Adam Cole Scheduled To Undergo Two Surgeries On His Ankle
New York, 5 October - Adam Cole got his ankle hurt during AEW's Dynamite: Grand Slam event on September 20, 2023, held at New York's Arthur Ashe Stadium. Following the show, reports suggested that he sustained it when he leaped toward the ringside area, visibly limping afterward.
While appearing on the October 9 episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Cole revealed that he suffered an ankle injury, which resulted in a broken ankle and torn ligaments, necessitating surgery. Cole expressed his intention to relinquish the tag titles, but MJF countered by declaring that he would defend the title in a handicap match at WrestleDream which he won.
In a new update, during Twitch, Adam Cole stated that he’s scheduled to actually undergo two surgeries on his ankle, meaning he is likely set to have 4 screws and a plate inserted as part of recovery.
Cole stated that, it’s the most painful injury he’s ever had & that it’ll be quite a while to make a full recovery & comeback.
