On the morning of June 23, 2021, Kushida took to Twitter and explains why his match against Kyle O'Reilly was special. ## The dream match lived up to the hype with both competitors treating the audience to a skillful exhibition of counters, reversals, and hard-hitting strikes. The match would see Kyle O'Reilly walk away with the victory. ## Kushida issued the following statement ## "In 2017, around this time, I was considering retirement after every match. I was concerned about my mental and physical health after every match. I wrestled back and forth between Japan and the United States twice a month. ## During that time, I sometimes suffered from severe abdominal pain after matches. I crouched on the floor with a cold sweat and had no choice but to wait for the pain to pass. I had to insert a gastro camera down my throat at the hospital to examine my stomach. But the doctors couldn't find anything wrong. ## The doctor's diagnosis was that my autonomic nerves must have been disturbed. My level of this abdominal pain wasn't normal. And, if it continued, I couldn't wrestle anymore. I knew it wasn't an exaggeration. And I knew that my wrestling career could be over at any time. ## I had a match with Kyle O'Reilly at that time. It was four years ago in London. At that point, it was rumored that Kyle O'Reilly would soon sign a contract with WWE. After our match, I talked to him directly. He told me his honest intentions. At that time, I thought it would be great to have a match against him in the WWE some day. I knew my professional wrestling life wouldn't last forever. ## So Yesterday was special. WWE/NXT universe! Drew McIntyre squares off against Riddle in a hard-hitting matchup to earn a spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. ## Check Out The Full Match Recap: ## After falling short inside Hell in a Cell in what was his last chance to dethrone WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, McIntyre can bounce back in a big way when he faces Riddle tonight in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match. ## We go to the ring and Riddle comes out to take on Drew McIntyre for a chance to be in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. We go to the commercial break. Back from the commercial break as Riddle awaits, the music hits as the former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre heads to the ring. ## The bell rings, Drew and Riddle locks in, Drew backs him down into the turnbuckle, Riddle separates and gets back to the middle. Riddle breaks another hold from Drew. A front hold lock position from McIntyre. Riddle with a massive chop into the ribs, McIntyre responds with a Massive Clothesline and then follows up a Headbutt. McIntyre with a Slam followed by a beautiful Suplex for near fall. ## McIntyre drives Riddle back into the turnbuckle and runs painful chops, Riddle back to the riddle and gets the speed, but McIntyre responds with an Elbow. This Raw has been very enjoyable. Qualifying matches make the show better. ## Riddle with knees to the ribs followed by a Gutrwrench suplex and he holds on but Drew reverses with a Gutwrench backbreaker. Riddle goes to the apron. Drew punches Riddle off the apron. Drew goes to the floor and Riddle pushes Drew into the ring post and Riddle with a Northern Lights suplex on the floor. We go to a commercial. ## Back from the commercial break...Riddle exploded McIntyre with a massive Suplex. However, Drew McIntyre responds with a back-to-back Belly-to-Belly Suplex followed by a Backbreaker in the addition. ## Riddle out of nowhere with q quick rollup, but McIntyre is able to retreat, McIntyre shifts gear and drives Riddle face-first into the canvas with a slam. McIntyre is pushing himself to the obsolete limit, Drew gets Riddle on the top of the turnbuckle, both have a terrific position, Riddle puts Drew in the tree of woe but Drew pulls himself up and hits a German Superplex. Meanwhile, Randy Orton appears at the entrance, Riddle is now elevated to see him. Back from the commercial, Randy Orton is still ringside, meanwhile, Riddle has a Powerbomb landed followed by a knee to the face for near fall. ## McIntyre with a driver and follows up a jump, but Riddle clearly caught him in the middle and switches into the Submission move, however, McIntyre breaks it with a Future Shock DDT for near fall.Drew McIntyre prepares for Claymore kick, but Riddle collapses, he is still recovering Drew is up while Riddle escapes. Riddle with a jumping kick and both men are down. Riddle with a kick and he pulls Drew into the corner. Riddle goes up top for Moonsault but rolls through. ## Riddle avoids the Claymore and Riddle with a sleeper and body scissors. Drew escapes but Riddle with a jumping knee. This year mark the 25th anniversary of the film, "Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi". ## Back in 1996 an Indian film, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, was produced and starred Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. The film also featured former WWE wrestlers "Crush" AKA Brian Lee as "The Undertaker". He also portrayed an impostor version of Taker in 1994. ## The movie was the 6th highest-grossing movie of the year 1996. It was the fourth installment in the Khiladi series. ## Upon completing 25th anniversary of the film, Kumar shared a photo along with a caption that reads: “Raise your hand if you have defeated The Undertaker!” ## “A hilarious note to mark 25 years to the release of #KhiladiyonKaKhiladi tomorrow!” Kumar wrote. “A fun fact though: it was wrestler Brian Lee who played The Undertaker in the film.” ## The post grabbed the attention of the actual Undertaker, Mark Calaway who responded with the following comment: “Ha!
