WWE Monday Night Raw, October 23, 2023: Live Coverage
Judgment Day's champions, Finn Balor and Damian Priest, enter the ring. Finn greets everyone and teases a surprise. Damian agrees. Finn uses Priest's catchphrase to rally the crowd for Judgment Day. Priest approves and mentions that their teammates are handling some group business backstage, reaffirming their control of Raw.##
Cody Rhodes interrupts with his music, playfully asking how it feels to be interrupted. He speculates about Rhea being the true leader of Judgment Day and dealing with The Bloodline. Cody expresses a desire to address Damian about a low blow and hints at an ongoing feud.##
Priest counters, pointing out Cody's table encounter and questioning Cody's dealings with The Bloodline. Cody challenges them to a match, but Priest reminds him of Damian's match with Jey Uso. Cody suggests they face off at Crown Jewel, and Priest agrees. They're about to start a match when Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio make their entrance. ##
Jey Uso attacks Dominik in the aisle, while Cody and Priest brawl outside. Cody sends Priest into the announce table, and JD McDonagh chop blocks him. Cody retaliates, but Priest and JD double-team him, even using a chair against Cody's ankle. Officials intervene to stop the assault. ##
Afterward, we cut to a commercial break. ##
Upon returning, we see a recap of these events, with JD McDonagh attacking Cody Rhodes. In the backstage area, Cody reassures Adam and Jey that he's fine, despite their suggestion to see a trainer. ##
Chad Gable and Otis (with Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa) vs. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods ##
Chad and Woods begin the match, with Chad locking in a front face lock. Woods escapes, and Gable sweeps his legs. They exchange moves, and Kofi tags in, landing a series of kicks and splashes on Chad. Kofi goes for a splash, but Chad catches him in an ankle lock. ##
Chad attempts a German suplex, but Kofi avoids it. Chad clotheslines Woods over the top rope, and Otis enters with a clothesline to Kofi and a back body drop to Woods. After a commercial break, Otis tries a Vader Bomb, but Kofi evades it. Woods and Chad re-enter the ring. Woods hits a corner splash, but Chad counters with a waist lock and throat thrusts. Woods responds with a Russian leg sweep and a back senton. Chad rolls up Woods for a near fall. ##
Woods lifts Chad onto his shoulders and slams him for another near fall. Chad attempts multiple German suplexes, nearly pinning Woods after the third one. Otis tags in, splashing Kofi's back, and follows it up with the Caterpillar and an elbow drop. Woods counters with a super kick, and Kofi delivers a double sledge. They hit a double super kick, and Kofi finishes off Otis with Trouble in Paradise. He adds a flip dive onto Chad, and Woods secures the victory with a springboard elbow drop, getting the three-count. ##

Jackie interviews Becky Lynch backstage, highlighting her two title defenses this week.##

Indi attempts a suplex, but Becky counters with an inside cradle for a near fall. Becky struggles to lock in the DisArmHer, and Indi escapes a slam. Becky hits a reverse DDT for a near fall. Candice continues monitoring the situation from the locker room. Becky goes for a uranage, but Indi blocks it, and they exchange near falls. Becky applies the DisArmHer, and Indi taps out. ##

Johnny Gargano vs. Giovanni Vinci (with Ludwig Kaiser) ##
Vinci slams Johnny into the turnbuckles, landing chops and European uppercuts. He follows up with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and a forearm to Gargano's lower back, along with backbreakers and a fallaway slam. ##
On the apron, Vinci blocks Gargano's kick and counters with one of his own. Gargano responds with a slingshot spear as Vinci charges at him. They exchange forearm strikes, but Kaiser's interference briefly distracts Gargano. Vinci seizes the opportunity to attack Gargano from behind, but Gargano strikes back with a superkick. ##
Kaiser's presence on the apron prompts Ciampa to intervene, pulling Kaiser into the ring post and the timekeeper's area. Gargano takes advantage and lands a kick on Vinci, securing the victory with the One Final Beat. ##

Natalya manages a German suplex, followed by a slingshot atomic drop. She knocks Piper down on the apron and hits a discus clothesline for a near fall. Green attempts the UnprettiHER, and Piper tags in. Natalya's Sharpshooter is blocked, and Green executes the UnprettiHER, with Piper finishing it off with a cross body for the three-count victory. ##

Singles Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn ##
The music hits, and Sami Zayn makes his entrance, with Drew McIntyre following close behind. The bell rings, and they engage in a lockup. Drew backs Sami into the corner, then shoves him to the center before they lock up once more. Sami attempts a shoulder tackle, but it doesn't budge Drew. He tries another one, with the same result. ##
On the third attempt, Sami opts for a chop, and Drew responds with a tackle, followed by a chop in the center of the ring. Sami rolls out, and he drags Drew out of the ring. Drew sends Sami into the ringside barrier, but Sami jumps onto the barricade and turns it into a moonsault. He gets Drew back into the ring, and Drew responds with a vertical suplex in the middle. ##
Drew delivers a series of chops to Sami, taking him down. Sami tries to return with chops of his own, but they have little effect on Drew, and he is taken down once more. Sami manages to send Drew over the top rope and lands a boot. He goes for a crossbody from the ropes, but Drew catches him mid-air and hurls him into the announce desk. ##
After the commercial break, Drew is clearly in control against Sami, but it's not coming easy for him. Sami manages to avoid a Vertical Suplex and gracefully lands on his feet. Drew finds himself crashing into the corner, and Sami seizes the opportunity to attempt his own Vertical Suplex. However, Drew swiftly regains his footing, and Sami cleverly sends him over the top ropes. With remarkable agility, Sami follows it up with a Moonsault over the top ropes. ##
Sami guides Drew back into the ring and promptly ascends to the top turnbuckle. Drew isn't going down without a fight and starts unloading a series of punches. They engage in a fierce battle on the top rope, and Drew attempts to lift Sami onto his shoulders. Yet, Sami skillfully counters, turning it into a Sunset Flip Powerbomb in an effort to secure the pinfall victory. However, he falls just short of the three-count. ##
Sami attempts a Blue Thunder Bomb, but Drew responds with a Glasgow kiss. Sami retaliates with a kick of his own and follows it up with another Blue Thunder Bomb, seeking a pinfall, but Drew still manages to kick out. The crowd erupts in "This is Awesome" chants. ##
Sami sets his sights on executing an Exploder, but Drew counters by sending him over his shoulder with a Vertical Suplex. Drew then delivers a neck breaker and patiently waits for the perfect moment to unleash his Claymore Kick. As the tension builds, Rhea Ripley makes her way to the ring, creating a distraction. Seizing the opportunity, Sami attempts an Inside Cradle for a near fall. Sami then plants an Exploder, but the presence of Ripley on the apron distracts him just enough. Drew capitalizes on the situation and lands a devastating Claymore Kick, securing the cover to claim victory in the match.##

In the backstage area, we find Nick Aldis, Katana, and Kayden gathered. At the same time, Adam enters the scene with the intention of having a conversation with Nick. Adam expresses his desire for Nick to observe and learn from the situation rather than engaging with his superstars. They exchange a handshake, and Adam expresses his gratitude to Nick for being present. ##
Subsequently, Aldis exits the area, and Nikki Cross enters. Pearce informs Nikki that he's in need of a drink. ##
Bronson Reed vs. Akira Tozawa (with Maxxine Dupri) ##
The bell rings, initiating the match, and Tozawa opens with a flurry of chops, but they seem to have little effect on Reed. Reed promptly takes Tozawa down and follows up with a powerful elbow strike. He then hurls Tozawa into the corner, showing no mercy, although the crowd is firmly in Tozawa's corner, cheering for him. ##
Tozawa seizes an opportunity by sending Reed into the ropes and climbing to the top turnbuckle for a Crossbody, but Reed displays his strength and catches Tozawa mid-air. Reed executes a devastating Death Valley Driver, followed by a Back Senton, further punishing Tozawa. Reed ascends to the top rope and delivers his Tsunami finisher to secure the victory. ##

Singles Match: Jey Uso vs. Damian Preist ##
The main event kicks off as the bell rings, and the two competitors engage in a lock-up. Priest gains the upper hand and forcefully sends Jey into the corner. Jey counters with a solid punch as Priest attempts a shoulder tackle. Following that, Priest connects with a potent right hand, drawing cheers from the crowd. He proceeds to land a well-placed kick and follows it up with a headbutt. ##
Priest attempts another maneuver in the corner, but this time, Jey anticipates it and evades, causing Priest to collide with the turnbuckles. Jey seizes this opportunity to deliver a sharp Dropkick, which propels Priest over the top ropes. With swift agility, Jey then goes for a suicide dive, successfully taking Priest down outside the ring. ##
We return from the commercial break, and Priest executes a Vertical Suplex to a raucous crowd that's eager to see some table action. Jey Uso counters with a solid punch, and they engage in a back-and-forth exchange in the center of the ring. Jey attempts to gain the upper hand with a series of punches, but Priest finds himself caught up on the ropes. Seizing the moment, Jey delivers a Superkick from the apron, then ascends to the top turnbuckle and leaps for a cover attempt, but Priest manages to kick out. Jey looks to execute a Samoan Drop, but Priest escapes and responds with a powerful Clothesline. Priest then sets his sights on a Chokeslam, but Jey manages to evade and counters with a Samoan Drop of his own, going for a pin, but Priest kicks out. ##
Priest rolls out of the ring, and Jey attempts a Suicide Dive, but Priest snatches him in mid-air and slams him onto the table. Priest brings Jey back into the ring, and though Jey puts up a fight, Priest delivers another Flatliner for a near fall. Priest then looks to execute a Razors Edge, but Jey manages to evade and counters with a superkick. ##
As Jey ascends to the top turnbuckle and prepares for a Frog Splash, Finn Balor makes his presence felt, leading to a distraction that occupies the referee. Jey Uso responds by delivering a Superkick to Finn, knocking him off the apron, and then goes for a Suicide Dive. Jey returns to the ring, but this time, Priest catches him and executes the South of Heaven for the cover, securing the victory in the match. ##
WINNER: Damain Priest ##
After the match, Balor attacks Jey, hitting the Coup de Grace. Priest tells Balor to get chairs.##
Cody's music plays, and he goes after Finn, sending him into the ringside barrier. Cody then attacks Priest with a chair, focusing on his leg. He prepares for more chair shots, but Finn pulls Priest out of harm's way. ##
