Top Released WWE Star Set For Ric Flair’s Last Match Event

A new match has been added to the card for the “Ric Flair’s Last Match” event. ## Starrcast Events announced Tuesday that former WWE stars Killer Kross and Davey Boy Smith Jr. will go one-on-one in “an epic grudge match” at the July 31 show. ## Kross and Smith Jr. have played several matches in the past for promotions such as GCW and Josh Barnett's Bloodsport. Smith Jr defeated Kross by submission at Bloodsport 1 in Barnett in April 2019. While he had several run-ins in MLW and had a brief feud with Team Gandii in March 2020, he never really closed for a singles bout. ## Jim Crockett Promotions Presents “Ric Flair’s Last Match” will air live on FITE TV as a pay-per-view event. Update On Jon Moxley’s Status After AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door Match

Jon Moxley fans were worried about his exit from the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event, where he defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event to become interim AEW World Heavyweight Champion.## Moxley was busted soon after performing the Sling Blade. After the match, Moxley said in a promo to live fans that he could be injured.## In the Daily Update on Monday, Dave Meltzer was told that Moxley has said he is fine, and admitted that he probably shouldn't have said the line referencing a possible injury.## It was also discussed on today's Wrestling Observer Radio that Moxley doesn't have a concussion and he's probably not going to use the line again because he thinks people would freak out over it. ## “What actually happened was and I probably should’ve known this because I think he did this somewhat similar promo after the Tom Lawlor match, but he’s used the line before after bloody matches where [he said], ‘I’ve lost a lot of blood, I maybe concussed.’ I guess it’s part of his schtick actually. Kevin Owens' match against Ezekiel or Elias or Elrod was pulled from tonight's Monday Night Raw! ## It was advertised that Kevin Owens was scheduled to wrestle Ezekiel or Elias or Elrod tonight on Raw in a Men’s Money In The Bank qualifying match. It should be noted, this was previously announced to be a singles match, but later WWE raised the stakes. ## Although, The match didn’t happen as scheduled but Ezekiel did appear backstage in a segment with John Cena. Wrestlers were on both sides of the aisle applauding Cena as he made his entrance to a very loud ovation. Cena was happy to be here. He wasn’t much for celebrating milestones because he always wanted to look ahead to what was next. But tonight was different. Tonight wasn’t about any one of his moments or matches, tonight was about the fans. The fans have allowed him to do this for two decades. ## Cena said he was 45 years old and he didn’t know when we’d see him in the ring again. A few fans were about to start a “one more match” chant but he cut them off and said it wouldn’t be just one. He said when he returned it wouldn’t be about him, it would be about “us.” Cena said “we” were just getting started and if you want some, come get some. ## Cena embraced a young fan before chucking his armbands and t-shirt into the crowd.
