Tamannaah Bhatia To Be Paired With Megastar Chiranjeevi In Bhola Shankar!

Hyderabad, November 1 - Megastar Chiranjeevi, who will next be seen in Koratala Siva's "Acharya", is gearing up to begin the shooting of director Meher Ramesh's "Bhola Shankar", which is said to be the Telugu remake of Thala Ajith's Vedalam. Keerthy Suresh will be playing Chiranjeevi's sister in the film. ## As team "Bhola Shankar" is in readiness to begin the regular shoot, the popular actress in Tollywood, Tamannaah Bhatia, has reportedly been cast to play the female lead opposite Chiranjeevi. It is said that the megastar wanted someone, who is good both at dancing and acting and Tamannaah seemed to be the perfect fit for the role. ## The much-anticipated film revolves around brother-sister sentiments with both Chiranjeevi and Keerthy portraying those roles. Tamannaah will be stepping into the shoes of Shruti Hassan from the original film. She is reportedly charging a hefty price for the role. The makers are expected to make an official announcement regarding her inclusion soon. ## "Bhola Shankar" will officially be launched on November 11th at 7:45 AM with a formal puja ceremony in the presence of the cast and crew. Hyderabad, October 31 - SS Rajamouli, who has been busy promoting his upcoming directorial, the magnum opus "RRR", which is the first film since Baahubali 2. During the media interaction recently, the Baahubali filmmaker had spoken elaborately on all the questions asked by his fans and the media. ## Having worked with some of the biggest Telugu actors over the years, SS Rajamouli was asked one of the fans why he never directed Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Hyderabad, October 24 - Telugu musical romantic comedy film, "Pelli SandaD" has surprised one and all at the box office. Despite getting bad reviews from critics and audiences, the movie has earned a clean Hit status in Telugu. It reported house full shows at some places of Hyderabad in the opening weekend. ## Directed by Gowri Ronanki, the movie has earned approx Rs. 7.80 crores net in Telugu. In the first five days, Pelli SandaD grossed approx Rs. 7.3 crores in India including AP/TG share of Rs. 4.41 crores. The movie cost between 5-7 crores and it turned out to be a profitable venture for the makers. ## It is a sequel to a 1996 film of the same name. The film marks the acting debut of Raghavendra Rao who directed the previous film. Hyderabad, October 10 - Power Star Pawan Kalyan, Megastar Chiranjeevi as well as other leading Tollywood actors including Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Ram Charan, among others cast their votes on Sunday (October 10) to elect new office-bearers of the Movie Artists Association (MAA), the apex body of the Telugu film industry. ## MAA members were voting to elect a 26-member executive comprising the president, general secretary, two joint secretaries, treasurer, and 18 committee members. Actor-producer Vishnu Manchu and actor Prakash Raj are the two contenders battling for the post of MAA president. ## Polling, which began at 8 AM at the Jubilee Hills Public School, was progressing smoothly. It was to end at 2 PM but was extended by an hour by the election officer, Krishna Mohan. There are a total of 925 MAA members and out of them, 883 members are eligible to cast their votes. Of them, 665 had cast their ballots. The counting is likely to continue till 8 PM, when the results are slated to be declared.## Retired employees of the Telangana Cooperative Society made elaborate arrangements for the polling in adherence with Covid-19 protocols. As many as 50 policemen and women were deployed as part of the security measures. The two parties have had a friendly camaraderie on the polling day as the two contenders battling for the post of MAA president shook hands and embraced each other to declare that they are all one. ## Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan was one of the first to cast his votes. Talking to reporters, the Jana Sena president declined to name the panel he votes for. He said MAA elections would have no bearing on the friendship between his brother Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu. Pawan said the film industry will not split due to MAA polls.## Megastar and MAA founding president Chiranjeevi said he had cast his vote as per his conscience. He said that whenever the MAA elections were held, the same acrimony was witnessed and called for putting an end to it. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi's brother Naga Babu told reporters that he cast his vote for the Prakash Raj panel. ## Genelia D'Souza, who had been staying away from Telugu films following her marriage to Bollywood actor Ritesh Deshmukh, also came to Hyderabad to cast her vote.
