Nandamuri Kalyan Ram Announces His First Pan-India Movie Titled - Devil: The British Secret Agent

Hyderabad, July 5, 2021: On his 43rd birthday today, Telugu star Nandamuri Kalyan Ram announced his first Pan-India film. The actor will be starring in & as Devil, a dark mystery film directed by Naveen Medaram and produced by Abhishek Nama under the Abhishek Pictures banner. ## The film, written by Pushpa writer Srikanth Vissa, will depict an unwritten chapter from history with Nandamuri portraying a secret agent named Devil. The makers also released the first look poster of Kalyan Ram from the film, in which he can be seen in a blazer and waistcoat paired with a dhoti and he holds a short gun in his hand. ## The actor underwent a remarkable transformation to play the British Secret Agent and his dressing and look are in perfect sync with the trend in the 40s. The story dates back to 1945 and is set in the backdrop of Madras Residency Of British India. ## Harshavardhan Rameshwar scores music for the film, which will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada languages. Devil is the 21st film of Kalyan Ram of his career. For his 20th film, NKR reunites with "118" director, KV Guhan. Telangana Film Chamber Requests To Telugu Producers To Stop OTT Releases Until October

Hyderabad, July 3, 2021: Telangana film chamber of commerce has expressed concern over Telugu producers opting for the direct-to-digital release of their films amid the covid-19 pandemic. As per reports, one of the leading production houses of Telugu industry, Suresh Productions is reportadly considering its most-awaited films like Narappa, Virata Parvam, among others for direct OTT release. ## Raising concern over the latest development in the Telugu industry, the Telangana film chamber has requested the producers to stop the OTT release of their films until October. The film chamber is hopeful that theaters will be fully operational by October this year. The film chamber has warned them for a future course of action if producers continue to release their films on OTT. ## However, the chamber headed by Hon. Secretary Sunil Narang, said that "If the theaters do not open by October, you can consider OTT release". This decision has been taken keeping the larger interest of the entire Telugu Film industry, which has been hit hard by the covid-19 pandemic. ## The film chamber also appealed to the Andhra Pradesh Government to immediately make a decision about ticket rates. "The survival of theaters is at stake with such low rates. Theaters will close and many will lose employment". Hyderabad, July 2, 2021: SS Rajamouli's period action drama film, RRR, is not going to be delayed anymore. The magnum opus has been planned for a grand theatrical release on October 13 this year in 5 Indian languages, and there is no change in the release date. ## Recently, RRR makers gave an official update that apart from two songs, the shoot of Jr. NTR and Ram Charan fronted has wrapped up. Now, it is said the final leg will commence from July 10 as the entire film has been planned to wrap up by the first week of August. Hyderabad, June 28, 2021: Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to be directed by Mohan Raja for the first time in the Telugu remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Lucifer, starring superstar Mohanlal. While the original Lucifer was a political drama film, the Telugu remake is said to be gone through a lot of changes to appeal to the mass audience. ## Mohan Raja has said to be re-worked on the script and now the Telugu version will have new flashback episodes where Chiranjeevi will have a romantic story. Hyderabad, June 28, 2021: A few days after announcing his Telugu debut with Sekhar Kammula's trilingual movie, Dhanush seems to be getting more interested to work with Telugu directors. The national award-winning actor has reportadly signed his second Telugu movie with Tholi Prema director Venky Atluri. ## According to Deccan Chronicle, producer Suryadevara Nagavamsi has been planning to make a trilingual film for a long time and he has found this potential in Dhanush. Nagavamsi feels a trilingual film would do justice to the script, given Dhanush's popularity in the South and in Bollywood. ## It is said that Dhanush has agreed to work on the Atluri film. It will be Karnan actor's second back-to-back trilingual movie, to be made simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, after Sekhar Kammula's film.
