Kurt Angle Opens Up About WWE Producer Departure: Anticipated Release And Lack Of Passion

New York, 16 October - Kurt Angle, a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, concluded his in-ring career at WrestleMania 35 with a loss to Baron Corbin. Following this, Angle transitioned into a backstage role as a producer within WWE. ## During his tenure as a producer, Angle occasionally made sporadic appearances on WWE television. However, his departure from the company occurred shortly thereafter. On April 15, 2020, Angle was released from his WWE contract as part of cost-saving measures due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. ## Despite his release from WWE, Angle has not refrained from making appearances on WWE television. His most recent appearance was on Raw is XXX, which took place on January 23, 2023. During this event, he participated in a segment with D-Generation X, which included Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, and X-Pac. ## In a recent episode of his own podcast, "The Kurt Angle Show," Angle reflected on his role as a WWE producer and discussed how it all came to an end. ## "Yes, [Mark Carano] called me. 'Hey, we're going to let you go.' Actually, I wasn't that into my job. I was a producer. I was killing time. I knew that if they were going to do cuts, I would be the first one let go because they were paying me a lot of money, more money than other producers. I knew that if they were going to do cuts and they were going to let go of someone, I'd be the first. I didn't put much into it, I really didn't. I should have been a lot more passionate about it," said Angle. ## Undoubtedly, Kurt Angle's legacy as a top WWE star during his in-ring career is firmly established. Throughout his tenure with WWE, Angle accomplished an impressive array of championship victories. His championship accolades include the WCW Championship (1 time), WCW United States Championship (1 time), World Heavyweight Championship (1 time), WWF/WWE Championship (4 times), WWE Tag Team Championship (1 time, where he and Chris Benoit were the inaugural champions), WWF European Championship (1 time), WWF Hardcore Championship (1 time), and WWF Intercontinental Championship (1 time). ## Notably, Angle also became the Fifth Grand Slam Champion, earned the title of King of the Ring in 2000, became the 10th Triple Crown Champion, and emerged as the victor of the WWE Tag Team Championship Tournament in 2002, all while teaming up with Chris Benoit. His exceptional career in WWE showcased his unmatched wrestling prowess and contribution to the company's history. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

Predicting Top 3 Things To Happen On 10/16/23 WWE Raw

Los Angeles, 15 October - WWE has an impressive roster set for tonight's event at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. To kick things off, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles will be up for grabs, with champions Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defending their titles against Judgment Day. ## In another championship bout, Bronson Reed will vie for the Intercontinental Title against Gunther. Additionally, a Falls Count Anywhere Match will see Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura going head-to-head in a high-stakes showdown. Moreover, the card features a singles match pitting Shayna Baszler against Rhea Ripley. ## Let's check out the top 3 things: ## #1. The rivalry between Ivar and Kofi Kingston continues ## It's been a considerable stretch since they last locked horns in a feud, and it seems this should come to a resolution at WWE Crown Jewel. In the preceding week, Kofi Kingston and Ivar squared off in a Viking Rules Match, with Kofi emerging as the victor. ## Yet, it appears that the rivalry is far from reaching its conclusion. ## #2. Sami Zayn To Address Kevin Owens' Trade ## As previously mentioned, Kevin Owens has made the transition to SmackDown and will no longer be seen on WWE Raw. During his tenure on the Raw brand, Owens frequently teamed up with his tag partner Sami Zayn, but this partnership has now come to a close. ## In a recent episode of SmackDown, Nick Aldis, the newly appointed GM of the brand, officially announced Owens' trade to SmackDown. Consequently, I anticipate that Zayn will make his way to the ring to address Owens and share some words about their separation. ## #3. New Match To Be Announced For WWE Crown Jewel ## We're approaching WWE Crown Jewel, which is just under three weeks away, and as of now, only one match has been officially confirmed for the event. In my opinion, this week's episode of Raw should be the platform for WWE to unveil the lineup of matches for the upcoming event. ## Taking this into consideration, it's plausible that Rhea Ripley may put her title on the line against Nia Jax at Crown Jewel. Additionally, there is a strong likelihood that we'll witness the announcement of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles match for the event. ## Stay Tuned To Sacnilk...

They part ways. ## The broadcast shifts to a recap of Nakamura and Ricochet's recent encounter. ## Backstage, Jey approaches Sami to check on him. Sami initially shares his mixed emotions but eventually offers reconciliation, and they share a brief hug. ## Falls Count Anywhere Match: Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura ## Nakamura enters, and Ricochet swiftly attacks with a baseball slide, punches, and chops. Nakamura counters with a kick and a running knee on the turnbuckles. A reverse exploder by Nakamura nearly seals the deal. Ricochet fights back with his Recoil but only gets a near fall. He attempts a springboard dropkick, a Fosbury Flop, and they exchange forearms on the stage. ## The brawl goes backstage, Nakamura slamming Ricochet into LED screens. In the Gorilla position, Nakamura delivers knee strikes, and Ricochet responds with punches. Nakamura shoves a ref into Ricochet, but Ricochet leaps over for a running knee and a near fall. Ricochet attempts to suplex Nakamura through the table, but Nakamura returns to the ring. Nakamura lands a GTS for a near fall. ## Ricochet counters a Kinshasa with a kick and ends up on the apron. He follows up with a springboard 450 splash, coming close to victory. Ricochet sets up for a 630, but Nakamura stops him with a forearm. Ricochet knocks Nakamura off the turnbuckles, sending him to the floor. Ricochet kicks Nakamura on the apron and sets up for a superplex through the table. Nakamura grabs Ricochet's hand, pushing him off the turnbuckles and through the table. Nakamura lines up for Kinshasa and lands it, securing the three-count victory. ## WINNER: Shinsuke Nakamura ## Singles Match: Piper Niven (with Chelsea Green) vs. Natayla ## Natalya and Piper lock up, leading to a punch exchange. Piper counters a cross body attempt but can't pin Natalya. Head scissors by Natalya, blocked Sharpshooter, and a dropkick. Piper counters Natalya's moves with a knee and headbutt. ## After a break, Piper avoids a clothesline and trips Natalya but misses a back senton. Natalya nearly pins Piper with a roll-up and a dropkick. Piper's cross body misses. Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter, but Green's distraction on the apron causes chaos. Niven takes advantage, landing a cross body for the win. ## WINNER: Piper Niven ## Seth welcomed everyone to Raw, discussing last week's events, including Drew McIntyre becoming the number one contender. Drew challenged Seth, but Damian Priest attacked Drew. Dominic appeared with the Money in the Bank briefcase, and Drew supported him. Seth had questions and invited Drew to the ring.## Drew entered the ring and questioned Seth's claim of being at 100% when he got jumped. Seth showed footage of Drew talking to Rhea Ripley. Becky agrees to consider it and discuss it with Adam Pearce.## Rhea Ripley briefly appears, and after a commercial break, Drew McIntyre talks to Sami Zayn. Drew praises Sami's leadership during the Bloodline situation, and Sami mentions forgiving Jey Uso, which surprises Drew. Sami advises Drew to move past the Bloodline drama and challenges him to a match next week, which Drew accepts. ## Rhea Ripley declares her dominance in the women's division. ## Non-Title Match: Rhea Ripley vs. Shayna Baszler ## They start with a lock-up, Shayna targets Rhea's arm, and Rhea counters a few times. LA Knight To Roman Reigns: 'You Will Call Me Champ, You Will Even Call Me Chief'

Chicago, 15 October - Booking LA Knight against the current champion, Roman Reigns, would undoubtedly be a major coup for WWE. Since his transition to the main roster, Knight has taken an unexpected turn by rapidly ascending the ranks, establishing himself as one of the company's fastest-rising superstars in its storied history.## His status as a top star today is underscored by his remarkable success in merchandise sales, which is indicative of his burgeoning popularity. This, in turn, sets the stage for a potentially significant push within WWE. Now, it appears that the moment has arrived for Knight to embark on the most substantial phase of his career as he sets his sights on the championship currently held by Roman Reigns.## The genesis of this rivalry can be traced back to the previous Friday when Knight and Roman engaged in a heated confrontation in the ring, exchanging fiery words that hinted at a future showdown. This clash escalated during the event when Roman executed a devastating spear on Knight, intensifying their animosity. ## Nevertheless, there's an intriguing development that emerged during a recent WWE Live Event in Kansas City. In that event, Roman Reigns defended his title for the first time since SummerSlam earlier this year, going up against Sami Zayn. Reigns managed to secure the victory, thanks in part to some interference from The Bloodline. Following the contest, The Bloodline initiated a brutal assault on Zayn, prompting Knight to rush to his aid. ## After single-handedly clearing the ring of his adversaries, Knight seized the opportunity to address the audience via the microphone, delivering the following lines: ## “You will call me Champ…you will even call me Chief.” ##
