AEW Dynamite October 12, 2022 Results & Live Coverage

We are here with the first-ever international episode of Dynamite alongside Tony Schiavone, Taz, and the newest member of the broadcast team.

Renee Paquette kicks off the show with a huge reaction from the Canadian crowd.

She introduces Toronto’s own Christian Cage, who said it’s great to be back and has a guarantee tonight on the same level of the Maple Leafs losing in the playoffs and introduces Luchasaurus.

Singles Match: Luchasaurus Vs 'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry

The match starts off with Perry stepping Christian over the spring while standing with his back in the ropes and his right hand on the floor. Luchasaurus misses a slap against the post and Perry goes behind the arm. Luchasaurus launches Perry into the guard rail and hits a back suplex on the side of the apron.

Luchasaurus was dominating the match during the commercial break. Perry tries to dive through the table, Luchasaurus catches him, but Perry counters into a storm into the post. The two go to the apron over the table as Perry avoided a powerbomb with a superkick, but Luchasaurus grabs the ropes. Perry hits a sunset flip from the ring to the floor to drive Luchasaurus through the table.

Christian is bringing distraction for Perry Luchasaurus with a buckle bomb and a chokeslam for two. Perry countered a fling in a crucifix slam for two of his own in a dizzying backbreaker. Perry hits a poison rana and killswitch for a very close two. Christian briefly distracts Parry to climb the ropes and Luchasaurus hit a super choke slam followed by a burning hammer for three-count.

Winner: Luchasaurus via pinfall

TNT Champion Wardlow & ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe Vs Nick Comoroto & QT Marshall w/Aaron Solo

The match kicks off with Solo dispatching, as Joe hits Marshall with a running senton. Comoroto intercepts a Muscle Buster attempt but is thrown to the floor, while Joe Side steps onto a diving marshal. Marshall is knocked inside out with a Lariat.

Comoroto goes for a Spinebuster as Joe holds a leg while Wardlow hit a Senton Atomico. Joe uses a Cocina clutch for early submission. After the match, Marshall suffered a powerbomb.

Winner: TNT Champion Wardlow & ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe via Submission

After the match, Prince Nana interceded with Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony. He's stuck his nose with WarJoe in his business with FTR in the past week, which promptly ousted FTR. Dax makes a challenge to the Embassy, saying that they could not ask Warzo because he had just had a match, but would have a Toronto guy for the team.

Shawn Spears is back and he's apparently a babyface now. Spears sends Solo to the ring to stand tall so he can be hit with a big rig by FTR. I know Spears is a hometown guy, but it was a little weird for her to be a babyface out of nowhere.

Swerve Strickland Vs. Billy Gunn w/AEW Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed

Swerve hits a springing dropkick to the leg of Gunn. Swerve performs a Slingshot Diving Knee drop to the floor and gets Gunn back into the ring with a Strike. Gunn with a Tilt A Whirl Slam for relife.

Billy goes for a Crotch Chop but applies Scissors instead. Meanwhile, Swerve responds with a Flatliner and hits Gunn with a Swerve Stomp off the top for two. Swerve goes for a Home Run kick, but misses it. However, Swerve gets the roll-up and grabs the rope for three-count to win the match.

Winner: Swerve Strickland via pinfall

After the match, The Acclaimed hit the ring to check on the gun, wielding a scissor, but Mark Sterling interfered with Tony Nese. He has a document from the United States stating that Sterling now owns the proverbial "Scissors Me" in pro wrestling.

All the money from the sale of the T-shirts goes to Sterling, the hand gesture is his, if The Acclaimed does so, he will sue. This is a really silly story, I'm sorry.

Tony Schiavone is up next and he is in the ring. He brings out Tuesday’s AEW World Title match with challenger Hangman Adam Page and his guest at this time, World Champion Jon Moxley. Moxley takes the mic and says, after three years, it feels damn good to be back in Toronto. You always have a target on your back as World Champion, most crumble under the pressure, some faster than others. Meanwhile, Page interrupts because he wants whatever Moxley was going to say to say to his face. Page starts saying, last week what Moxley said meant the world to him, puts over Moxley as a great champion, father and husband. He doesn’t view Page as the same guy who knocked him off a ladder one year ago, he doesn’t think Page has the guts to pull the trigger to do what it takes to win.

Page says like Moxley, he’s lost love ones, but is a father & husband and started punching himself in the face yelling that he’s a man. Page doesn’t care if Moxley’s family is there next week, he’ll do whatever it takes to win the title back.

There is a huge chant for MJF, as Page's shoulder collided when Moxley left, as Page raised his own face with those punches. Having MJF in the crowd took away from this phenomenal promo of Hangman, despite it, it was an excellent final build for Tuesday night.

Ring of Honor World Title: Chris Jericho w/Matt Menard & Angelo Parker Vs Bryan Danielson

A slingshot sent Jericho out, where Danielson takes a dive through the ropes and elimination him. In the ring, Danielson aims the midsection until the two men engaged with 10 corner punches and chops. Jericho puts Danielson in the ropes, hit 9 punches, and, in 10th place, made a storm. Danielson then regains control with ribs and a roundhouse kick to the head for two.

Jericho starts his comeback after a commercial break with a DDT, as Danielson is sent out and wips out by a springboard cross body. Jericho goes over the top, but LeBelle gets cut into the lock with the Avalanche Butterfly suplex.

Anvil elbows poured down until Jericho rose up with Danielson on his feet with a Death Valley Driver variation. Jericho counters for a near fall in a code breaker. Danielson backs away from the corner, as referee Paul Turner pulls into Danielson and suffers a collision. Jericho and Danielson collided as Maynard threw the ROH title to Jericho.

Parker slams the referee into the ring as Jericho once again makes the cover to steal the match.

Winner: Chris Jericho w/Matt Menard & Angelo Parker

AEW Interim Women’s Champion Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida Vs Jamie Hayter & Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. w/Rebel

Winners: AEW Interim Women’s Champion Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida

AEW All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy Vs PAC

Cassidy misses an orange punch outside the gate and lits with a kick and is kicked inside out by Pac, who puts Cassidy's hands in his pocket and poks fun at him with short kicks. Pac rolls out and catches Cassidy diving into the Falcon Arrow.

Pac brings the referee Bryce back into the ring to count on Cassidy, something he should have done a while back. . Cassidy uses the ramp to drive him down, saving some time and breaking the count at 9. Cassidy rolls straight into the Brutalizer but was saved by a leg on the ropes.

Pac is dropped through the ropes to the floor with a diving DDT. Pac is extended with another DDT and ate an orange punch for close two. Cassidy goes to the top, but Pac rolls to the edge of the ring, where he is engaged with the middle brake. Pac blocks Orange Punch in a bridging suplex to Brutalizer. At the end, Cassidy pops up and hits another Orange Punch and a home run punch for the win and the title.

Winner: Orange Cassidy
