Very Few Filmmakers Give Women Characters an Equal Footing in Their Movies: Mrunal Thakur

Actress Mrunal Thakur feels that there are not many filmmakers in the industry who treats women equally in their movies. According to her, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is one of those filmmakers who treats female characters in their films well.## "There are very few filmmakers who envision a story that gives its women characters an equal footing. In the best of Rakeysh's works, one can see how beautifully he layers his women. Kartik Aaryan, on his 30th birthday today, unveiled the first look of his next thriller movie, titled, Dhamaka. He will be teaming up with the "Neerja" director Ram Madhvani for the first time. Dhamaka film is reportedly a Hindi remake of the 2013's South Korean movie 'The Terror Live' and Kartik will essay the role of a journalist. In the first look shared by Kartik, the actor is seen sporting long hair, dressed in a suit, looking outside the window as the bridge is burning. Actor Sonu Sood, who had earlier announced that he was penning his experience of helping migrant workers during the lockdown period into a book, has now titled his book, 'I Am No Messiah'. The book will be written in the first person, revealing the emotional challenges the actor faced while going all-out in helping the migrant workers. ## "People have been very kind and have lovingly named me a messiah. But I really do believe that I am no messiah. I simply do what my heart tells me to. It is our responsibility as human beings to be compassionate and help each other", Sonu shared.## The actor has not only helped migrant workers to reach their homes but also started an initiative to provide them jobs which they lost due to the covid-19 pandemic. ## "I want to thank god for making me a catalyst in helping the migrants.
