saw the dominance of the Bollywood titles. ## IMDb has now revealed the list of the top 10 most popular Indian web series of the first half of 2023 and it is also dominated by the Hindi streaming titles. Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, and Raashii Khanna's black comedy crime thriller Farzi, which is the most-watched web series of all time in India, also topped IMDb's most popular list, in terms of page views. ## Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor's crime thriller The Night Manager, which serves as a remake of the British television series "The Night Manager" (2016) based on John Le Carre's novel of the same name, is the second most popular Indian web title of the year so far. ## Rana Naidu, which stars Venkatesh Daggubati, and Rana Daggubati, takes the third spot among the most popular titles on IMDb this year. It is the official adaptation of the 2013 crime TV series, "Ray Donovan". Malang Actors Aditya Roy Kapur & Anil Kapoor To Lead The Night Manager Series After Hrithik Roshan Back Out?

Mumbai, October 1 - For more than a year now, Disney+Hotstar's Indian adaptation of the British mini-series The Night Manager, has been waiting to see the light of the tunnel. However, things are finally looking all settled and the streamer has reportedly roped in Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor to lead this big-budget series. ## Earlier, the spy drama series was supposed to be headlined by the Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and he was reportedly paid a whopping 75 crores for the same. However, just before the series was set to go on floors, Hrithik walked out of the project, and it was put on hold indefinitely. It is reported that Roshan was not comfortable with the long schedules and decided to walk out. ## And now, amid the uncertainty over the project, The Night Manager Indian adaptation is reportedly back on track and will be headlined by the Malang actors. Aditya Roy Kapur is said to be stepping into the shoes of Tom Hiddleston and play the role of a luxury hotel night manager and former Indian soldier while Anil Kapoor will reprise Hugh Laurie's role of an arms dealer who disguises himself to be a business tycoon.## The series will be produced by Preity Zinta in association with Banijay Asia while Sandeep Modi who co-directed Ram Madhvani's Emmay Awards nominated Aarya has been brought on board to direct this six-part. The makers are currently finalizing the rest of the principal cast for the series and expected to take it on floors in the early next year. ## Meanwhile, Aditya will soon resume the last schedule of Ahmed Khan's action drama "Om: The Battle Within" and will then shoot for Thadam remake with Mrunal Thakur. Once he has done with both the films, he will head to his OTT debut series. Hrithik Roshan To Make OTT Debut With The Hindi Adaptation Of British TV Series 'The Night Manager'!

It was recently revealed that Bollywood superstar, Hrithik Roshan has been approached by Disney+Hotstar to play the lead role in the Hindi adaptation of the British TV series, "The Night Manager". Now, as per the latest development, the superstar has signed the show and will begin the shooting for it in March next year. ## According to the reports, Hrithik has signed on the dotted line and will kick it off almost after two years of his last release, War. The Night Manager will see him playing the role of a luxury hotel night manager and former Indian soldier who is recruited by a government agent to infiltrate the inner circle of a ruthless arms dealer.## As reported, Hrithik is apparently being paid a whopping 75 crores for what would be his debut on the OTT platform. The show is reportedly being planned on a large scale and will be as stylish as the original that starred Tom Hiddleston, who is widely known for playing supervillain Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. ## Marathi film, Chumbak director, Sandeep Modi, who also co-directed Sushmita Sen starrer "Aarya" with Ram Madhvani earlier this year, is on board to helm the OTT debut series of Hrithik. Modi will start the pre-production for this project after finishing the work on the second season of Aarya. ## Meanwhile, on the other hand, Hrithik Roshan has also reportedly been approached to star in the Hindi remake of Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan starrer Tamil movie, Vikram Vedha that will go on floors in the second half of next year.
