WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns has seemingly broke up with Paul Heyman. ## After taking a week away on a night that saw Brock Lesnar wreak more havoc on the blue brand by attacking Sami Zayn yet again and hunting down WWE Official Adam Pearce to tell him a rather threatening story, Universal Champion Roman Reigns returned to Friday Night SmackDown. ## As noted, The Bloodline was also noticeably disrupted. For a moment, it seemed as if Special Council Paul Heyman actually began advocating for his one-time client Lesnar, even going so far as to say that The Conqueror may be the “future” Universal Champion. ## On tonight's episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns emerged out in the ring along with Paul Heyman and The Usos. Roman asked if Paul knew that Brock would be back at SummerSlam? Did he know that Brock would be at Madison Square Garden? Did he know that the suspension would be lifted? ## In the end, Reigns declared that Heyman is fired and dropped him down with a Superman punch. Updated Match Card For WWE Day 1 (2022)

As of the December 13th episode of Raw, 5 matches are officially added to WWE's next PPV event "Day 1." ## At "WWE Day 1," Big E will defend the WWE Championship in a Fatal 4-Way match against Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley. Plush, Universal Champion Roman Reigns will once again go head-to-head with The Beast when he battled Brock Lesnar in a highly anticipated rematch for the Universal Title. ## Elsewhere, The Miz and The WWE Hall Of Famer Edge will settle their beef at this event. Becky Lynch will vie Liv Morgan in a championship showdown. The Usos(c) Vs. New Day is also set to happen for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship. ## WWE Day 1 is scheduled to take place on January 1, 2022, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, and will be the company's first PPV event to take place on New Year's Day. ## The event is the first PPV to have the New Year's theme since New Year's Revolution in 2007. Bobby Lashley Added To The WWE Championship Match At WWE Day 1

Former WWE champion Bobby Lashley has officially earned the right to be in the WWE title match at WWE Day 1. ## Updating the current lineup, At WWE Day 1, Big E will finally defend the WWE Championship against Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens ... AND Bobby Lashley in a Triple Threat Match. ## Back in the days, Rollins announced on Raw that he would get his one-on-one chance—earned by winning a grueling Fatal 4-Way Ladder Match—at the opening ceremony. Later on the same night, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville negotiated a deal and an extra wrinkle was thrown in as Kevin Owens was told he would be inserted into the match if he could defeat Big E one-on-one. ## As would expect, Seth Rollins was ringside during Big E vs. Kevin Owens and held himself back from causing any disqualification, but Owens baited Rollins by attacking him while he was on commentary and The Visionary just couldn't help but retaliate. As a result, Kevin Owens was declared the winner of the match and added to the WWE Championship bout at Day 1. ## After returning with an attack on the original three competitors, Lashley sought to join the match. WWE Officials Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce obliged but with one caveat, Lashley would have to beat Owens, Rollins, and Big in one night. Roman Reigns didn't attend the December 10th episode of SmackDown, but coming up next week, he will be back the brand. ## Last week on SmackDown, Roman Reigns retained the Universal Title against Sami Zayn after Brock Lesnar assaulted him with an F5. Moments after the bell rang in the subsequent Universal Title Match, The Head of the Table immediately hit his completely war-torn challenger with a Spear before making Zayn tap out to the Guillotine. ## According to the report, WWE is currently booking Reigns to be as indestructible as Brock Lesnar was. ## He is being built as a monster. He is booked to cause the same destruction which Brock Lesnar would do. Roman is not going to lose and he is going to continue winning until someone dethrones him. Roman Reigns’ Best WWE Moments Of 2021

In my opinion, Roman Reigns is the best wrestler of 2020-21 and hopefully for many upcoming year as well. ## Reigns has held the WWE Universal Title for more than 467 days and still counting. He won the title by defeating previous champion "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman, who Reigns pinned, in a No Holds Barred Triple Threat match at Payback on August 30, 2020, in Orlando, Florida. ## Roman Reigns is now only behind Brock Lesnar who claims to be the longest single-reigning WWE Universal champion at 503 days. ## Since winning the Universal Title at Payback, Reigns had defended the title against several Top stars in WWE. His first title defense came against his cousin Jey Uso at Clash Of Champion. In his second championship defense at the Friday Night SmackDown Season 2 Premiere, Reigns defeated Braun Strowman by technical submission to retain the title. ## Reigns successfully defended the title against Owens in a TLC match at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs on December 20 and a Last Man Standing match at the Royal Rumble on January 31, 2021, respectively. Reigns then retained his title against Daniel Bryan at both the Elimination Chamber and Fastlane events. ## In the main event of night 2 of WrestleMania 37 on April 11, Reigns defeated Bryan and Edge in a triple threat match to retain the Universal Championship after assistance from Jey. Reigns' next challenger for the championship was Cesaro, whom Reigns defeated at WrestleMania Backlash on May 16. ## Reigns would once again defend the title against Edge at Money in the Bank, where Reigns retained with the assistance of Seth Rollins. After the match, Reigns was confronted by a returning John Cena. Over the following weeks, Cena challenged Reigns for a title match at SummerSlam, and after initially rejecting Cena's challenge, a match was made official for the two at the event. At the event, Reigns defeated Cena to retain the title.## Shortly after, Reigns would begin feuding with Finn Bálor. The two would eventually face each other for the Universal Championship on the September 3 episode of Smackdown but Reigns would retain the title following interference from The Usos. ## At Extreme Rules, Reigns once again defeated Finn Balor as "The Demon".
