'The Kashmir Files' To Release In Theaters Only, Confirms Director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri
Mumbai, October 9 - Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has been on a mission to reveal the hard-hitting truth of Indian history through his filmmaking. The National award-winning director's "The Tashkent Files" was about the mysterious death of former Indian prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The movie got a positive response from the audiences and it was declared a box office hit.## Vivek Agnihotri is now gearing up for the release of the second film in the series "The Kashmir Files", which tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. The film has been ready to release for a long time now. There were reports that "The Kashmir Files" will skip theatrical release in order to make it a direct-to-digital release. However, Agnihotri has now confirmed that it will have only a theatrical release first as they waited for a whole one year to release in theaters. ## Agnihotri was responding to a Twitter user who is eagerly waiting to see the film. It is produced by Vivek Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi, Abhishek Agarwal, and Sarahna. ## The movie is written by Agnihotri, who finished the script of Kashmir files after extensive research on the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus in 1990. He was stationed at an undisclosed location in the Himalayas to complete the script. On 14 August 2019, Agnihotri announced the film with its first look poster saying, "the film will be an honest investigation into one of the biggest human tragedies".## Stay tuned...
