Actor Nani Blames Lack Of Unity Among Telugu Stars For Low Ticket Price In Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad, December 26 - The theatrical releases in Andhra Pradesh are being hit by the low ticket prices in theaters. Top of it, the Andhra Pradesh government has seized many theaters in the state, citing several reasons. This has caused problems for the distributors as they are not being able to generate enough revenue for their films. ## Actors Nani, whose "Shyam Singha Roy" was released over Christmas Day weekend on December 24, has voiced his opinion over the ongoing crisis. Nani openly stated the Telugu industry is lacking unity at the moment which is causing more problems.## In an interview with greatandhra.com, the "Jersey" actor stressed that all the heroes should unite and take a stand against the government's pricing policy. He further said that the situation of theaters in the state is not only affecting the producers and distributors but also causing problems to the people who associate with cinemas. ## Nani said, "Had everyone come on to a common consensus at the beginning itself, this problem wouldn't have become this big. 'Pushpa' music director Devi Sri Prasad to make acting debut shortly

Chennai, Dec 26 (IANS) Music composer Devi Sri Prasad, who scored the music for dirctor Sukumar's superhit film 'Pushpa - The Rise', has disclosed that he is to make his debut as an actor very soon. ## Talking to the media, the ace music director, who is popular in both the Tamil and Telugu film industries, said, "My target was only to be a musician which is why I refused a few acting offers initially. But the pandemic has changed my perception. It got me thinking and I wanted to try everything that I am good at. So very soon I will make my debut as an actor. Work for that has already begun." ## The music director was visibly pleased with the success of 'Pushpa's songs in all the five languages that the movie released in. ## He said, "I am really happy and excited. The effort that went into all the songs has really paid off. It almost took me one month to complete each and every song in the film. Samantha wraps up first shoot of 'Yashoda' on Xmas eve

India's Biggest Theater Screen In Andhra Pradesh Stop Operations Due To Low Ticket Prices

Nellore, December 25 - V Epiq, the largest theater screen of India, has shut down its operation due to the low ticket prices. Situated in Sullurpet, Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, the V Epiq screen is 100ft in width and 85ft in height, and is one of the largest in the world. ## It has come to the light that the V Epiq screen has suspended operations from yesterday (December 24) onwards due to Andhra Pradesh Government's restrictions on Ticket Prices. It is reported that the highest price of a movie ticket in the theater was just Rs. 35, which is among the lowest in the state. The theater owners reportedly said that they will lose more money by running it than staying shut. ## The V Epiq screen was opened on August 30, 2019, with Prabhas' starrer "Saaho". It was the third-largest screen in the world at the time of its opening. And now, the screen had to shut as it was not being able to generate enough revenue to stay open.## The situation of theaters in Andhra Pradesh is getting worst day by day as the government is looking in a revenge mood. 'Going nude was too much for Telugu audience': Sukumar on shelving raw scene in 'Pushpa'

Hyderabad, Dec 25 (IANS) The climax of 'Pushpa: The Rise' was to have originally featured actors Allu Arjun and Fahadh Fassil in the nude but the makers backed off, apprehensive of the response from the conservative Telugu audience. ## In a conversation with the media, director Sukumar let the secret slip. "The climax confrontation scene is different from the one we originally shot," Sukumar revealed. ## Disclosing the fact that both Allu Arjun and Fahadh Fassil were supposed to appear nude in the scene, Sukumar explains that only then would the scene have appealed in its rawest form. ## "Allu Arjun and Fahadh were supposed to go nude for the climax scene. 'Baahubali' producer's suggestion on AP ticket pricing issue

Nani on AP ticket pricing issue: Whatever is happening is not right

Hyderabad, Dec 24 (IANS) Nani, Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty, and Madonna Sebastian starrer 'Shyam Singha Roy' is out in the theatres. As the makers were engrossed in the promotional activities, Nani had spoken on ticket pricing issues in Andhra Pradesh. ## In the wake of unprecedented raids on movie theatres in Andhra Pradesh, a number of theatres are being ceased in multiple locations of Andhra Pradesh. ## While these activities by the government are being considered as revenge on the movie industry people, not many stars have openly condemned the issues as well. ## Nani, who has been vocal on the ticket pricing issues, has reacted to it recently. ## "Whatever is happening is not right. We must keep political issues separate from movie-related issues," Nani said. Nani added: "I can't even put into words rightly. This is like laying an axe on the whole industry."## Nani has been receiving positive reactions to these statements against the acts of the AP government. ## "A relatively small star-like Nani came forward and took the risk of speaking even though his movie is releasing. He is very well aware that he is pushing himself into risk", one comment reads.## "A man with a spine. Other heroes are just donating lakhs, expecting the government to cool off. But, why don't they stand up against the government?", another person questions.## The Government has been cutting off movie ticket prices to 10, 20, 30 rupees in some areas of Andhra Pradesh. It has also released a 'Most Urgent' G.O. to carry out raids in all districts and send reports by the 29th of this month.## "While the state has been financially hit with the pandemic situation still prevailing, and the natural disasters like floods affecting the people, why is the government behind the movie industry, which can generate financial support? 'RRR' Becomes First Indian Movie To Cross $1M In The USA In Pre-Sales

Mumbai, December 23 - SS Rajamouli's "RRR" is poised to take the biggest opening in the USA for an Indian movie. Scheduled for the USA premiere on January 6, 2022, "RRR" has already crossed the $1 million mark in the pre-sales there, becoming the first Indian movie to do so.## Billed to be the biggest Indian film to date, "RRR" will be eyeing a minimum $3 million opening in the USA, which is the biggest overseas market of "RRR", releasing in over 2212 theaters across five languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.## Produced by DVV Entertainment, "RRR" narrates a fictional tale about two freedom fighters in the early 20th century – Alluri Sitarama Raju, played by Ram Charan, and Komaram Bheem, played by Jr NTR.
