Jimmy Korderas Says Liv Morgan Isn't Ready To Be Champion Just Yet

Jimmy Korderas was a recent guest on The Wrestling Inc. Daily where he discussed the women’s match between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan at WWE Day 1 PPV event.## During the talk, Korderas stated that Morgan's match against Becky lynch was good, but he doesn't think Liv is ready for that spot just yet! ## “I thought she performed well against Becky, the match was good. I just don’t think Liv, in my opinion, is ready for that spot just yet,” he claimed. “Not from an in-ring standpoint. It’s more from a character standpoint and working on her character and working on her ability on the microphone, I don’t think she’s quite there yet. To be at that level, to carry the women’s division just yet.” ## “At least from what I was hearing on my television, there were some boos for Becky, finally, which is the desired reaction for the company but at the same time Liv wasn’t getting that babyface pop that you wanted her to get,” Jimmy said. “They were still a little bit quiet for her, which is not the reaction that you want.” ## It was cool seeing Beth, but at the same time she could have at least come down to ringside, instead of just standing there, I just felt. Have her walk down then Maryse come back up,” he said. “They don’t have to have physical contact. Just that little bit, make her kind of back up and that sort of thing. It was also the surprise return of Sasha Banks that truly shook things up. ## Moments after The Boss declared her intention to enter the Rumble, she slapped The Queen and kicked off all-out bedlam between all the competitors in the ring. So, we could see a Tag Team match. ## Goldberg Set To Challenge Roman Reigns For The Universal Title At Elimination Chamber ## Per Fightful, the plan for Bill Goldberg is to return to WWE imminently. The working plan has been for Goldberg to work the upcoming Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia. ## Goldberg would be challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. The match was set to take place for the title two years ago at WrestleMania, but Reigns withdrew from the match at the start of the pandemic and didn't return until August 2020. ## Considering how much WWE creative has changed in recent weeks, this is hardly a given. Last year, Bill Goldberg claimed in Sports Illustrated that he had one match remaining on his deal, though in other interviews, he'd said he's signed through 2023. Those we spoke to believe his deal is up after his upcoming match. ## Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. Sami Zayn To Be Announced ## The champion had been out with an arm injury since the December 2021 WWE Live event. Before the 2022 Royal Rumble event, he announced on his Instagram Stories that he has been cleared for "fighting." ## So, WWE is likely to go with the impending match between Sami Zayn and Nakamura. The bout between the two has been teased a handful of times and even been made official on one occasion, but nothing worked out clearly. ## On the January 21st edition of SmackDown, Deville once again interfered in Naomi's business, making herself the referee for the match between Charlotte and Naomi, which was won by Charlotte. ## Later on, Backstage Adam Pearce announced that the match between Naomi and Sonya is once again official for next Friday. ## Winner Prediction: Sonya Deville ## The New Day(Big E & Kofi Kingston) Vs. Happy Corbin & Riddick Moss ## Last week on SmackDown Kofi Kingston (with Big E) defeated Riddick Moss (with Baron Corbin). After the match, Corbin got in the ring, and Big E took off his jacket and confronted Corbin, but he went back to the floor. ## However, Big E picked up Moss and hit a Big Ending. So, coming up next week, Kofi Kingston & Big E will take on Riddick Moss and Happy Corbin. ## Winner Prediction: The New Day ## Ridge Holland & Sheamus Vs. Ricochet & Cesaro ## Ridge Holland will make his first in-ring return since having his nose broken at WWE Day 1, Ridge Holland joins forces with his mentor Sheamus in the hopes of getting his retribution on Ricochet and his partner Cesaro for the injury. ## Winner Prediction: Ridge Holland & Sheamus ## Predicted Match Card ## SmackDown Tag Team Titles Match: The Usos(c) Vs. Viking Raiders ## Two weeks ago on SmackDown Viking Raiders earned a SmackDown Tag Team Title opportunity against The Usos. However, WWE hasn't come out to confirm the following match for this week, but I guess it to happen this Friday. ## Singles Match: Xia Li Vs. Natalya ## After establishing a world record for fastest victory in WWE history over Natalya, the up-and-comer once again battled the three-time Guinness World Record holder. ## When Aliyah once again turned in a competitive effort against Natalya, the frustrated third-generation Superstar refused to follow the officer's instruction and got herself disqualified. When Natalya continued to brutally beat down Aliyah after the bell, "The Protector" Xia Li unexpectedly appeared to engage Natalya and send the assaulter heading for the hills. ## For other options, A Tag Team match will do all. So, never say never, I would like to bring Lana in against Xia Li and Aliyah. ## Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns To End Up Brawling ## It's gonna be the last show before Royal Rumble takes the stage, so, I would prefer to witness a preview of what's coming at the event. Last week on SmackDown, Seth “Freakin” Rollins & Kevin Owens def. The Usos by disqualification. ## During the match, Rollins executed a vicious Stomp.
