Mumbai, August 18 - India's singing sensation, Arijit Singh has leapfrogged global music stars Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift to become the 3rd most followed artists on Spotify, and is now behind only Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande.





Arijit Singh has 86.3 million followers on the music platform, ahead of Billie Eilish (84.6 million) and Taylor Swift (83.1 million). Ed Sheeran, who is the most followed artist on Spotify, has 114.3 million followers, followed by Ariana Grande with 92.9 million followers.





Singh, who won a national award for the 'Binte Dil' song in "Padmaavat", is the only Indian artist in the top 10 most followed list on Spotify. Neha Kakkar is the second most followed Indian with 42.1 million followers (22nd overall), and overall, 9 Indian artists are in the top 100 list.





Arijit Singh has won 7 awards and 34 nominations in the category Album Of The Year along with 5 awards and 25 nominations in the category Male Vocalist Of The Year as well as 5 awards and 18 nominations in the category Song Of The Year in Mirchi Music Awards.





The latest track by Singh, Chaleya in Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" movie is the talk of the town. It has become a huge chartbuster and love anthem of the year and is being listened to in repeat mode.
