NXT North American Championship Match Made Official For NXT Spring Breakin' 2022. ## At NXT Stand & Deliver, Carmelo Hayes defended the North American Championship in a Ladder Match. However, he couldn't retain the title as Cameron Grimes would walk away as the champion. ## On the April 19th edition of NXT 2.0, Hayes defeated Santos Escobar thanks to outside interference from a couple of Tony D'Angelo's associates. AJ Styles will step back into the ring with his WrestleMania 38 opponent in the hopes of disbarring the self-appointed judge Edge. ## Since his initial run-in with Styles at The Road to WrestleMania, Edge has revealed a more sinister side, judging the WWE Universe and Styles himself atop the "Mountain of Omnipotence." ## The Rated-R Superstar's message has already resonated with Damien Priest, as the former United States Champion surprisingly cost Styles his match against Edge on The Grandest Stage of Them All. ## Now, they are all set to run it back at WrestleMania Backlash. A new match has been added to this week’s WWE NXT card, and it will also feature two stars from the women’s division colliding. ## As announced, Sarray and Tiffany Stratton look to settle their heated rivalry when they square off Tuesday night. Stratton picked up a questionable victory in their first encounter after attacking The Warrior of the Sun backstage and ripping off her grandmother’s necklace before she could make her way down to the ring. ## Their issues were far from over, as Sarray made her presence felt at ringside to cost Stratton her match against Ivy Nile. ## Already announced for the show is Tatum Paxley Vs. WWE NXT star LA Knight appeared in a dark match prior to tonight’s SmackDown in a managerial role. ## LA Knight appeared in a dark segment, wearing a suit and cutting a promo before tonight's Smackdown taping. He stated saying that he was creating Knight Model Management with his first client being Mace. ## Mace then defeated Erik of the Viking Raiders with a leg lariat. This was Mace’s first match on TV since the November 21 edition of SmackDown, where he competed in a Black Friday battle royal that was won by Sami Zayn. ## This was more or less a tryout segment for Knight in a potential manager role. ## Other recent call-ups to the main roster include Marcel Barthel (under the name Ludwig Kaiser), Raquel Gonzalez (now Raquel Rodriguez), and Tommaso Ciampa. ## Ummm....hmm...WHAT?!?! Two Matches Announced For 4/22 WWE SmackDown

Following a humiliating defeat to Johnny Knoxville in an Anything Goes Match at WrestleMania, Sami Zayn looked to revamp his image and regain some credibility by challenging Drew McIntyre. ## However, when it looked as if The SmackDown Warrior was going to emerge victorious with the Claymore Kick, The Master Strategist made a quick exit from the ring and through the crowd to give McIntyre the win by count-out. ## On the April 15th edition of SmackDown, McIntyre got his chance to finish, but this time too, Drew won the match via count-out. ## After running away from Drew McIntyre for the second straight week, Sami Zayn will have nowhere to hide when he faces The Scottish Warrior in a Lumberjack Match next Friday. ## Additionally, Angel will face Madcap Moss in singles competition. Roman Reigns is highly regarded by industry veterans, his heel run has been regarded as one of the greatest character arcs of professional wrestling. ## Following his return in August 2020, Reigns was repackaged as a new villainous character, "The Tribal Chief", which has generally been met with acclaim by fans and critics alike. ## At WrestleMania 38, Reigns added one more accolade to his accomplishment when he defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship for the 4th time and also became the first superstar to hold both the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship simultaneously. ## Now, a lot of fans digging into the question that what would be Roman's next step in WWE going forward, is he losing the title any time soon or what?, well, we can make you look over his upcoming schedule. ## WWE recently, dropped an announcement, apparently advertising Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre for their upcoming tours in London on April 29 and Paris on April 30. ## WrestlingNews is also reporting that they are scheduled for matches in May, which likely means that they will also wrestle at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view. ## Last October, WrestlingNews.co reported that there were no plans for Roman Reigns to drop the title anytime soon and now they have followed up the report stating that the idea is to push him on the level of names like Hulk Hogan and Bruno Sammartino. ## As of today, there are still no plans for him to lose the title anytime soon.
