I Failed To See The Opportunity In 'The Dirty Picture': Kangana Ranaut
Mumbai, May 2, 2021: Actress Kangana Ranaut, who made her debut with Anurag Basu's Gangster, has completed 15 years, and one can easily say that she is one of the biggest stars of the country now. She has made a name for herself with movies like Fashion, Tanu Weds Manu, Queen, Manikarnika, and many others. ## However, despite choosing some of the best movies, Kangana says she failed to see opportunity in Vidya Balan starrer "The Dirty Picture", which she had refused when it was offered to her. Vidya Balan won the National Award for the Best Actress for her role in the film that went on to become one of the iconic movies in Bollywood. ## In an interview with TOI, Kangana said when asked about a film that she regrets turning down. "Not really. But I think 'The Dirty Picture', just like I always said, turned out to be so wonderful! But I don't think I would have done it better than Vidya Balan because she was terrific in that. But yes, sometimes I feel that I didn't see the potential in that film".## On completing 15 years in cinema, Kangana launched her own production house called "Manikarnika Films". She also announced the first project under the banner, "Tiku Weds Sheru", which will she Kangana to make her digital debut as a producer. Going forward, the actress said that she wants to be a successful director, the top director in the country. ## "Well, for now, I am very happy being an actor and I definitely want to become a very successful director, the top director in the country. I also want to be a producer, a good enough producer, because I am not a money person. But I want to make good content and I want to be someone who backs good content", she added. ## Meanwhile, Kangana is currently waiting for the release of her upcoming biopic drama film, Thalaivi. She movie was scheduled for April 23 release but postponed indefinitely due to the covid-19 pandemic. She also has Dhaakad and Tejas in the pipeline. ## Stay tuned...
