'Kannappa' Official Release Date Locked

Hyderabad, November 25 - Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu's prestigious devotional action drama Kannappa is one of the keenly-awaited Telugu movies with big actors featuring in it. The movie is directed by Mahabharata fame Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu. ## Kannappa has been in the making since last year and the makers have now confirmed its release date. On Monday, Vishnu Manchu took to social media to announce that the film would be hitting worldwide cinemas on April 25, 2025, in multiple languages. The team unveiled a poster showcasing a trident to reveal the release date. ## The film was initially planned for a December 2024 release but the makers are taking extra time in the production to make sure the best output is ready. Earlier, the team launched the teaser of the film at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and that helped to create buzz. ## Kannappa stars Vishnu Manchu in the title role alongside Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal, Madhoo, and Mohan Babu, among others in supporting roles. Box Office: 'Karan Arjun' and 'Pushpa - The Rise' Re-Release Opening Weekend Collection

Mumbai, November 24 - There were a couple of re-releases this weekend at the Hindi box office in the form of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan-fronted cult classic Karan Arjun and Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa - The Rise of which the sequel is gearing up for December 5 release worldwide. ## Karan Arjun, directed by Rakesh Roshan, had a wide re-release with over 2000 shows scheduled daily during the opening weekend. However, the movie couldn't replicate the success of the recent Bollywood re-releases and ended with the opening of around 1 crore gross collection. ## There wasn't much movement in the collection after the opening day of around 30 lakh gross as Saturday figures were almost similar to Friday and on Sunday, the movie is expected to gross around 40 lakh. With a not-so-encouraging opening weekend after a wide re-release, Karan Arjun is unlikely to have much impact during the weekdays. ## Allu Arjun's Pushpa - The Rise also had a wide re-release this weekend in Hindi and managed to gross around 70 lakh in the opening weekend. There wasn't much awareness about the re-release of the film among the audiences so whatever it has earned is a bonus. ## The Sukumar's directorial, which was originally released in 2021, grossed around 20 lakh on its first day of re-release, followed by 25 lakh each on Saturday and Sunday. 'Cocktail' Sequel In The Works With Shahid Kapoor

Mumbai, November 23 - With franchises making waves at the Bollywood box office, more and more standalone films are getting sequels and the latest to join this trend is 2012's romantic comedy Cocktail which was headlined by Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. ## Directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films with others, Cocktail was a box office hit with over 120 crores gross collection worldwide. Now, more than a decade later when franchises are succeeding at the box office, Maddock Films has put Cocktail 2 in the making. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, producer Dinesh Vijan has been working idea of the sequel with director Homi Adajania and they've now crafted a storyline that they believe matches the magic of the first film. Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is in talks to headline the project. ## Shahid has not yet signed on the dotted line but has reportedly verbally committed to this film, which would mark his second collaboration with Maddock following this year's robotic romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The report further states that the talks are on with young actresses to come on board. ## The film is expected to start rolling by the middle of 2025 after Shahid completes Vishal Bhardwaj's action thriller which goes on the floor this December. Mumbai, November 18 - Producer Sajid Nadiadwala officially announced the 4th instalment of the action thriller franchise Baaghi, starring Tiger Shroff. Baaghi 4 will be directed by the Kannada filmmaker A. Harsha who has previously directed almost a dozen films, including Bhajarangi and Vedha. ## Baaghi 4 was announced on November 18 with the first look poster in which Tiger Shroff is looking menacing. In the poster, Tiger is seen sitting on a toilet seat with a knife in hand and a bottle of alcohol. His face, the walls, and the floor are splattered with blood, while dead bodies lie around him. ## The shoot of the film has commenced today (November 18) as the makers confirmed September 5, 2025, release date. Box Office: 'Kanguva' First Sunday/4th Day Early Estimates

Chennai, November 17 - Kollywood star Suriya's Kanguva has an underwhelming extended opening weekend at the box office, considering the hype and craze it had among the fans before release. The movie scored a good opening but it has been a downfall since then. ## The movie scored a minor jump on Sunday, however, a big jump which was needed after the underwhelming first 3 days, was missing. According to the early estimates, the fantasy action thriller scored an estimated 12-13 crores gross collection in all versions on its 4th day. ## In Tamil Nadu, the movie scored more or less in the similar range as yesterday for an estimated 5.50 crores gross while showing a minor jump in most of the other areas. The total first 4-day weekend collection is around 64 crores gross in India, which is underwhelming. ## The negative word of mouth has affected Kanguva big time during the first weekend and now, a rebound looks difficult from hereon. Hyderabad, November 17 - Actor Dulquer Salmaan, who has done the majority of his films in the Malayalam cinema since debuting in this industry back in 2012, finally scored his maiden 100 crores grosser that too from a straight Telugu film, titled Lucky Bashkar. ## Directed by Venky Atluri, the period crime drama film topped this magical box office milestone on its 18th day (3rd Sunday), becoming the first movie of Dulquer and the second for director Atluri (after Vaathi/Sir) to achieve the feat. ## Lucky Bashkar grossed approximately 76 crores domestically and 26.50 crores overseas for a worldwide cume total of 102.50 crores through the third Sunday. It has also become the 6th Telugu movie of 2024 to breach this box office mark. ## The Telugu film industry has been lucky for Dulquer Salmaan who has a 100% success rate in Tollywood. The actor debuted in Tollywood with director Nag Ashwin's Mahanati (2018) which became a big success.
