Alia Bhatt's Character Details In Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love and War' Revealed

Mumbai, April 4 - Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, after Alia Bhatt-fronted Gangubabi Kathiawadi in 2022, is returning to the big screen with an epic saga Love and War, fronted by Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal.

Love and War is easily one of the most anticipated Indian films with some of the best talents featuring in it. Now, according to the latest report by Peepingmoon.com, Alia Bhatt will be playing the role of a jazz singer and she is excited to play the character.



"Love & War is a timeless story that delves into themes of love, loyalty, sacrifice, and the repercussions of relationship decisions. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia, and Vicky Kaushal play complex characters grappling with emotional turmoil while navigating their complicated circumstances".

"While the character details of the male leads are kept under wraps, Alia will be seen taking the mic to portray a jazz artist, and she's extremely excited to play such a character after crooning songs in her movies, Highway and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Hers is an emotionally conflicted role and could very well become the most complex character in her filmography", the report says.

The film is said to be a love triangle set against the backdrop of war. The pre-production work has already begun and Bhansali is aiming to take the film on floors by the end of this year to get it ready for the already announced Christmas 2025 release.

Alia Bhatt will next be seen in director Vasan Bala's Jigra, scheduled to release in September this year. The actress will soon start YRF's first female-led Spy Universe film in the next couple of months, followed by SLB's Love and War.
