On Tuesday, October 4, on the episode of NXT, Von Wagner defeated Andre Chase to make his way into the North American Championship match at the NXT Halloween Havoc.## He was joined by Carmelo Hayes, Wes Lee and Oro Mensah in winning the match. There is now one opening position left and it will go to either Nathan Frazer or Axiom. The opening bout for the October 5 episode of AEW Dynamite has been revealed. ## MJF announced his match against Wheeler Utah on Twitter, saying that his match against Wheeler Utah would mark the anniversary debut of the one that aired on TBS. Title Change Plans Nixed For Kenny Omega Vs. Andrade El Idolo Match

AEW has been full of drama for most of 2022 with multiple scandals spread out over the months. most notably between CM Punk and AEW EVPs Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks, who are currently suspended after an altercation after All Out.## Andrade opened up about his own issues with Sammy Guevara, talking with Mas Lucha:## “I learned about the (All Out backstage fight gossip) initially via social media with many headlines saying “The guy fought this guy” and all that. Everyone usually stays in the same hotel on Wednesday for Dynamite until the Thursday after. I trained in the gym and then a guy reached out to me and asked if I had heard about the altercation and I was like “What? When? What happened?!”. ## “I learned that there was an issue between Kenny (Omega) & CM Punk. The two of them have always greeted me well, and I got nothing bad to say about them, and the same thing goes for The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson). ## “They are all good with me, but I did have one issue with a wrestler. I am going to say his name, it was Sammy Guevara. I had an issue with him because he once came to the locker room and complained that we hit him too hard. ## “It’s wrestling, solve it in the ring. If I hit hard, hit me hard too. I learned that he came in and that he accused me like a little girl. After I learned about it, I spoke to him and asked if he had an issue with me, but he said he did not and that’s all there was to it.## “It’s funny because not even in WWE. For example, Sheamus likes to hit, and all my respect for him because he loves to hit hard and loves the strikes. He is wild. Even The Miz likes to throw strikes. Tony Khan: AEW's Roster Is The Most Stable It Has Been All Year

Here is the current update regarding Tony Khan's statement in which most months of AEW 2022 have been full of drama with several scandals. Despite all this, the AEW CEO thinks his television roster has been the most stable in an entire year.## Khan made an appearance in My Mom's Basement with Robbie Fox where he was asked whether expanding the AEW rampage might be a possibility given the company's loaded roster and the company's hundreds of stars having problems spreading television time. In response, the president of AEW said that the company is in a very good position at the moment.## “Well I was just speaking with the Warner Brothers Discovery executives, who are really excited about last week’s results because it’s been a really strong run,” Khan said. “We’re on the best run of Dynamite ratings, the best six weeks we’ve had all year have been the last six weeks. I think it’s been in large part due to, obviously most of all the great support from the wrestling fans, but also the wrestlers right now. We have a great crew, we have great champions, great contenders up and down the card, and now great stories coming into place because this has been the most stable TV crew we’ve had, I would say the last five, six weeks, all year.## “There’s been so many different injuries. Obviously, the hurricanes kept a few people out this past week that are prominent names, but that’s a one-week thing. Normally that would be terrible and catastrophic, but really first of all you gotta look to the hurricane itself, with the priority that people need to take care of their families and their homes, but it’s just a one-week dip compared to some of the major injures and incidents that have put people out for longer periods of time. So frankly, the last five, six weeks have not only been the best TV ratings of the year for us, the best business period of the year for us. It’s the perfect time to be going into the anniversary with this great support.## This is a very good moment for the company to shift the morale towards positive. With Cody Rhodes coming back to WWE, MJF's contract issues, and injury to top names like CM Punk, Adam Cole and Brian Danielson, AEW has had enough issues.
