On 30th July 2021, she defeated Chinese Taipei's Chen Nien-chin and secured her medal. ## Her women's welterweight quarterfinal clash at the Tokyo Olympics on Friday has assured her that she will win at least a bronze medal. India's only medal at the Games so far has been weightlifter Mirabai Chanu's silver in the 49kg division. ## In March 2020, Borgohain secured the Olympic berth in the 69 kg with a 5-0 win over Maftunakhon Melieva of Uzbekistan in the 2020 Asia & Oceania Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament. Six-Time World Amateur Boxing Champion Mary Kom has brought up a major upset for India as she goes down to reigning Olympic Bronze medallist Ingrit Valencia in Pre-Quarterfinals of Women's 51kg category. ## Sh successfully qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but The 38-year-old legend, who is the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer (male or female) to win eight World Championship medals, lost 2-3 to reigning Olympic Bronze medallist Ingrit Valencia. ## Following her round of 16 bouts against Ingrit Valencia of Colombia 2-3, she is now out of the Games. Mary won the third and final round 3-2, but the margin had put in a lot of damage in the first round. ## The country pride is the only Indian female boxer to have qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, competing in the flyweight (51 kg) category and winning a bronze medal. At the Tokyo Dome on July 25, Okada survived incredible punishment to surprise the Imperial Unit with a rollup to capture victory. A frustrated Cobb declared that he would head back to the United States to come up with another gameplan, but this turned out to be a ruse. July 27 in Korakuen, Cobb surprised an Okada victorious after tag team competition, and delivered a thunderous Tour of the Islands. Backstage Cobb delcared that he wanted more of Okada one on one, and the date is now set. Will lightning strike twice for the Rainmaker, or will Cobb score the biggest win of his career to date? ## Also official for night one in the MetLife Dome, Toru Yano will challenge KOPW 2021 holder Chase Owens.
