List Of All WWE United States Champions

Here is the full list of all WWE United States Champions.## The WWE United States Championship was originally created in 1975 as the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship. It was one of several regional championships promoted by the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). In 1985, the NWA granted exclusive rights to the championship to Jim Crockett Promotions, which was later acquired by Ted Turner and renamed World Championship Wrestling (WCW).## In 2001, WWE purchased WCW and its assets, including the United States Championship. WWE renamed the title the WCW United States Championship and defended it on the WCW brand until November 2001, when it unified the WCW United States Championship and WWF Intercontinental Championship into a single title called the Undisputed WWF Championship.## In July 2003, WWE reactivated the United States Championship as the WWE United States Championship. It has since become one of WWE's most prestigious secondary championships. The championship has been defended by some of the biggest names in WWE history, including Ric Flair, Lex Luger, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Eddie Guerrero, Booker T, John Cena, and Randy Orton.## The United States Championship is currently defended on the SmackDown brand. Logan Paul is the current champion, having defeated Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel on November 4, 2023. ## WWE United States Champions No. Champion Date Event Reign 1 Harley Race January 1, 1975 House show 1 2 Johnny Valentine July 3, 1975 House show 1 — Vacated October 4, 1975 — — 3 Terry Funk November 9, 1975 House show 1 4 Paul Jones November 27, 1975 House show 1 5 Blackjack Mulligan March 13, 1976 House show 1 6 Paul Jones October 16, 1976 House show 2 — Blackjack Mulligan November 28, 1976 House show 2 — Paul Jones December 9, 1976 House show 3 7 Blackjack Mulligan December 15, 1976 House show 2(3) 8 Bobo Brazil July 7, 1977 House show 1 9 Ric Flair July 29, 1977 House show 1 10 Ricky Steamboat October 21, 1977 House show 1 11 Blackjack Mulligan January 1, 1978 House show 3(4) 12 Mr. Wrestling March 19, 1978 House show 1 13 Ric Flair April 9, 1978 House show 2 14 Ricky Steamboat December 17, 1978 House show 2 15 Ric Flair April 1, 1979 House show 3 — Vacated August 12, 1979 — — 16 Jimmy Snuka September 1, 1979 House show 1 17 Ric Flair April 19, 1980 House show 4 † Greg Valentine July 26, 1980 House show 1 † Ric Flair November 24, 1980 House show 5 18 Roddy Piper January 27, 1981 House show 1 19 Wahoo McDaniel August 8, 1981 House show 1 — Vacated September 8, 1981 — — 20 Sgt. WWE Playlist: Paul Heyman's Most Shocking Moments

In honor of Paul Heyman’s 20th anniversary in WWE, look back at some of his greatest moments.## Paul Heyman as the professional wrestling manager has done a great number of things to be elite version of himself. He is signed to WWE, appearing on the SmackDown brand, where he currently serves as the on-screen "special counsel" of the current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.## He has shunned the moniker "Manager" for years, comparing it to WWE labeling its performers "WWE Superstars" instead of just "professional wrestlers." Heyman was known as Brock Lesnar's "Advocate" and has opted for "Special Counsel" for Reigns.## Heyman owned and was the creative force behind the Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) promotion from 1993 until its closure in 2001. Before running and owning ECW, he was a manager under the ring name Paul E.## Dangerously in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and other promotions. He is the co-owner of the Looking4Larry Agency in New York City and was personally named one of Advertising Age's Top 100 Global Marketers.## In WWE, Heyman currently performs alongside Roman Reigns and has managed or "advocated" for a record six WWE Champions, including Brock Lesnar, Big Show, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, and CM Punk. Critics have praised his abilities at managing and on the microphone. Heyman has also competed sporadically in matches, including the WWE Championship main event of the 2002 Rebellion pay-per-view.## ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk For More Upates...
