WWE Royal Rumble 2022 Results: Bobby Lashley Wins The WWE Title

Brock Lesnar has been pinned by Bobby Lashley. ## At Day 1, Lesnar won his sixth WWE Championship, defeating Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley, and defending champion Big E, who he pinned. ## Later it was confirmed he would defend his newly won championship against Lashley at the Royal Rumble. During the match Lesnar backed Lashley into the corner to break the Hurtlock and the referee was disoriented as well. Brock got Lashley up for the F5 and he hit the referee. Brock covered but the referee is down. Roman Reigns speared Brock Lesnar. ## Roman wanted the title belt and Paul handed it to him. Roman hit Brock with the belt and then tossed the belt to the mat. Kayla Braxton is your host and she is joined by Jerry Lawler, Booker T, Kevin Patrick, and Peter Rosenberg. ## Everybody in the building is looking excited about the event. Kevin says he is looking forward to Brock Lesnar versus Bobby Lashley. Peter says he is looking forward to Brock and Bobby as well. ## WWE shows off a video package to run through the card for the Royal Rumble. Sonya joins the pannel. She says, She is ready and she is going to step in where needed. ## Sonya says when the jacket is on she is a WWE official and no one can touch her. She says this is a new time. ## Sonya says there was a referee who told her the match was going to call it down the middle. He was in Naomi’s pocket. She is in the Royal Rumble to make sure things go according to plan. ## We take a look at AJ Styles’ debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble. At Royal Rumble, Superstar spouses will join forces in battle when Edge & Beth Phoenix go to war against The Miz & Maryse. ## At Day 1, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix appeared to aid her husband and fellow Hall of Famer, Edge, when he was being attacked by Maryse while he was engaged in a match with The Miz; Edge ultimately won the match. ## On the following Monday on Raw to express their outrage over the chaotic outcome at the Premium Live Event, their WWE Hall of Fame adversaries opted to confront them in the ring and issued a challenge for a mixed tag team match between them. ## Edge & Beth Phoenix Vs. The Miz & Maryse Full Match ## Mixed Tag Team Match: Edge and Beth Phoenix Vs. Miz and Maryse Beth and Maryse are starting off the match... and Maryse goes to the floor and Beth follows her. Beth drags Maryse to safety and Beth lets go so Maryse falls on her husband. Maryse tags The Miz. Edge punches Miz while he was yelling at Beth. Edge with an Irish whip and cloth. Edge with more Irish whip and forearm.## Miz and Maryse grab Edge by the hair with an Irish whip and Miz send Edge to the floor. Edge with a rollup for the duck and Edge nearly falls. Miz with a reality check for a near fall. Edge and the impeller DDT with kicks. Miz is sent to the floor and Maryse walks in but Beth tags in with a clothesline and back elbow. Beth with a cloth and she slams Beth's head into the mat.## Beth with a spinning side hits for a near fall when Miz saves and pushes Maryse to safety. Beth bumps into Midge and Midge asks Beth if she wants a piece of him. Beth catches The Miz on her shoulder and takes him down with a Powerbomb. While Edge is up he performs an Elbow drop for near fall. Beth is on the apron and she is taken off by Maryse. Maryse sends her into the steel steps. ## Maryse with a Hurricane Rana off the top, While, The Miz performs with a Skull Crusher for near fall. Both are shocked, Maryse and The Miz are looking for a Double Skull Crusher, but don't get to land. ## Finally, Beth and Edge with a double spear to The Miz and then Edge and Beth with a double spear to Miz. The Road to WrestleMania begins at Royal Rumble. 30-women will collide inside the square circle to choose the world championship to challenge for at WrestleMania 38; the women can choose the Raw Women's Championship or SmackDown Women's Championship. ## The match begins with just two women in the ring. Every 90 seconds, a new Superstar enters the fray. Elimination only occurs when a Superstar has gone over the top rope and both feet have touched the floor. This continues until there is just one woman left standing as the winner of the Royal Rumble Match. ## 30-Woman Royal Rumble Full Match ## --The 30-women's Royal Rumble match is starting off with Sasha Banks being the #1, while, Melina being the #2. ## The bell rings, Melina is showing off some athletics, Melina with a couple of punches, but she is eliminated by Banks. Tamina is #3, Banks takes down Tamina off the apron before she even gets in, Banks with a Minora off the apron. Tamina finally gets in and she runs through some offenses. ## --Kelly Kelly is the #4 to make the walk. ## The bell rings, Melina is showing off some athletics, Melina with a couple of punches, but she is eliminated by Banks. Tamina is #3, Banks takes down Tamina off the apron before she even gets in, Banks with a Minora off the apron. Big Time Becks is about to put her Raw Women’s Title on the line against an absolute force of nature when she battles Doudrop at Royal Rumble. ## WWE Royal Rumble 2022 event will take place on Saturday, January 29, 2022 live from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis. The event begins at 8 p.m. ET and a kickoff show one hour prior to the main card at 7 p.m. ET. ## WWE Royal Rumble 2022: Becky Lynch Vs. Doudrop Full Match ## They lock up and Doudrop sends Becky to the mat. Becky in Side Head Lock with Waist Lock. Doudrop sends Becky to the ropes and Becky shows some frustration. Becky with a waist lock and uses her rear end to make Doudrop escape. Doudrop with a shoulder tackle and he sets up for the cross body but Becky drops to the floor.## Doudrop misses a shoulder with a kick when Becky tries to return to the ring. Doudrop with a press slam to Becky. Becky avoids Dewdrop's splash but with Doudrop head butt. Becky rushes to the floor to escape the weather bomb. Becky drags Doudrop to the mat and Dewdrop kicks Becky into the ringside barrier.## Doudrop sends Becky back into the ring. Becky with a forearm but Doudrop rests on her feet and is joined by a shoulder tackle. Doudrop with a back Senton and Becky goes to the floor. Doudrop goes for a cannonball but Becky walks and Doudrop hits the ring steps.## Becky kicks Doudrop as they return to the ring. Becky with more kicks and a rear chin lock. Becky tries for an Irish Whip but Doudrop blocks her. Doudrop with an Irish whip. Lynch comes out of the turnbuckle but Doudrop catches him. Becky goes for a sleeper. Doudrop returns Becky to the corner to break the hold. Doudrop misses a shoulder and hits the ring post. Becky with a missile dropkick to a near fall.## Doudrop crushes Lynch with a massive Cannonball into the corner, Doudrop goes up to the top for a Hip toss, but a great counter by Lynch. Becky stomping on Doudrop's face while applying the armbar.## Becky Lynch with a leg drop over the top of the turnbuckle around the neck of Doudrop. Lynch is looking for the Manhandle slam, but Doudrop counters with a slam for near fall. ## Doudrop goes up to the top, this time Becky Lynch follows up and lands a Manhandle Slam from the top to win the match. ## WWE Royal Rumble 2022: Becky Lynch Vs. The record-breaking reign of Roman Reigns, now the longest-reigning Universal Champion in history, is set to make another title defense against Seth Rollins. ## Their title showdown at the Royal Rumble event on Saturday, Jan. 29, will be their first collision since October 2019 on an edition of SmackDown, and it will also represent the first time that they’ll be waging war for the Universal Championship in a singles match. ## Royal Rumble 2022 PLE will take place on Saturday, January 29, 2022 live from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis. The event begins at 8 p.m. ET and a kickoff show one hour prior to the main card at 7 p.m. ET. ## WWE Royal Rumble 2022: Roman Reigns Vs. Seth Rollins Full Match ## We kick things off with Roman Reigns Vs. Seth Rollins. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is the first to make the walk. He is followed by the challenger Seth Rollins. He is coming with Shield's music. Seth Rollins is marching through the crowd the same way, The Shield would do. ## The bell rings, Roman with a waist lock, while, Rollins gets out with a standing switch, Rollins is now pounding away Roman into the corner. Rollins with a sling Blad and then tosses Reigns over the top rope. ## Rollins with back-to-back Suicide dive to send Roman back to the barricade. Both get back to the ring, Rollins is on the top, he attempts a knee, but Rollins instead with a forearm to drive him into the mat. Rollins on the apron, Roman gets to land a Driveby. ## Roman Reigns goes for the Superman Punch, but Rollins instead with Sheild Powerbomb into the announce desk. Rollins quickly gets Roman back into the ring, and connects with a Frog Splash for the cover 1..2..but kicks out. ## This is going interesting, Seth Rollins hits a buckle bomb followed by a massive Curb Stomp for near fall. Rollins is shocked, he prepares for another Curb Stomp, but this time Roman Reigns turns it down with a massive clothesline.## Roman Reigns with Powerbomb for near fall. Reigns out with range starts landing punches, while Rollins quickly gets Roman's arm locked in, Reigns powers out.## Roman Reigns with a Superman punch for the cover, 1..2...but kicks out. Rollins is barely hanging out, He is outside of the ring. Reigns run and get to land a massive Spear on Rollins. Roman sends him back into the ring.## Roman roars for another Spear, but this time Rollins with a pedigree counter for near fall. A loud burn it down chant, Rollins is gearing up for the Stomp, but Roman avoids it and connects with a Spear to send Rollins into the mat.## Roman Reigns drags himself for the cover, but he sees Rollins laughing, Roman with a Guillotine choke now, Rollins is in trouble, Rollins powers out, but once again Roman gets him down.## Rollins tries to reach the rope but almost passes out but manages to grab the rope. Reigns refuses to break the hold and was disqualified.## WWE Royal Rumble 2022: Roman Reigns Vs. At Royal Rumble 2022, WWE champion Brock Lesnar defends the championship against Bobby Lashley. ## At Day 1, Brock Lesnar defeated Bobby Lashley, Seth "Freakin" Rollins, Kevin Owens, and defending champion Big E in a fatal five-way match to win Raw's WWE Championship. ## Two days later, Bobby Lashley stormed back onto Raw and re-established himself as the next challenger to The Conqueror by emerging victorious in a Fatal 4-Way Match against Owens, Rollins, and Big E, the very match originally scheduled for WWE Day 1. Lashley earned the opportunity. ## Royal Rumble 2022 PLE will take place on Saturday, January 29, 2022 live from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis. The event begins at 8 p.m. ET and a kickoff show one hour prior to the main card at 7 p.m. ET. ## Royal Rumble 2022: Brock Lesnar Vs. Bobby Lashley Full Match ## The match starts off with both locking up. They try to get the advantage and run into a stalemate. They lock up and Brock with a waist lock and German suplex. They go off and Lashley is hit with a German suplex and Lesnar. ## They lock down Lesnar and Lesnar with two more German suplexes. Lashley with a kick and punches. Lesnar prepares Bobby for the F5 but Lashley escapes. Lashley with a spear and he hits a second. Lesnar rolls to the floor.## Brock Lesnar is just upgrading some German Suplexes on Bobby Lashley. This match has been awesome so far. Lesnar is looking for another German Suplex, but this time Lashley counters it into Hurt Lock.## Lesnar drives Bobby Lashley into the corner to break the hold, the referee is also crashed in. Lesnar delivers an F5 and goes for the cover, but the referee is unable to respond.## Brock Lesnar is confused, he doesn't know what to do up next, Roman Reigns out of nowhere, Roman Reigns spears Brock Lesnar.## Roman wants the title belt and Paul hands it to him. Roman hits Brock with the belt and then tosses the belt to the mat. The record-breaking reign of Roman Reigns, now the longest-reigning Universal Champion in history, is set to make another title defense against Seth Rollins. ## Their title showdown at the Royal Rumble event on Saturday, Jan. 29, will be their first collision since October 2019 on an edition of SmackDown, and it will also represent the first time that they’ll be waging war for the Universal Championship in a singles match. ## As noted, WWE Official Adam Pearce was tasked with naming an opponent for the Universal Title for the premium live event on January 29. Arriving at the Reigns' locker room door with a knock that sounded like classic Shield entrance music, Rollins came face-to-face with his former brother-in-arms and erupted into a mad laugh. And the rest, as they say, is history. ## Rollins debuted on WWE's main roster at the 2012 Survivor Series as part of a faction called The Shield, alongside Jon Moxley (FKA Dean Ambrose in WWE) and Roman Reigns. The stable was later be universally praised and became a major element of WWE in the final years of the PG Era. ## Their first singles showdown came at Money in the Bank on June 19, Rollins defeated Reigns to win his second WWE World Heavyweight Championship, thus also becoming the first wrestler to legitimately defeat Reigns in singles competition on the main roster. ## Also, there is no Paul Heyman slithering around ringside, ready and willing to protect the title reign of The Tribal Chief at all costs. The Usos were also barred from ringside for the encounter, create a scenario in which Reigns will be forced to go it alone for the first time in a long time. Currently, Reigns is one of the top prizes in the industry. Newly crowned WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will go head-to-head with Bobby Lashley. There is no doubt, the combined force of Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar is gonna put on a hell of a match, probably a double of what is being expected. ## Nevertheless, everybody at the show would be looking for a clean winner. After Universal Champion Roman Reigns was unable to compete at WWE Day 1 due to COVID protocols, the intimidating Lesnar insisted he be added to the WWE Championship Match at the inaugural Premium Live Event. ## Out of the furious free-for-all of the Fatal 5-Way, The Beast overcame Lashley, Big E, Seth “Freakin’” Rollins, and Kevin Owens to claim the WWE Title and once again stand on top of the mountain. ## Two days later, The All-Mighty returned on Raw and emerged victorious in a fatal 4-way match against Owens, Rollins and Big E to re-establish themselves as the next challenger to The Conqueror, the same match as the original. It was scheduled for WWE Day 1. Lashley got his chance on the same night that the WWE Champion was reunited with his lawyer, Paul Heyman. ## It was noted on the Wrestling Observer Radio, that the plans for WrestleMania 38 have remained the same, regardless of Day 1. Two superstars from WWE NXT, are considered for the Royal Rumble involvement. ## According to PWInsider, WWE is bringing at least two top WWE NXT talents in for Royal Rumble weekend. ## According to the report, WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Gunther, the former WALTER, are slated to be in St. Louis next weekend for the Rumble event. ## However, the report isn't able to confirm if they will be in the Men's Rumble but they will, at least, be on deck if needed. ## We are almost 6 days away from the 2022 Royal Rumble event and it has already much buzz among the WWE Universe due to some surprising entrants (Some announced already and More Bound To Happen). ## The 2022 Royal Rumble will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event will air on pay-per-view (PPV) worldwide and will be available to stream through Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network. ## It takes place on January 29, 2022, at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri. As is tradition, there will be both a men's and women's Royal Rumble match on the card, with the 2022 editions each featuring a special guest entrant. Actor/stuntman Johnny Knoxville will be in the men's match, while Impact Wrestling's Knockouts World Champion Mickie James will be in the women's. ## 15 out of the 30 entrants have been announced for the men's Royal Rumble match as of January 23, 2022.
