Producer Firoz Nadiadwala Teases Hera Pheri - Welcome Crossover In The Future

Mumbai, June 24 - Producer Firoz Nadiadwala has confirmed that Hera Pheri 3 is in the development with the Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, and the announcement for the same will be made soon. The producer in the same interview also teased a blockbuster crossover between Hera Pheri and Welcome. ## According to reports, producer Firoz Nadiadwala had attempted to make a crossover film almost a decade ago, with his two iconic films - Hera Pheri and Welcome. Producer Nadiadwala in an interview with Bollywood Hungama has confirmed the same without going into details. ## "Yes, and I don't want to go into details. However, for a crossover, the characters have to be like that. They should be lovable and only then does it work. Fortunately, we have had lovable characters in our films like Uday, Majnu, Baburao, Raju, Shyam", he said. ## When asked if the Welcome-Hera Pheri crossover film be made in the future, Nidadwala said, "Yes, and that too in a big way. The goings-on in the narrative will be justified, with common sense and logic in place. But as I said before, you can attempt crossover only when you have the characters. The movie scored a fantastic 8.18 crores net and recorded the 7th biggest fifth week in Hindi of all time. ## The Anees Bazmee-directed is also ruling the Netflix viewership as it was the number 1 Indian movie on the streamer last week. Mumbai, June 21 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be seen on the big screen for the first time since 2018 in the upcoming multilingual movie "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect". He has played the cameo role in this biographical drama film, headlined by R. Madhavan. ## Written and directed by R. Madhavan, the movie is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), who was falsely accused of espionage. The story spans Narayanan's days as a graduate student at Princeton University, before exploring his work as a scientist and the false espionage charges placed upon him.## Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya, who is also playing a cameo role in the film, didn't charge a single penny for their roles. R. Madhavan, while promoting the movie in New Delhi recently, confirmed the same. ## "I mentioned about 'Rocketry' to Shah Rukh Khan sahab when I worked with him in 'Zero'... he vividly remembered it that during one of his birthday parties he asked me about the film's status and expressed his desire to be a part of the film. I thought he was joking. Two days later my wife Sarita asked me to thank Khan saab for his kind words. I dropped a message to Khan Saab's manager asking her to convey my gratitude to him and I instantly got a text from the manager saying, 'khan sahab dates puch rhe hai shoot ki'.. and that's how he became a part of our film", he said. ## Madhavan further said that Suriya used to fly to Mumbai for the film's shoot on his own money. "The two (SRK and Suriya) did not charge a single penny for their work in the film. They did not charge anything for caravans, costumes, and assistants. In fact, Suriya flew out to shoot in Mumbai with his crew on his own money. He did not charge for the flights or for the dialogue writer who translated his lines in Tamil", he added. ## Madhavan will be seen playing the role of Nambi Narayanan in the film, which is slated to release on July 1.
